Category: Delightful Dozen

Easter Greetings

This is a card we did yesterday at stamp club.  Inspired by Pinterest, it features the Watercolor Wonder Designer Series paper and the Lattice die.  The front is embossed with the Mosaic embossing folder and I found it easiest to emboss it first and then die cut it with the Oval Framelits.

Supplies
Stamp Set – Delightful Dozen, Petite Petals
Cardstock – Whisper White, Watercolor Wonder DSP
Ink – Crushed Curry, Crisp Cantaloupe
Etc – Lattice die, Mosaic embossing folder, Oval Franelits, large pearl, Petite Petal punch, Bird punch

It was fun playing with the Lattice die again.  I had to dust it off and I’m glad I did!  Hugs, Fran

Postcard to Mom

This is the background stamp Postcard with Simple Stems stamped over it.  The Postcard stamp is easy to use and easy to cut out – just straight lines.  I used Pink Pirouette ribbon, but Primrose Petals ribbon would have been pretty too.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Postcard, Simple Stems, Delightful Dozen
Cardstock – Basic Gray, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White
Ink – Basic Gray, Pink Pirouette, Old Olive, Primrose Petals
Etc – Tasteful Trim die, Pink Pirouette ribbon

I really love pink and gray together.  Hugs, Fran

Love You to the Moon (and back!)

Are you working on Valentines?  Here’s one for you – Love you to the Moon.  And I pretty much cased my own card from here to do this one   I used Gorgeous Grunge in Real Red, Smokey Slate and Basic Black for the background and added some washi tape.  The moon spots are touched with Crystal Effects.

The inside has more washi tape (non-SU gift from my daughter) and the sentiment from Delightful Dozen.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Love You to the Moon, Gorgeous Grunge, Delightful Dozen
Card stock – Real Red, Whisper White, Basic Black
Ink – Real Red, Smokey Slate, Basic Black
Etc – Clip essentials, washi tape, Banner Framelit, Neutral Candy Dots

It’s fast and easy!  Hugs, Fran

Sparkling Deco Christmas Pop (N Cuts)

Lots of sparkle going on over here!  This Christmas card features the exclusive SU Pop N Cuts Base and Deco label dies (both by Karen Burniston)  and the beautiful Modern Medley Designer Series paper. On the front I stamped part of one of the sentiments from Delightful Dozen in Versamark and embossed it in gold.  It’s die cut using the Deco label die and layered on Silver Glimmer paper.  The stars on the bottom are punched using the small star punch and the larger star is from the Star #2 die.

The Deco Labels and the larger star are popped up (’cause it’s a pop-up card!)

The Deco Label insert and lots of different sparkle inside!

The top sentiment is the other part of the Delight Dozen sentiment of the front.  It’s stamped in Versamark and embossed in gold.  I die cut it out using Sizzix’s Banner & Boarders designed by Karen.  It is backed on Silver Glimmer paper.

The champagne flutes are from Easy Embellishments.  I stamped them on a 4″ circle of window sheet using a Glue pad and covered them in Gold Glitter.  Then I went around the circle with small stars in Silver and Champagne Glimmer paper.  The 2014 is die cut using the Timeless Type dies and they are popped up on the window sheet.  The window sheet is glued to the Deco Labels behind it just underneath the numbers.

Can you see it?

The bottom sentiment is from More Many Messages and is again embossed in gold and accented with more stars.  I find it easiest to adhere Glimmer Paper with glue.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Delightful Dozen, More Merry Messages
Card stock – Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Silver and Champagne Glimmer papers
Ink – Versamark
Dies – SU Pop N Cuts Base and Deco Label insert and dies, Sizzix Banner & Borders, Star #2, Clear Circle die, Timeless Type
Etc – small heart punch, window sheet, Gold Glitter, Glue pad

What a glittery way to send your Best Wishes!  Hugs, Fran

Mother’s Dress Up

The first thing I do when I get a papercrafting magazine is scour it for designs to case!  I finally got to sit down with Papercrafts and several ideas jumped out at me.  This is one.  Using the Dress Up Framelits, I cut the dress form from the some Baja Breeze cardstock and used pieces of Floral District Designer Series Paper behind it.

Supplies
Stamp Set – Delightful Dozen
card stock – Baja Breeze, Floral District DSP
Ink – Jet Black Stazon
Etc – Dress Up Framelits, Baker’s Twine, Tangerine Tango button, Scallop punch

The tragedy in Boston just takes my breath away.  Wishing peace to those affected by this senseless kind of craziness.  Hugs, Fran

Delightful Dozen Mothers Day

This card came together from a group of pieces that were in my stamping “pile!”  I had a dress form that I had already stamped and then changed my mind, a butterfly that was a left over from a project and several doilies that had been used to spritz another card.  Put them together and you get this!

This is the card that I used the doilies to spritz the front.  It’s a case of one that Donna Griffith did at a stamping demo.  So the Doilies were already very saturated with Shimmer Mist before I even started!  I just turned the center one over so it was solid.

The dress form had some of the Lace tape in the Spring Mini on the front – then sponged over and removed.  En Francais was stamped over the entire piece.

Fabulous Flourishes was stamped on the background using Stampin Write Markers.  Then I used Crystal Effects on the Not Quite Navy flowers to make them pop.

Supplies

Stamp Sets – Delightful Dozen, Papaya Collage, En Francais, Netting, Fabulous Flourishes
Cardstock – Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Not Quite Navy
Ink – Crumb Cake, Early Espresso
Stampin Write Markers – Early Espresso, Not Quite Navy
Etc – Dress Form Framelits, Doilies dies, Artisan kit (button) Lace tape, Crystal Effects, black twine, Platinum shimmer spray

All typos are my cat’s fault.  He has decided that he must sit on my arms while I type!  Hugs, Fran

Happy Valentine Day

Happy Valentine Day!  Casing Melissa Stout’s double easel Valentine card – so cute!

Etc – Hearts Framelit, Build a brad, Flower trim, Delicate Doilies Lace trim, Crumb Cake seam binding, Antique brad, Gold embossing powder

And this is the Heart Framelit with a little box in the middle to hold Ghiradelli squares.  Sorry to say I didn’t have as much control with the chocolate as I did with the M&Ms!  I think I ate almost half a bag making these!

Supplies (Valentine box)
Stamp Set – That’s the Ticket (Spring Mini)
card stock – Real Red, Very Vanilla, More Amore DSP
Ink – Real Red, Pool Party
Etc – Scallop Circle and Ticket punches, Hearts Framelits, 1″ square punch

Change the Look with Sentiments

At one of my stamp clubs we were talking about how to use a Valentine design into a card you can use for other occasions.  I told them I’d take up that challenge – so here you go ladies!  The same card with different looks simply by changing the sentiment  Above is Sassy Salutations – and below is Delightful Dozen.

The next three are sentiments found in Vintage Verses – a Sale a bration set!

I think I like the birthday sentiment from Delightful Dozen best.  How about you?  Hugs, Fran

Winged Love

Guess what?  I was wrong!  The Winged Hearts die fits perfectly in the Stampin Up Dress Form Base.  Sometimes I just need more coffee and good thump on the head!  For this Valentine I pulled out lots of stamp sets.  Did you know that Seasonal Sayings (Holiday Mini – front of card) is still available?  Page 36 of the Spring Mini has a list of everything that is being carried over.  This paper is fun – notice how I was able to use one of the hearts on the paper to “layer” onto the Be My Valentine sentiment!  Too much fun!

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Seasonal Sayings, Petite Pairs, Delightful Dozens
card stock – Pool Party, More Amore DSP, Very Vanilla, Real Red, Neutral Paper pack
Ink – Jet Black Stazon
Etc – Pop N Cuts Winged Hearts insert and die, Pop N Cuts Dress Form base die, Hearts Framelits, rhinestones, Itty Bitty Holiday Shapes punch, Heart punch

Love poppin up all over the place!  Hugs, Fran

Winged Amore

I won this Pop N Cuts insert – Winged Hearts – on Karen Burniston’s blog I am not left handed!  (Did you hear me screaming?)  It works in the Pop N Cuts Dress Form base and I used it to make this Valentine.  Because of the direction of the Stampin Up base, I cut the ends off of the piece for the insert and reversed the direction so that it would open correctly.   ETA: I am crazy!  It works perfectly as is! Then I made a shaker frame for the heart.  Kind of fun to have it pop out and shake at the same time.  The beautiful More Amore Designer Series paper fit perfectly on the front – like it was made for this card.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Delightful Decorations, You are Loved
card stock – Basic Gray, Real Red, Pool Party, Primrose Petals, More Amore DSP
Ink – Jet Black Stazon
Etc – Heart Sizzlet, Pop N Cuts Dress Form Base and Winged Hearts, Winged Hearts die, micro beads, Scalloped Border punch, Fan embossing folder, Full Heart punch

Thanks again, Karen, for the blog candy!  Hugs, Fran
