Design Team Challenge – Wedding or Baby

The Karen Burniston Design Team challenge is wedding or babies and I chose –

Baby! Using the Surprise Cube pop up , Mini Ball and the Monkey and Lion add ons, I created the center piece.

The front was created with the Alphabet and the Mini Alphabet, along with the Baby Charms.

I made a 3/4″ fold on the side to hold the lion easily.

Inside has a place to write your message framed with he Baby Charms.

I hope you enjoyed this card. Make sure to check out the other designer’s cards. Karen’s will be posted on Wednesday. Hugs, Fran

I had some scrapbook paper that I thought might make a good Karen Burniston Pop It Ups Hanging Charm Pull card.  Using the new Baby Charms and the paper on the page, I made a 5 x 7 card for a new bundle of joy.

The card is flat, so I put a few more elements on the back for writing the message.

Pop It Ups Design Team Challenge Day 1

The May Design Team Challenge is using the new Stage It Stencils by Karen Burniston!  These stencils are super fun!  They have 2 designs on each stencil that can be used as is or combined to make one darling design!  Today I’m using the Baby Pajamas stencil and Baby Clear stamp, along with Stampin Up’s Something for Baby stamp set and matching die all on a Accordion Rectangle card.  There’s also a surprise in the middle 🙂

This is the front.  I start by stenciling the baby pajama in pink with red hearts on my paper and then die cutting the Accordion Rectangle pieces.  The pram is stamped in Wisteria Wonder.

When you open it up, there’s a new matching baby pajama charm hanging in the center.

I sandwiched the Baker’s Twine between the patterned paper and the card stock.  Then I added some elements from Something For Baby.

I found a sweet poem about baby girls to decorate the third Rectangle.  So sweet!  Make sure to check out Karen’s blog to see all the other amazing cards from the design team using her new products!  Hugs, Fran

A Gift for for Baby

BYOP 04

A gift card holder for a baby! This uses the fun set B.Y.O.P. (Buy your own present) and Karen Burniston’s new Pop It Ups Gift Card Holder die (coming soon) – with cute, little Snowball the Sheep.  The paper is Watermelon Wonder from the Designer Series Paper Stack with a matching In Color Blossom Accent.

I just mixed and matched the patterns of the DSP and used the matching Watermelon Wonder ink.

This set goes so well with this die!  Hugs, Fran

Super Baby

RHODES

A friend of mine asked me to decorate some letters for a baby shower she’s going attend.  The new baby will be named Rhodes and his room is being decorated in a superhero theme.  Using some cut files from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons, I cut these images multiple time and paper pieced them onto the letters.  I did put some Mod Podge over the superhero images – I just wasn’t sure how well they’d hold up without it.  Hope she likes it!

In the meantime, it’s 8 below zero here!!  Another day to stay inside and stamp!  Hugs, Fran

Shaker Up Baby

Baby We've Grown 02

This little Circle Accordion album (Karen Burniston) uses Baby We’ve Grown on the front with a little rose and some punched leaves.  The pacifier in the corner is from my stash – no idea where it’s from!  I do love the bunny in this set!

Baby We've Grown 02 open

Open it shows the shaker piece in the middle and a sentiment from Something to Say. To make the shaker, I die cut a circle from the center of the accordion piece.  Then I die cut 2 circle from acetate and sewed around them, leaving a small opening at the top which I filled with punched stars and hearts.  I added some pink micro beads and glued the opening shut with glue dots.  Attaching it to the opening with glue dots, I made a separate ring to finish off the back.

Supplies

Stamp Sets – Baby We’ve Grown, Something to Say

Card stock – Pink Pirouette,  Whisper White, Soft Subtles DSP, Silver Glimmer paper, Melon Mambo

Ink – Memento Tux Black

Etc – Circle Accordion Album (Karen Burniston), Itty Bitty Accessories pack, micro beads, Hearts Border punch, Bird punch

I fully intended to use the Ring Accordion Album to make this card, but grabbed the other and half way through before I realized what I had done!  Silly me!  But I’m happy with how it turned out.  Hugs, Fran
