By the Tide

On Sunday we had a team meeting and did a shoebox swap.  This is where everyone brings all the supplies ready for us to make their card.  It’s fun!  My friend, Anne, designed this card for the swap.  She’s a beach lover (and I thought of her as soon as I saw this set in the catalog!)

Supplies
Stamp Sets – By the Tide, Tiny Tags
card stock – Pool Party, Island Indigo, Whisper White
Ink – Calypso Coral, Island Indigo
Etc – Fan embossing folder, Pool Party button, Tangerine Tango ribbon, Small curly punch

Isn’t it cute?  She’s let me borrow her set this week so hopefully I’ll get to play a bit.  Hugs, Fran

Pop N Up to Garden

I wanted to try making an invisible shelf for my Dress Form Pop N Cuts using a window sheet.  It’s a really cool look – or not look as the case may be!  Once I die cut the insert, I trimmed it down, leaving just enough to make the Pop Up work.

Her overalls were made by cutting the scallop off the bottom of the dress and snipping a small triangle in the center bottom.  You can only snip a small amount or you’ll have the form showing.  Then I added some stitching with my Stampin Write Marker, and few squares for pockets – and teeny tiny piece of Delicate Lace Tape in the pocket.  The straps on the overalls are drawn and mini brads were used to look like snaps. The tree is a very old Sizzix die.  The shovel is an oval punch.

The basket is from A Little Bit of Spring in the Spring Mini catalog.

Supplies
Stamp Sets- Just Thinking, A Little Bit of Spring
card stock – Old Olive, Real Red, Pacific Point, Whisper White, Bashful Blue, Daffodil Delight, Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake, Brushed Silver, Pumpkin Pie, Bright Patterns DSP
Ink – Jet Black Stazon, Old Olive, Pacific Point, Crumb Cake
Etc – Pop N Cuts base and Dress Form insert dies. Bird Punch, small oval punch, Itty Bitty Punch pack, Cloudy Day embossing folder, Scallop Edge punch, Window sheet, 1/4″ circle punch, linen thread, Delicate Lace tape, mini brads

Are you tired of these cards yet?   Hugs, Fran

Storing Dazzling Details

Just wanted to share with you how I store my opened bottles of Dazzling Details.  I keep them right in front of me on my stamp desk so I made this container using 2 of the inner rings from the Mini Glue Dots.  I glued them together and wrap card stock around the outside.

And the inside.  Then I used the 3/4″ circle punch to punch 3 holes in a triangle on a scrap of card stock.  Once the holes are punched, punch around this with the 2 1/5 ” circle punch.  (This is a good time to check that your bottles will fit with the spacing of the holes – ask me how I know!)  Glue this piece to the top –

Trim it to fit and gently sand the edge.  Then Decorate!  I used the Delicate Lace Tape and rhinestones on mine.

From my Stamp Room to Yours – Hugs, Fran

Blue Ribbon Dapper Dad

It’s a wild combo – Blue Ribbon, Dapper Dad, Best Dad Ever and the exclusive Stampin Up Pop N Cuts Base and Dress form insert!  On the front I used Dapper Dad.  The watch has a soda pop top that was smashed in my Big Shot and filled with the stamped dial and Crystal Effects.

Doesn’t look like the dress form insert, does it?  I made a layered piece with Blue Ribbon and the Simple Numbers Bigz die.  To make the banner piece on the ribbon, I stamped off with Beyond Plaid and then stamped the ribbon on top of it.

Stamp and layer your image and attach it to the form!

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Blue Ribbon, Dapper Dad, Best Dad Ever, Beyond Plaid
Card stock – Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke, Very Vanilla, Tangerine Tango, Chocolate Chip DSP (retired)
Ink – Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke
Etc – Pop N Cuts base and Dress Form insert, Simple Numbers Bigs die, Oval Framelits, soda pop top, Crystal Effects, 2 3/8 Scallop punch, 1 3/8 circle punch

A special card for a special man!  Hugs, Fran

Tuxedo Pop N Cut

My Pop N Cuts are hitting the town tonight!  Maybe it’s a black-tie charity event, a special anniversary or even prom – but it’s somewhere fancy!

Both dress forms fit across the shelf for the single dress form (did that make sense?)  I just left the middle leg on there so provide support.  It’s covered by the handsome couple.  You can find Mr. Pop N Cuts tuxedo here. Karen Burniston – who created this die – created this tuxedo pattern just for the dress form.

Stampin Write Markers – Basic Black, Real Red
Etc – SU Pop N Cuts base and Dress Form insert, Itty Bitty punch pack, Delicate Doilies Lace tape, Full Heart punch, Basic rhinestones, Basic pearls, black Sharpie Marker

Change the Look with Sentiments

At one of my stamp clubs we were talking about how to use a Valentine design into a card you can use for other occasions.  I told them I’d take up that challenge – so here you go ladies!  The same card with different looks simply by changing the sentiment  Above is Sassy Salutations – and below is Delightful Dozen.

The next three are sentiments found in Vintage Verses – a Sale a bration set!

I think I like the birthday sentiment from Delightful Dozen best.  How about you?  Hugs, Fran

Whale-abrate

Very “punny!”  Here’s a card using the Oh Whale stamp set from the Spring Mini and the matching Sizzlit.  I used the exclusive Stampin Up Pop N Cuts base – imagine that!  Look closely at the bottom left side of the card.  That’s what happens when you’re not careful measuring the inside elements

Here’s the inside of the invitation.  I do not have a two year old boy – this card had a mind of it’s own.  The waves are created by using the negative space from the scallop on the Tasteful Trim die.  The insert is the Pop N Cuts Party Phrase and matching Sizzlit die.

“Look who’s turning” (and “whale-abrate” on the front) was done in MDS2 – handy for making your own sentiments.  Even when they’re not so great!

“You’re Invited” is from the Make a Wish stamp set in the Spring Mini.

Stamp Sets – Oh Whale, Make a Wish
Card Stock – Whisper White, Pacific Point, Real Red, Sunshine and Sprinkles DSP
Ink – Basic Gray, Pacific Point
Etc – Big Shot dies – Tasteful Trim, Happy Whale Sizzlit, SU Card base, Bigz Simple Numbers, Party Phrase insert and die.  Owl Punch, 1″ and 1/2 circle punches, My Digital Studio 2, fishing line

Have a great day!  Hugs, Fran

Change it Up

I love the little Hearts a Flutter note card on page 12 of the Spring Mini – but wanted a full sized card.  So I took the basic idea, added a few layers (who doesn’t love layers!) and came up with this card.  The More Amore Designer Series paper has great patterns that can be stamped on – and these Builder Brads are so much fun to play with!

Supplies
Stamp Set – Oh Hello
card stock – Primrose Petals, Real Red, Pool Party, More Amore DSP
Ink – Basic Gray
Etc – Builder Brads, Bitty Butterfly punch, Hearts a Flutter Framelits

Hugs, Fran
