Sneak Peek What’s Your Type Christmas

A Christmas idea is May!  This is What’s Your Type (available June 2nd) I used the small circle images and embossed the solid in gold and the stripes in silver.  (Do this one color at a time)  I embossed a piece of Brushed Gold using Petite Pairs and silver embossing powder.  Rhinestones and sequins finish it off. The ornament is a 1 3/8″ circle with the little scalloped square punch in Brushed Silver on top.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – What’s Your Type?, Petite Pairs
Cardstock – Brushed Silver, Brushed Gold, Whisper White
Ink – Versamark
Etc – Sequins, Rhinestones, 1 3/8 circle punch, Itty Bitty punch pack

Today is suppose to be our warmest yet – making it an odd day to show a Christmas card!  You might want to consider other colors   Hugs, Fran

Sneak Peek Blended Bloom

This is a 2 in 1 sneak peek!  The stamp set is called Blended Blooms and it’s colored with the Blendabilities – SU’s new alcohol markers.  The sentiment is from an awesome new hostess set called Bloom with Hope.  (so I guess you’re really getting 3 in 1!)
The Blendabilities come in a color set of three – a light, true color and dark,  I’m working on a review/comparison on them and will post it soon.  The set used here is Daffodil Delight.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Blended Bloom, Bloom with Hope
Card stock – Basic Black, Whisper White, Polka Dot Parade (retiring)
Ink – Memento Tuxedo Black
Blendabilities – Daffodil Delight
Etc – Burlap ribbon, Neutral Candy dots, Baker’s Twine

Such a pretty flower!  The card size I used for this card is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2. Hope you’re enjoying your weekend – and that you win lots of money on the Derby   Hugs, Fran

2014-16 In Colors

Though there is nothing like holding the new In Colors in your own hands, hopefully this will give you an idea of what’s coming.  On the left  – Hello Honey.  The name kind of says it all!  On the right – Lost Lagoon.  This is a beautiful dark, seafoam color.

On the left – Blackberry Bliss.  This is another color that looks exactly like it sounds.  In the middle – Tangelo Twist.  It’s a bright, fun color!  On the right – Mossy Meadow.  It’s a deep, rich green.

So there you go – the new In Colors!  They really fill some nice spots in the current color line and I think you’ll love them.  I do!  Hugs, Fran

{heart} Work of Art

Another Work of Art (isn’t that fun?) card today – this one with a cut out heart.  I lined this card with Tangerine Tango DSP and cut the heart with my ecutter.  Now, I know you’re asking yourself “why didn’t she just use a framelit?”  All I can say is that very often I miss the obvious!  End of story!

Supplies
Stamp Set – Work of Art (available June 2)
Cardstock – Whisper White, Tangerine Tango DSP
Ink – Gumball Green, Tangerine Tango, Crushed Curry
Etc – Should have been a Heart Framelit! Rhinestone

I have new stuff coming today and will post the new In Colors later on so you can see them.  Hugs, Fran

What’s Your Type? Sneak Peek

My friend Anne won one of the Prize Patrols at the Catalog Premiere Monday night – and she dropped the set off today for me to play with for a few days!  The set is called What’s Your Type? and is a photopolymer set of 23 stamps.  All the stamps are geometrical-kind-of stamps and this is the first card I made with it.  It will be a really, really fun stamp set!

Supplies
Stamp Sets – What’s Your Type (available starting June 2), Yippee Skippee
Card stock – Coastal Cabana, Whisper White
Ink – Tangerine Tango, Coastal Cabana. Island Indigo
Etc – Retro Fresh washi tape, Candy Dots

This card took minutes to make! Hugs, Fran

Sneak Peek Work of Art

Here’s the first card I made with the stamp set we got at the Catalog Premiere – Work of Art.  It is a beautiful set – a cross between Gorgeous Grunge and Happy Watercolor – that you will NEED to have in your collection  I did this card on Shimmery White cardstock because it has more “umph” than Whisper White and I knew I’d be using an aquapainter on the card.  First I sprayed the card with an alcohol/Pool Party reinker mix.  I stamped the image in Crushed Curry, Pool Party, Island Indigo and Wild Wasabi.  Then I used an aquapainter to go around the edges of each color so they would run and bleed into each other.  The sentiment (isn’t it great?) is stamped in Chocolate Chip.

I added a heart and some sequins  – why yes, I AM on a sequin kick right now, thank you!

Supplies
Stamp Set – NEW – Work of Art (available June 2nd)
Cardstock – Shimmery White
Ink – Crushed Curry, Pool Party, Island Indigo and Wild Wasabi, Chocolate Chip, Silver Glimmer
Etc – sequins, aquapainter

If you’ve never tried Shimmery White cardstock – you need to!  It’s very substantial in weight and has a beautiful sparkle to it.  Hope you’ve enjoyed this Sneak Peek!  Hugs, Fran

Team Fun

This is the little notebook I made for my team members and friends that attended the Catalog Premiere last night.  It holds a junior legal pad so that they could take notes in the dark, dark movie theater – not!   Before I gave them out, I add some sequins to the cover too – the more bling, the better.  So even if we didn’t get to use them last night – we had so much fun!!

Here are a few of us a dinner before the big event! (That’s my head sticking out all the way on the back left side!)

We did get a brand new stamp set last night – so I get to play today!  Hope you are enjoying your day as much as I’m enjoying mine!  Hugs, Fran

Zentangle

This is a technique that was shown on Sudsol – a demo only group.  The idea is to take an open image stamp and sort of “doodle” in the image.  I used Flower Shop (because that’s what was shown!) and gave it a try.  I love the way it came out!

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Flower Shop, Stippled  Blossoms
Card stock – Pear Pizzazz, Basic Black, Whisper White, Strawberry Slush
Ink – Jet Black Stazon, Pear Pizzazz, Strawberry Slush
Etc – Basic Black SWM, Pear Chevron Ribbon, In Color Dahlia

Tonight is the Catalog Preview for those of us lucky enough to get to go!  It’s so hard to believe that a new catalog is right around the corner.  I moved my retired sets off my shelf this morning – sad, sad, sad!  But I’m looking forward to seeing what’s new!  Hugs, Fran

Welcome Home

This is Karen Burniston’s new House Pivot die – a house with a garden fence!  Too cute!  I used it to make a Welcome to your new house card.  My card is a bit misleading because I added more garden fence on the front.  The banner is made with the little flag punch and the Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper pack.

On the inside I added the tree from the Pop It Ups All Season Tree.  I found a quote about homes that I really like and sized it in My Digital Studio and then printed it – and use the Katie Label Pivot framelits to die cut and mat it.  The quote says –

Every house where love abides
and friendship is a guest,
is surely home and home sweet home
For there the heart can rest.
-Henry Van Dyke-

Isn’t that perfect?

Supplies
Card stock – Soft Sky, Bermuda Bay, Real Red, Whisper White, Fresh Print DSP, Soft Suede, Pear Pizzazz
Etc – House Pivot Pop It Ups, Katie Label, Tree for All Seasons, Flag punch, Candy Dots

Hope you’re enjoying your weekend!  Hugs, Fran
