A Watermelon Wonder splash of color across this sympathy card! The stamp set An Open Heart and the design was cased from a card I saw on Pinterest done by Lee Ann Pugliese. I changed up the colors, the stamp set and added an extra tulip. The tulips are made with the Bird Punch. Is it too bright for sympathy/concern? BTW – I’m loving the new heavier weight white card stock in the catalog! Hugs, Fran
Summer’s in full swing around here, blocks of crafting time seem to sail right out the door! Don’t get me wrong – I LOVE having family and friends around! I’m just not quite organized enough to get everything done! But here’s a 4 x 4 card made with the Traveler stamp set. It has some really awesome, old fashioned designs. They are perfect for masculine cards, scrapbooking and journals. This is a case from the catalog (page 82) with just a few changes to ramp it up a bit. The mice are still decorating! Today is day 2 of Karen Burniston’s Design Teams Christmas in July and I’m still playing with Jolly the Mouse. This card is a 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 card in Real Red with the little mice stacked up high to put the star on top of the tree. The tree is from the Christmas Trees Pop Stand. I just die cut and embossed 4 of them and stacked them off the side of the paper. The present is from the Evergreen Pivot card and was cut in Merry Moments Designer Series paper. The Santa hat is from Props 5 – lots of cute, cute, cute props!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year – a new collection of dies from Karen Burniston! This is a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2″ card. Big enough to hold all the wonderful Christmas joy inside 🙂 The sentiment is a retired SU stamp, Christmas Messages, and the paper is the new Merry Moments Designer Series paper. The swirl across the front is from the new Merry Christmas Pop Ups die.
And inside meet Jolly the Mouse! He and his friend are decorating the new Pop It Ups Christmas Trees Pop Stand! The tree is so much fun to put together! You can use it alone – or with any of the new characters as I’ve done here.
This is a better view of the mice. I snipped off their tails and tucked them behind them so they wouldn’t stick out of the card.

Summer birthdays! (Or 4th of July – but that was last weekend!) We have some very special summer birthdays and I always like to create decorations and party favors to help us celebrate. This is the French Fry box and All About Sugar stamp set. The little “party” banner is on a lollipop stick and the Fry box has a star die cut from the center with sequins between acetate. A little bling for the party.
The box was made with the new heavy Whisper White card stock and stamp in Real Red. Time to party! Hugs, Fran
I found these little jars and thought they’d make great party treats – filled with Skittles, mints or M&M’s. I stamped the image from Oh My Goodies 3 times – Cucumber Crush, Watermelon Wonder and Bermuda Bay – and die cut the Cucumber layer, punched the Watermelon layer and fussy cut the Bermuda layer. Then I assembled it all together, popping up the top Bermuda label piece. On the top, I wrapped the edge of the lid with Watermelon Wonder and a punched circle on top using Cherry on Top DSP. A button finishes it off.
The little pouch treat is made with just the side die from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits and more Cherry on Top DSP. A large star and some ribbon tie off the top and some washi tape adds some punch to the front. The Oh My Goodies sentiment is in Watermelon Wonder. Fun treats for special times! Hugs, Fran
I’ve been asked to join the Creative Circle Design Team – focusing on lovely 3-D creations and Stampin UP products. If you’ve just come from Barb’s post, you’re int he right place! This month’s template is a “murse” – or a man’s purse. You can get your own copy of the template at the end of this post. It’s an SVG file designed by Liz Holloway and I was able to cut it out on my Eclips. (or you can print and cut!) I chose the Go Wild and Cherry on Top Designer Series paper to make my card holder and cards.
For my closure, I staggered 3 front panels (Go Wild, Tip Top Taupe and Basic Black) and added a closure “button” using Awesomely Artistic.
I used Antique Brads on the handle to help it swing out of the way.
This card uses Flower Shop and Go Wild DSP on a Heavy White base. The leaves are the Bird punch.
This card features the Bold Butterfly die.

Happy 4th of July! Hope you have a wonderful and safe celebration! This is Karen Burniston’s Star Accordion Album decorated with some really cute peel-off stickers called Star Buddies from Elizabeth Craft Designs. The paper is Stampin Up’s retired Lullaby. To do the baby animal images, I put the stickers on adhesive sheets, poured glitter over them and colored on the glitter with Copic markers. Els has a great video on this technique here.
I used the Baby We’ve Grown set to finish off this card. And here it is open – with all the animals! Cute! Hugs, Fran
This idea was shown on stage this spring – water coloring on Shimmery White card stock. I stamped the paper using Best Thoughts (hostess set) and used and aqua painter and ink pads to color it in Daffodil Delight and Old Olive. The base is a notecard – such a sweet size – and it’s finished with a tiny strip of Black and White paper and a piece of Baker’s Twine. You could put together lots of these in different colors and have fun doing them at the same time 🙂 Hugs, Fran
Before I put away Floral Wings, I thought I’d try one using all the new In Colors and those cute little embellishments! I stamped each vase – starting from the middle and working to each side – added the stems and glued the flowers to the tops. The little pearls have just a drop of glue to make sure they stay put. The background embossing folder is Decorative Dots. Hugs, Fran
