Oh My Goodies

Oh My Goodies 02

I found these little jars and thought they’d make great party treats – filled with Skittles, mints or M&M’s.  I stamped the image from Oh My Goodies 3 times – Cucumber Crush, Watermelon Wonder and Bermuda Bay – and die cut the Cucumber layer, punched the Watermelon layer and fussy cut the Bermuda layer.  Then I assembled it all together, popping up the top Bermuda label piece.  On the top, I wrapped the edge of the lid with Watermelon Wonder and a punched circle on top using Cherry on Top DSP.  A button finishes it off.

The little pouch treat is made with just the side die from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits and more Cherry on Top DSP.  A large star and some ribbon tie off the top and some washi tape adds some punch to the front.  The Oh My Goodies sentiment is in Watermelon Wonder.   Fun treats for special times!  Hugs, Fran

Chilly and Hoppy

Chilly 03

Today is Challenge day for the Karen Burniston Design Team!  This month we were challenged to use the characters – Chilly, Hoppy and Poppy!  On this project I used Chilly to decorate a jar for gift giving.  There are 6 Chillies around this blue Bell jar and some sweet snowflakes from Karen’s Garden Bench die.  I added rhinestones so he could have some bling.

I used Stampin Up’s Oh My Goodies to make the label for the top which matches the  Deco Label Collection Framelits – that were designed by Karen!  Stamped in Real Red and then again in Basic Black, the center is punch with an oval punch and popped up.  I tied the rim with some Real Red cotton ribbon.  Then I filled the jar with peppermints!

Hoppy 03

Next I made a card using Stampin Up’s new In Colors and Flowerpot Designer Series paper. Again I used Oh My Goodies and the Deco Label Collection for the front. The edges of the card are done using two of Karen’s Agatha edges.

And inside is Hoppy on Karen’s Lorna Label PopUp.  He’s sitting by his pond with a Stampin’ Up’s Just Sayin die cut with the Chalk Talk dies.  Hoppy comes with his own lily pad and flies!  I attached the flies to some fishing line and mounted them between the lily pads.

The flower is from Stampin Up’s Flower Patch (that also has a matching Framelit set.)  Hoppy is done in Garden Green and Pear Pizzazz.  His “pond” is in Lost Lagoon.  Hope you are enjoying meeting the characters!  Check out the rest of the gang by visiting Karen’s Facebook page and seeing what the rest of the team has created!  And come back tomorrow to see what’s going on with Poppy!  Hugs, Fran

Oh My Goodies

Oh My Goodies 01

This card features the new  Striped Scallop Framelit and the really cute Oh My Goodies stamp set.  The framelit is very easy to use but you need to put wax paper between your die and the card stock.  Then you can gently pull it away.  (If you don’t use the was paper it will still come apart – just not as easily!)  I embossed the sentiment with Basic Black embossing powder and die cut it with the Modern Deco Framelits.  The strip down the side is the Sweet Sadie washi tape over some Basic Black card stock.  Use your bone folder to burnish it down.  Add some Glimmer paper stars and you’re ready to go!

Supplies

Stamp set – Oh My Goodies

Cardstock – Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Silver Glimmer paper

Ink – Versamark

Etc – Striped Scallop framelit, Modern Deco Framelit, star punch, Sweet Sadie washi tape, Black embossing powder

I am in the process of having my blog moved (by Angel Elmer!) from one platform to another so if things seem a bit wonky, this is why.  (Not to mention, I’m learning a new system!)  Hugs, Fran
