You Make Me Happy Pivot

This must be my favorite suite of products in the mini catalog – Happy Watercolor and Designer Series paper that matches.  Here I used Karen Burniston’s Katie Label Pivot Pop It Up to make a card using the Watercolor Wonder DSP to show off the sentiment.

The paper has such pretty designs!  A pivot card is a nice way to show them off.  And I love polka dots so the Distressed Dots embossing folder was perfect here. (and it’s a Saleabration item!)

I even used it on the Pansy Punch!

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Happy Watercolor, Lots of Thanks
Card stock – Whisper White, Island Indigo, Gumball Green, Watercolor Wonder DSP
Stampin Write Markers – Gumball Green, Island Indigo
Etc – Katie Label Pivot Framelit, Pansy Punch, Candy Dots, Distressed Dots embossing folder (SA

This DSP is so pretty.  It might be my favorite piece in the package!  Hugs, Fran

Giggle Greetings

Funny, funny – this stamp set matches it’s name – Giggle Greetings.  Here is a very simple card to show off the cute images.  The “ribbon” behind the cat is really two1 1/4 ” square punches matted with 1 3/8 square punches.
I masked off the words on the bottom of this stamp with tape and stamped them on the inside.
Supplies
Stamp Set – Giggle Greetings
Card stock – Smokey Slate, Basic Black, Whisper White, Sweet Sorbet
In – Jet Black Stazon
Etc – Circle Framelits, Square punches
This would be an easy set to make as a set of cards.  Hugs, Fran

Double High Lovely

Here’s something fun!  Karen Burniston did a video to make her Katie Label Pivot die twice as big and it’s a great way to show off beautiful DSP and fun stamps.  I used the Eastern Elegance Designer Series paper and the SAB set You’re Lovely to make this 5 x 7 card.

Here it is open and it’s amazingly pretty sturdy!  (Though the photograph is kind of wonky)

I added some Dazzling Detail to the flowers for just a touch of sparkle.

Supplies
Stamp Set – You’re Lovely
Card Stock – Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry, Whisper White, Eastern Elegance
Ink – Basic Gray
Stampin Write Markers – Crushed Curry, Pear Pizzazz
Etc – Pop It Up Katie Label die, Agatha Edges Framelit, Deco Label Framelit, Regal buttons, Epic Day Washi Tape, Baker’s twine

I hope you’ll try it and share what you make!  Hugs, Fran

The Gift of Butterflies

Happy Valentine Day!  And the final (for now) butterfly design is this one.  Again I used Gorgeous Grunge – and to vary the width of the lines, I masked off sections of the card using Post It notes.  This way I could fit all 7 colors on there.  What did we do before Post it notes?  I love this sentiment from Gifts of Kindness.

Supplies
Stamp Set -Gifts of Kindness, Gorgeous Grunge
Card Stock – Whisper White, Real Red, Tangerine Tango, Delightful Daffodil, Wisteria Wonder, Bermuda Bay, Pear Pizzazz, Melon Mambo
Ink -Real Red, Tangerine Tango, Delightful Daffodil, Wisteria Wonder, Bermuda Bay, Pear Pizzazz, Melon Mambo
Etc – Beautiful Wings Embosslit

It has been so refreshing to work with these colors – especially since all this snow is just white!  Hugs, Fran

Butterfly Grunge

Gorgeous Grunge 01

More butterflies!  Ok – I saw something like this done in grays (very pretty) but I still had a rainbow of butterflies on my workspace.  So rainbow it is.

Butterfly Heart

Inspired by Pinterest – a heart full of butterflies.  To make this card, I used the Heart Framelit – but instead of die cutting, I traced the heart shape onto my card stock very lightly.  Then I die cut lots of butterflies using the Beautiful Wings Embosslit and glued them in the heart keeping them all inside the line.  The Embosslits are great because they cut and emboss in one step.  Once they are placed just erase the line.  I even gave my sentiment a rainbow feel!

Supplies
Stamp Set – Love You More
Card Stock – Whisper White, Real Red, Tangerine Tango, Delightful Daffodil, Wisteria Wonder, Bermuda Bay, Pear Pizzazz, Melon Mambo
Ink – Jet Black Stazon
Etc – Heart Framelit, Beautiful Wings Embosslit

Think of all the shapes you could do with this idea!  I have lots of butterflies left over – so you might have to put up with butterflies for a few days.  Hugs, Fran

Pop Love

This is the Pop It Up Hearts Pivot die paired with Follow My heart.  I had some left over pieces from this card and just couldn’t resist making a pivot card for someone special.  Doesn’t the Red Glimmer paper look lovely?  And the keyhole is the Silver Foil paper.

Here it is open – with a Silver Foil key hanging from some Baker’s Twine.

The Red Glimmer frame was done by cutting with two Framelits at the same time.  It makes such a nice, tiny frame!

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Follow My Heart, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Hardwood
Card stock – Pink Pirouette, Red Glimmer, Basic Gray Smokey Slate, Whisper White, Subtles Paper pack
Ink – Basic Gray
Stampin Write Markers – Real Red, Basic Gray
Etc – Heart Pivot, Word Window punch, Baker’s Twine

I hope you’re enjoying the Pivot cards!  Hugs, Fran

Beautiful Butterflies

More Pop It Up Butterfly Pivot meeting Venetian Romance Designer Series paper!  That just go together   The base of this card is Karen Burniston’s Square Pop N Cuts base with edge and then I used her new Butterfly Pivot for the insert.  The sentiment is from Four You, stamped in Soft Suede.  The accents on the butterfly are Crisp Cantaloupe and Soft Suede.

The butterfly on the front pivots to the inside!  All the beautiful accents, little butterflies and flowers are included with the pivot – just add Venetian Romance DSP.

Stamp Set – Four You
Card stock – Crisp Cantaloupe, Soft Suede, Venetian Romance DSP
Ink – Soft Sues
Etc – Pop It Butterfly Pivot, Square Base and edge

Here it is open.  You can see all the “seasons” together.

Oval Accordion 01 open

I started with winter (since that is where
we are at the moment!)  The base of the entire card is Soft Sky and the
Oval Dots Frame edge is Whisper White.  I used a gel pen to make the
snow on the branches.

Oval Accordion 01 page 1

Spring uses Pistachio Pudding and Garden Green leaves with Pink Pirouette DSP flowers and the In Color paper pack for the frame.

Oval Accordion 01 page 2
Summer has a Garden Green Flourish Edge.  The apples are Real Red.  There two pieces that can be used as clouds or the leaves on the tree – that I used for the tree.
Oval Accordion 01 page 3

Fall brings us to Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze leaves.  The framed area from Eastern Elegance DSP.  All the tress are Chocolate Chip.

It was so much fun to create these little scenes! Thank You for all you do all year long!  Hugs, Fran

Watercolor Hearts

Oh my bleeding heart!  I saw this idea on Pinterest – but I did the “foundation” of it in a very different way and got a VERY different look.  The one I saw used watercolors on smooth paper.  I used reinker on watercolor paper.  My card turned out much darker (much, much darker!)  I punched the hearts out of watercolor paper and glued them down.  After dried I used reinkers in the the lids of the stamp pads and an aquapainter to start the ink flowing.  The sequins are colored with Copic markers – which worked very well.

Supplies
Stamp Set – Perfect Pennants
Card stock – Pink Pirouette, Basic Black, watercolor paper
Ink – Pink Pirouette, Real Red, Melon Mambo
Etc – Aquapainter, sequins, makers, Envelope Punch board (to round the corners), Heart Framelits, Large Pearl

Try it and let me know how it works for you!  Hugs, Fran
