Thoughts of You

Sometimes you need a special card so I used Elements of Style.  I was inspired by Keisha’s style at A Bit East Coast.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Elements of Style, Loving Thoughts, En Francais
card stock – Whisper White, Vellum card stock
Ink – Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Early Espresso
Etc – Delicate Design folder, Blossom Party die , rhinestones, Early Espresso ribbon

Ugh – my computer’s being weird.  Maybe it needs a sympathy card too!  Hugs, Fran

Summer Sewing

Won’t I look festive this summer?  The Summer Smooches fabric is just perfect for this apron – bright and happy.  The pinned on flower is made with the Blossom Party Big Shot die and a Bright Button with a brad in the center.  Matches the flowers in the fabric.  Because the fabric comes in extra large fat quarters, you will need 2 packages to piece together the apron front.  I seamed it together and put the top ruffle over the seam.  You can get 2 aprons from the 2 packages – and have lots of scraps left over to make other things.  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Big Shot Metal

At our team meeting this weekend we made garden stakes with metal decorations made with the Big Shot.  Everyone made what they wanted – but we agreed that Ann’s was the most creative.

Here’s one I did for the graduates this year –

And here’s what I found while cleaning my kitchen!  I’m not kidding!  It’s April and I just noticed that this is still hanging there!

Here it is – the Retiring Stamp Sets! Accessories and Decor Elements will be posted April 25th. Enjoy! Hugs, Fran

Poinsettias

Here’s one more card made to tie on to a package.  The poinsettia is made with the Blossom Party Big Shot die.  I scored the middle of each bloom, snipped on side to the center and slightly overlapped it to give it some lift.  Hand Penned Holidays finishes it off.

Supplies
Stamp Set – Hand Penned Holidays
card stock – Real Red, Whisper White, Garden Green
Ink – Real Red
Etc – Scallop border punch, Blossom Party Big Shot die, So Saffron brad, Real Red satin ribbon

I hope all your Christmas plans are coming together!  Tomorrow is my mother’s birthday and I host the family party.  I cooked like crazy yesterday so that tomorrow won’t be too overwhelming.  (Ended up at the grocery store twice!)  This party officially kicks off our holiday fun!  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Poinsettia Candle

I found some nice – but plain – candle holders on sale for a dollar each a few years ago and tucked them away.  (I believe this is called “hoarding!”)  In a effort to “use things up” I pulled them out and found that the candles match the Berry Bouquet Designer Series paper!  So this is what I did with them –

I used Crystal Effects to glue the paper down – and then Mod Podged over it when it was dry.

(The candles look odd because I didn’t unwrap them!)  Then I used the Blossom Party die to make poinsettias –

I think I might have to add some glitter – hhhmmmmm – just a thought!  It’s amazing how much I want to change when I’m posting projects.  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran
