Spiral Rose Bouquet

I made these Spiral Rose Dum-Dum lollipop roses for another project and had lots of them left over just sitting on my desk.  So…..I made this!  The base is a little, plastic Easter basket – 50 cents at the grocery store – with a 3″ Styrofoam ball pushed inside.  I pushed the sticks into the ball and it covered almost all of the Styrofoam.  For the few spots that were showing, I punched some tiny flowers in Wild Wasabi and used corsage pins to stick them in the spaces.

I decided to add a little butterfly for some “bling!”  I used a piece of wire and glued it between 2 butterflies punched out of Silver Glimmer paper.  After it dried, I added two small butterflies and some rhinestones colored with a Black Copic.

To make the roses, die cut a Spiral Rose die and punch a hole in the tab at the center that is large enough to push your stick through.  Then use your bone folder to curl the Sprial Rose.  Once it curls, you might want to roll it up with your fingers to give it more shape.  You don’t need to glue it – just push your Dum-Dum stick through the center and add a green flower punch to the bottom to look like leaves.

Supplies
Cardstock – Pink Pirouette, Real Red, Wild Wasabi, Silver Glimmer paper
Etc – Spiral Rose die, Flower punch, rhinestones, small basket, Styrofoam ball, wire

Then you have a sweet gift for a friend – or a cute decoration for yourself.  Hugs, Fran

I Am Me

I couldn’t resist making up this SVG kit from the I Am Me Designer Series paper!  The kit is from SVGcuts.com and is called Instant Memories and I used my Sizzix Eclips to cut it out.  It’s fairly large and the top comes off to make a gift box.

Supplies
Stamp Set – Banner Greetings
Cardstock  – Basic Gray, Pool Party, Real Red, Calypso Coral, I Am Me DSP
Ink – Real Red

Just something fun to show you!  Hugs Fran

Venetian Butterflies

Sometimes the paper is so pretty that it stands on it’s own.  That’s how I feel about Venetian Romance (130144.)  Paired with Karen Burniston’s Pop It Up Pivot Butterfly insert – and it’s beautiful.

I simply adhered to pieces of Designer Series paper together and used the Butterfly Pivot to show the beautiful designs. The die comes with all the extra pieces so I was die cutting scraps all over the place!  I used the Agatha Edges die to cut the one side of the card.

Supplies
Stamp Set – Gift of Kindness
Card stock – Very Vanilla, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, Venetian Romance DSP
Ink – Soft Suede
Etc – Pop It Up Butterfly Pivot and Agatha Edges Thinlit, Word Window punch, Delicate Lace Tape

It’s also nice to have thinking of you/sympathy cards on hand instead of trying to make them in the moment.  Hummmm, guess I’ll make a few more.  Hugs, Fran

Let it Snow Banner

Cute banner – but I really don’t want any snow!  I could go the entire winter without it   But this is a Create a Banner kit banner and I have had a great time making these. My “tip” is to spray the back of the stencils lightly with spray adhesive and use a sponge dauber to apply the ink.   To make the “Let it” stencil, I used My Digital Studio and my Eclips.  I simply imported the Build a Banner Simply Created Kit alphabet letters into ECAL and sized them to fit inside the circle (which is 3 1/2 inches, if you’re trying itself!)

Supplies
Build a Banner Simply Created Kit
Christmas Banner Simply Created Accessory Kit
Ink – Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, Island Indigo
My Digital Studio – Build a Banner Simply Created Kit alphabet
Sponge daubers

I’d love to give you the number for the alphabet, but Safari isn’t playing nicely with me this morning.  If I find it later, I’ll add the info!  Hugs, Fran

Calling Santa

No stamping – but a lot of fun   This little box is an SVG file called “Call Me.”  I turned it into a Santa Hotline – everyone needs one of those, don’t they?  I used the Season of Style Designer Series paper and added some touches of Silver Glimmer paper.

Cute – you can fill it with chocolate in case Santa is busy and you are put on hold!

The words are hard to read.  I will have to try a different font next time.  But that’s the idea!  Hugs, Fran

Giving Gifts

Have you seen the Extra Large gift boxes in the Holiday mini?  They are really big – 6 x 6″!  And even though I had read the dimensions in the catalog, I was still impressed with the size.  I took one and wheeled Music Note (120327) over the entire box and made a paper bow with the new Gift Bow die (129977) from the Holiday mini.  I added a tag using Love & Joy.  I stamped it once in Old Olive and then again in Cherry Cobbler and cut out the “&” and popped it up.

My youngest went back to school this weekend.  We packed her up in the middle of a thunderstorm – unloaded in 90 degree weather and then topped it off with more storms – whew!  But she’s there, safe and sound – it was Mom that needed a nap!  Hugs, Fran

Bewitched Pop N Cuts

I need a card to go with my Halloween suite of projects – don’t you agree?  I had to use my exclusive SU Pop N Cuts base and Dress Form insert because it’s my favorite!  I love the closure on the base – and I love how it shows just a peek of the paper inside.  This paper from Witches’ Brew is the easiest paper in the world to create a card.  I didn’t have to do a thing!  The design on the paper made a perfect base for what I had in mind.

I just punched out this “warning” and adhered it to the funny witches’ menu style paper, added a strip of Pumpkin Pie card stock and that was that.

So here she is – making potions!  She has her spell book, hat, candle, wand, broom and cauldron.  She is ready to cast some spells!

I added googlie eyes across the top the card.  There are weird little dots on the paper – I just filled them with eyes.  I also added some glitter stars so she’d have a bit more sparkle.  One of the papers in Witches’ Brew looks like book paper so it made a perfect spell book.  The witches hat has an Orange Stampin Glitter band.

To make her dress, I cut off the top of a Dress Form Framelit with the Full Heart punch and added the ears from the Owl Builder to the shoulders.  Then I covered the entire piece with Two Way glue and Black Stampin Glitter.  I had one star left so I adorned her top with that. Her necklace is pearls colored with a Sharpie Marker.  For the skirt, I traced the skirt and made it longer then free-hand cut the edge.  The cauldron is a 1 1/2″ circle punch cut straight across the top.  The feet on the cauldron are another Dress Form Framelit bottom – just snipped to fit behind the cauldron.

Then I embossed across the top using the Delicate Design embossing folder.  I covered it with Dazzling Details.  The foam in the cauldron is vellum card stock brayered in Pear Pizazz and accented with pearls and more Dazzling Details.

Supplies
Card Stock – Witches’ Brew DSP, Basic Black, Pear Pizzazz, Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Crushed Curry, Vellum card stock, Pumpkin Pie
Ink – White Craft, Pear Pizzazz, Crushed Curry
Etc – SU exclusive Pop N Cuts base die and Dress Form insert and Framelit, 1 3/4″ Circle punch, pearls, linen thread, googlie eyes, Dazzling Details, Orange and Black Stampin Glitter, Full Heart punch

I love creating things for Halloween because there are no rules and I love my Pop N Cuts die   Hugs, Fran

Zoo Babies

This is a re-do of one of the cards we made at the Pop N Cuts class I took.  I used the new set Zoo Babies to make this one.  (It’s the robot card in this post)

All the animals are out to greet you when you open the card.

The monkeys are hanging on the fishing line – didn’t turn out exactly as I had in mind, but it works.  The elephant’s ear is popped up with Dimensionals.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Zoo Babies, Sassy Salutaions
card stock – So Saffron, Whisper White, I Am Me Designer Series paper, Real Red
Ink – Wild Wasabi, Jet Black Stazon, Real Red, smoky Slate, Chocolate Chip
Etc – SU Pop N Cuts base, Sizzix, Funky Label insert and Framelits, Sizzix Flagpole, Movers and Shapers star, fishing line, Pennant Punch, Crystal Effects, Bird Punch, Hexagon embossing folder, Real Red taffeta ribbon

It’s a beautiful morning here!  The humidity has been so high that it’s hard to be outside.  Today is sunny and cooler – time to play!  Hugs, Fran

Seeing Stars

This is another card we made in class this weekend.  It’s a cascading star card and was one of my favorites.

It uses the Star insert – and it’s a blast to open!

I turned it into a 4th of July card using Karen Burniston’s free Uncle Sam template for the Dress Form Framelit.  (not mention lots of Glimmer paper!)

Supplies
Stamp Set – Fabulous Phrases
card stock – Real Red, Night of Navy, Whisper White, Subtles paper pack, Silver and Red Glimmer papers
Ink – Jet Black Stazon
Etc – SU Pop N Cut base, Banner Framelits, Sizzix Star insert, MDS 2

I don’t send many (any) 4th of July cards – but I do have a niece at camp that might think this is fun.  Any mail is fun at camp!  Hugs, Fran

Around the World

I was so excited to open this package of Designer Series paper!  It’s called I Am Me and has some really nice color combinations.  And the stamp set Around the World  is the perfect match.  I started with the exclusive Stampin Up Pop N Cuts base and added some great travel images to the front.

The gray camera has a pop up using the circle in the Itty Bitty Shapes pack and the yellow camera has a Neutral Candy dot.
The little flags on the side are part of the Sizzix Suitcase die stamped with just the ends of the arrows in the Around the World set.

When you open it – you get a suitcase pop up!  This Sizzix Suitcase insert and matching die work perfectly in the Stampin Up Pop N Cuts base – and it works perfectly with the stamp set too!

This sentiment was made in My Digital Studio and recolored to match.  (Sent with Love digital kit)

Isn’t the suitcase cute?  I used some pearls that I’d already colored with a Sharpie marker for the strap and Candy dots on the corner pieces.

Then I added the “Away we go” stamp to the front.

The little “celebrate” is from Fabulous Phrases.  Some Epic Day washi tape adds a pop of color.

Stamp Sets – Around the World, Fabulous Phrases
card stock – I am Me DSP, Real Red, So Saffron, Pool Party, Tangerine Tango, Basic Gray, Whisper White, Basic Black
Ink – Real Red, So Saffron, Pool Party, Tangerine Tango, Basic Gray, Jet Black Stazon
Etc – exclusive SU Pop N Cuts base die, Sizzix Suitcase insert and matching die, Scallop Edge punch, Washi tape, Subtles and Neutrals Candy dots, pearls, 1 1/4 scallop punch, 1/4″ circle punch, My Digital Studio

Now to pack this cute suitcase with stamping supplies and go somewhere   Hugs, Fran
