Quatrefancy Table Gifts

A friend is having a bridal shower and I am helping her with a few things.  These are the table gifts she has decided to use.  They are the Quatrefancy Specialty paper window sheets die cut with the (now retired) Pillow die.  These window sheets die cuts beautifully! (we used 2 plates instead of the crease pad)

The pillows are sealed with the sticker strips from the Tag a Bag Accessory Kit and decorated with both butterfly punches.  The rhinestones are self adhesive but we ended up using some glue so that it was easier to bend the butterfly wings to give them some lift.

So grab those windows sheets and start die cutting!  Hugs, Fran

Lovely Door

Flowered wreath and a Pool Party – perfect for a bride.  I used the Door Opening and Wreath die to create a wedding card.  The “siding” on my house is created with the Stripe embossing folder and the wreath is the Flower Trim from the mini catalog that has been lightly inked with Pink Pirouette.

Inside is Love & Laughter in Not Quite Navy.

This is just a variation of the same card – with a Pool Party base.

I couldn’t decide which way I like the door opening so I tried it both ways.  The cake is stamped inside in Pool Party.

Then I did a Big Shot Fancy Favor box with a door on front  The Floral District Designer Series paper makes it bright and happy.  Perfect for a little gift

I used My Digital Studio to create the inside.

The “roof” is the opening for the box.  Here you can see how I made the wreath 3 layers to add some depth.

I cut out some flowers from the paper and added 2 half circle “thingies” (technical term) that go in a vase to hold flowers.  Surly there is a better word – but I don’t know what it is!

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Love & Laughter
Card stock – Pool Party, Whisper White, Melon Mambo, Pink Pirouette, Floral District DSP
Ink – Pool Party, Not Quite Navy, Melon Mambo, Pink Pirouette
Etc –  Fancy Favor Box, Striped embossing folder, Flower Trim, Door Opening and Wreath die, Scallop Edge punch, tangerine and Pink Pirouette ribbons

Wishing you Love & Laughter today!  Hugs, Fran

Goodbye Letter It

I got a letter from my youngest daughters sorority asking parents to send a box of surprises our students for exam week.  I added this little note pad holder made from a stamp set case.  (And this is the only picture I snapped in my haste to get it finished and out the door!)  The background paper is Tea for Two – but from the MDS version.  I was surprised to discover that in MDS there is a pattern that has different colors!   So I just printed it out and used it.  The letters from Letter It fit perfectly across the top.  I am so sad to see them on the retired list.  They have been my “go to” alphabet for several years.  (Maybe that’s why they are on the retired list?)

So I cut the paper to fit the cover of the case – die cut the cute owl again – added the letters and the front was finished.  The inside holders a junior legal pad and an RSVP pen with a little left over paper rolled up inside.  Valerie had left me comment saying there might be a few more “sisters” wanting the magnet board that matches this – she was right!

Supplies
Stamp Set – Letter It
card stock – Whisper White, Tea for Two MDS version
Ink – So Saffron, Bashful Blue
Etc – 1/4 circle punch, Owl die, Clear Stamp Case

It’s another rainy day here – sigh.  At least it’s a good day to stay inside and stamp   Hugs, Fran

Uncle Sam Pop N Cuts

Let’s celebrate the 4th of July with a Pop N Cuts card!  Karen Burniston has put a really cute template on her blog made to fit the exclusive SU Dress Form Pop Up – and he’s soooo cute!  I used the Stampin Up base die to make the front – along with the Make a Wish stamp set and Glimmer Paper for some star dies.

And here he is – inviting everyone to celebrate with him   The free template makes is easy to put him together.

Since I was so shamelessly casing Karen’s card – I changed the background and the placement of Uncle Sam’s hat.

I used a piece of window sheet to pop up the stars behind him.  I just cut some small slits in the fold of the table to create another level to pop up.  The blue stars are really silver stars colored with Night of Navy reinker and a sponge dauber.

Supplies
Stamp Set – Make a Wish
card stock – Whisper White, Brights, Subtles and Neutrals paper packs, Silver and Red Glimmer papers
Ink – Night of Navy, Real Red
Etc – SU Pop N Cuts base and Dress Form insert, window sheet, Star die or punches. Uncle Sam template

So there you go – Uncle Sam wants YOU to create a Pop N Cut card!  Hugs, Fran

Pretty Packaging

This is another double high Fancy Favor box decorated with the Dress Up Framelit.  I made this one to go with the fun placecard holder.  For this favor box I used some Silver Glimmer paper for the package – everything looks better with bling – and made the balloons from vellum card stock.  Just use your brayer to color it.  Hint – then adhere it color side down to keep it from scratching.

Here’s the finished sest.

Supplies
Card stock – Pink Pirouette, Pink Pirouette DSP, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer paper, vellum card stock
Etc – Fancy Favor die, Dress Up Framelits, Scallop Circle die, Pink Pirouette taffeta ribbon, Lacy Brocade embossing folder, Tasteful Trim die, Silver thread, pearl

Have a wonderful weekend – Hugs, Fran

Ballerina Party Girl

I redid some Dress Form Ballerina Party Girl stands as place holders for birthday parties.  They are very fun to do – a bit addicting to be honest

I managed to find some large spools, painted them and added Designer Series Paper.  (no need to add weights to these!)

Using a Sizzix Fancy Frame and the You Rule set from the Spring Mini – I made the birthday girl a special one.  (Aren’t all birthday girls princesses?)

On the dress form I stamped the floral image in Established Elegance and colored it with Stampin Write Markers.  Then I added two roses from the Artisan Kit.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – You Rule, Established Elegance
Card stock – Crumb Cake, Pink Pirouette DSP, Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Silver Glimmer paper
Ink – Early Espresso, Crumb Cake
Etc – Pink Piroutte SWM, Tulle, Artisan Kit, spool, skewer

Just a little note – I have been using about 20 pieces of tulle to get my skirts really fluffy.  The link to video for the skirt is here.

Hugs, Fran

Paper Trees

I am having fun with all the tutorials over at UStamp with Dawn and Friends.  This topiary was designed by Melissa Banbury – altered to fit my needs.  Isn’t it fun?

I used Rose Red flowers to brighten up a corner of my breakfast area.  The coolest thing about a Big Shot is that the steel ruled dies can cut multiple sheets of cardstock at once.  That made this topiary much faster to do.

It’s a work of love – but totally worth it!  (Even my son was impressed!)  Hugs, Fran

Party Girl and Free Shipping

Here’s my other project for UStamp with Dawn and Friends Big Shot Rounds Up.  It’s a party gift bag and invitation featuring the Dress Up Framelits.  Wouldn’t this be a fun party theme for a little (or big) girl?  The colors are Rose Red, Baja Breeze and River Rock.

Don’t forget that today is the LAST DAY for FREE SHIPPING!  Any size order – so it’s time to stock up!  Hugs, Fran

Play Ball

This was inspired by my friend who is going to a baseball game this week – and hoping for some decent weather.  She’s taking her brother and I thought a fun card to present the tickets would fit the bill.

I used Great Sport – and cased the front of my soccer card!

I love the lace tape in the spring mini!  It finishes the edges so nicely (and quickly!)

I just drew the lines for the baseball top – not sure that’s exactly what one looks like, but you get the idea!

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Great Sport, That’s the Ticket, A Word for You
Card stock – Real Red, Marina Mist, Polka Dot DSP, Whisper White, Sahara Sand
Ink – Real Red, Marina Mist
Etc – Pop N Cuts Base die and Dress Form insert, Dress Up Framelits, Delicate Lace Tape, Ticket Punch, 1 1/4 circle punch, 2 1/2 circle punch, Dazzling Details, 1/4 circle punch, Striped embossing folder

Hugs, Fran

Happy Easter

The Easter Bunny got up early to set the table for brunch   These little bunny boxes are sitting at everyone’s place – don’t they look cute?  The tutorial came from UStamp with Dawn and Friends Big Shor Roundup and were designed by Teresa Giordano and are made with the Petite Purse die and lots of punches.  Very clever!  Thanks, Teresa – they add the perfect touch to my table today!.  I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter!  Hugs, Fran
