Something Pretty

Just going through some of the stuff in my craft room and I came across these stickers from Elizabeth Crafts and thought I’d better use them.  I made the card with Karen Burniston’s Spiral Pull card die and used a retired SU stencil for the background.  I added the dots with a white gel pen and white embossed the sentiment – Love & Affection – on to some black card stock.

Here’s the inside…………and another card!

Same idea – just Calypso Coral for the card stock.

You should be warned that I found a lot of these stickers!  You might see some more designs soon!  Hugs, Fran

Karen Burniston November Design Team Challenge Day 1

This month’s challenge was to use one of Karen’s videos as the start of our cards!  I chose Karen’s Pop It Ups Spiral Pull Card video for this one.

Spiral Pull Card 03

Here is Jolly the Mouse waiting for Christmas on the front of a Spiral Pull Card and a clock using the Clock and Gears die.  The paper is Stampin Up’s Season of Cheer Designer Series paper. The card size is 6 x 8.

When you open the card, candy canes spiral out!  The canes are “double sided” so it looks nice on both sides.

Even though Jolly is on both sides, he’s got a candy cane on the front and…..

a present on the other side.  Doesn’t he look excited!  Make sure you check out the other ideas from the team on Karen’s Facebook page.

Winter Blessings

Spiral Pull Card 02

Today starts the January Challenges for the Karen Burniston Design Team!  This month’s challenge was to create a card using 3 or more Pop It Ups dies.  For my first card I used the Spiral Circle Pull Card  – with the Paris Edges and an EDC Snowflake die.

On the inside I used some more snowflakes from All Seasons Tree.  The sentiment is Stamping Up’s Blessed By God and the the little girl on the front is Winter Fairy by Sylvia Zet colored with Copics.  I love challenges like this!  Hugs, Fran

Poppy Spiral Birthday

Really Good Greetings 04

My oldest daughter had a special birthday yesterday – 30!  This is the card I made her using Karen Burniston’s Spiral Pull Card die, Poppy the Owl character die and lots of star stamps.  The sentiment on the front is from Pictogram Punches and Poppy’s little camera is from Project Life Point and Click.  I added Crystal Effects to the lens.

Pull cards are so much fun to make and receive!  I used the spiral included with the die and added lots of stars!  To make Poppy on both sides, I simply copied an idea from Karen Burniston and made two, glued back to back.  The inside sentiment is from Really Good Greetings – which is a perfect name for this set.

Beach House Washi tape is across the bottom of the card.  We celebrate 4 birthdays in December so I better get busy!  Hugs, Fran

Pictogram Punches 03

I needed a birthday card so I decided to try out one of Karen Burniston’s videos on making a Spiral Pull Card with a character. I chose to put Poppy the Owl on the front and used the very fun Flashback Designer Series Paper with Pictogram Punches for the sentiment.
