Poppy Spiral Birthday

Really Good Greetings 04

My oldest daughter had a special birthday yesterday – 30!  This is the card I made her using Karen Burniston’s Spiral Pull Card die, Poppy the Owl character die and lots of star stamps.  The sentiment on the front is from Pictogram Punches and Poppy’s little camera is from Project Life Point and Click.  I added Crystal Effects to the lens.

Pull cards are so much fun to make and receive!  I used the spiral included with the die and added lots of stars!  To make Poppy on both sides, I simply copied an idea from Karen Burniston and made two, glued back to back.  The inside sentiment is from Really Good Greetings – which is a perfect name for this set.

Beach House Washi tape is across the bottom of the card.  We celebrate 4 birthdays in December so I better get busy!  Hugs, Fran

Fly Away

There are lots of things to celebrate at this time of year!  The Karen Burniston Designer Challenge Team was challenged this month to use the word “fly” as their inspiration.  I started with the inspirational sentiment from Really Good Greetings – thinking “graduation” – and did this card.

I paper pieced a hot air balloon and added it to the Lucy Label insert.  I love this insert because you can use it for anything!  The “bravo” is from  A Dozen Thoughts.  The Lace tape is retiring – hurry!  Then I added a little line of flags to help celebrate the big event.  Here’s a look at the “mechanics” of the card –

Supplies
Stamp Sets – A Dozen Thoughts, Really Good Greetings
Cardstock – Island Indigo, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White, Watercolor Wonder DSP
Ink – Island Indigo, Tangerine Tango
Etc – Lucy Label die, 1 3/4″ circle punch, Candy Dots, Doily tape, flag punch

Celebrating is a lot of fun!  Hugs, Fran

Bug Me

Still wishing for spring!  This Circle Label Framelit card features the cute, cute butterfly and the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series paper.  There are only 10 days left to grab this DSP!  I found a new “pairing” of sentiments that I really like.  The sentiment on the front is from Too Kind and the inside is from Really Good Greetings.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Bug Me, Too Kind, Really Good Greetings
Cardstock – Sahara Sand, Crisp Cantaloupe, Basic Black, Whisper White, Sweet Sorbet Dsp
Ink – Crisp Cantaloupe, Basic Black
Etc – Circle Label Framelit, Tasteful Trim die, Rhinestone sticker

I ran out of black ribbon – all black ribbon – and used some rhinestone stickers from Elizabeth Craft Designs instead.  Just a little bling for my butterfly Hugs, Fran

Miss You Already

This Designer Series paper is Afternoon Tea – so pretty!  I used it to make a circle flip card and to show off one of the greetings from Really Good Greetings.  This is an extra long flip card made with the Thinlit die.  To do this you cut your cardstock to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and pull the end over the thinlit instead of just laying the card stock underneath.  The thinlit makes a mark at the end – but doesn’t cut through because the card stock is on top.  You simply fold at this mark.

I put the inside sentiment from Lots of Thanks on the underneath side of the circle.  We will be making this card (and others!) at stamp club tomorrow

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Really Good Greetings, Lots of Thanks
card stock – Coastal Cabana, Very Vanilla, Afternoon Tea, Silver Glimmer paper
Ink – Wisteria Wonder
Stampin Write Markers – Wisteria Wonder, Coastal Cabana
Etc – Circle Thinlit die, 2 1/2 circle punch, Wisteria Wonder Chevron ribbon, Silver Ribbon, corner rounder, Small heart punch, Owl punch

Our Annual Garage Sale is next week!  I get to start cleaning out the garage today – my once a year cleaning (ha!)  Hugs, Fran

Really Good Greetings Pop

It’s the Soho Subway Designer Series paper again   I used the exclusive Stampin Up Pop N Cuts base for the card and the Apothecary Art Framelits to make the tag.  The border is That’s the Ticket and the Ticket punch.

For the insert I used the suitcase from Sizzix’s Journey collection.  I stamped with Beyond Plaid (last day to get this stamp!!) and added some Vintage Trinkets.

I used Early Espresso Core dinations paper and sanded it for the details.  Love how it gives the look of worn leather.

The top piece is from the Top Note die.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Really Good Greetings, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Beyond Plaid, That’s the Ticket
Card Stock – Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Early Espresso Core dinations, Soho Subway DSP

One of my friends was actually able to locate the street she use to live on on this paper!  Hugs, Fran

Really Good Greeting Sneak Peek

A sneak peek of a new sentiment – Really Good Greetings – plus some new Designer Series paper and embossing folder.

The layout was inspired by one Julie Salva showed – I changed the colors and added the embossing folder.  To stamp the sentiment in different colors when I don’t have the markers (yet!) I inked up the sentiment in Strawberry Slush and then markered over some of the words with Island Indigo.

Ink – Strawberry Slush, Island Indigo
Etc – Mosaic embossing folder, Vintage Faceted Designer buttons, Pool Party Baker’s Twine, Scallop Circle punch, 2 1/2 circle punch, square punch

Lots of fun colors!  Hugs, Fran
