Creative Cuts

I spent some time searching images in My Digital Studio to use for a card idea that was circling in my head.  This is not the idea!  But it was such a pretty cut – that I decided to go with it.  This image is from Creative Elements – available as a download or a stamp set.  I exported the image from MDS into my ECal software, enlarged it, and cut it out of Crumb Cake cardstock.  I have to say that what was left behind on my cutting mat was as beautiful as the image itself and I will have to try it again using the negative.  I stamped the cardstock with the Hardwood background stamp and layered it over a piece of Afternoon Picnic Designer Series paper.

Supplies
Stamp Set – Express Yourself, Hardwood, MDS Creative Elements
Cardstock – Crumb Cake, Afternoon Picnic
Ink – Chocolate Chip
Etc – Large pearl, ecutter

I still have that “other” idea swimming in my head – I just got distracted!  Hugs, Fran

Another Lattice Card

Here’s another example of the Lattice die using the full die cut.  The outer die cut is the Window Frame Framelit.  It uses the same supplies as this card – just a variation (since this die has now come out of hiding!)  The tutorial for this card was featured in my newsletter yesterday.  You could also stamp the sentiment on the inside if you just wanted to showcase the die cuts.

Supplies
Stamp Set – Lots of Thanks, Petite Petals
Card stock – Whisper White, Watercolor Wonder DSP
Ink – Crushed Curry, Crisp Cantaloupe
Etc – Lattice die, Window Frame Framelits, Petite Petal punch, Bird Punch, Large pearl , Mosaic embossing folder

I hope you’ll try mixing and matching your dies and Framelits – you might create a masterpiece!  Hugs, Fran

Easter Greetings

This is a card we did yesterday at stamp club.  Inspired by Pinterest, it features the Watercolor Wonder Designer Series paper and the Lattice die.  The front is embossed with the Mosaic embossing folder and I found it easiest to emboss it first and then die cut it with the Oval Framelits.

Supplies
Stamp Set – Delightful Dozen, Petite Petals
Cardstock – Whisper White, Watercolor Wonder DSP
Ink – Crushed Curry, Crisp Cantaloupe
Etc – Lattice die, Mosaic embossing folder, Oval Franelits, large pearl, Petite Petal punch, Bird punch

It was fun playing with the Lattice die again.  I had to dust it off and I’m glad I did!  Hugs, Fran

An Eggstra Spectacular Banner

Here’s a bunny for your banner   On Tuesday, Stampin Up released Eggstra Spectacular as a download (1379120).  I imported the svg file into my ecutter and enlarged the bunny, deleted his tail and cut him out of Whisper White cardstock.  He is adhered to a banner from the Celebration Basics Kit (133007) and has a pom-pom from the banner that was available during Saleabration.  Making an entire banner of these would be so cute – but I am going to tie this one on to an Easter basket.  Just a funny idea!  Hugs, Fran

Kindness Accordion

This is a simple Circle Accordion card – just two panels and some stamping.  (okay, and some butterflies!)  I used Gifts of Kindness and stamped the circles – punched some small butterflies from vellum cardstcok – added pearls and that is that.  The Marina Mist and So Saffron colors make it soft and “spring-like.”

Supplies
Stamp Set – Gifts of Kindness
Cardstock – Marina Mist, Whisper White, vellum cardstock, Polka Dot DSP
Ink – So Saffron, Jet Black Stazon
Etc – Circle Accordion die and Square Frame Edges(Elizabeth Craft Designs), Pearls, small butterfly punch

I’m a bit anxious to see spring flowers!  Hugs, Fran

Shine On, Fabulous

This card features one of the hostess sets from the Occasions Mini called Make a Point and the fabulous stamp set, Million and One.  I colored the nail polishes with Copic markers and then coated them with Crystal Effects.

Can you see them shine?  Kind of fun   On the inside I added a “splat” from Gorgeous Grunge and some more Crystal Effects.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Million & One, Make a Point, Gorgeous Grunge
Card stock – Whisper White, Basic Black
Ink – Memento Tuxedo Black, Real Red
Etc – Black Chevron ribbon, Crystal Effects, Copic Markers (R20 through 29)

It’s the last day of Saleabration!  If you haven’t grabbed all the  free goodies you wanted – now’s your last chance.  Hugs, Fran

Easter Bunny

It’s the Easter Bunny!  He’s from a SVGCuts file called Bunny Hop and his head comes off to make a box.  I did him up in Whisper White and a retired Designer Series paper – no idea what it was called!  But he’s cute and easy to assemble and will look darling for an Easter display.  The only thing he’s missing is a big, fuzzy tail – and I can take care of that   Hugs, Fran

Postcard to Mom

This is the background stamp Postcard with Simple Stems stamped over it.  The Postcard stamp is easy to use and easy to cut out – just straight lines.  I used Pink Pirouette ribbon, but Primrose Petals ribbon would have been pretty too.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Postcard, Simple Stems, Delightful Dozen
Cardstock – Basic Gray, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White
Ink – Basic Gray, Pink Pirouette, Old Olive, Primrose Petals
Etc – Tasteful Trim die, Pink Pirouette ribbon

I really love pink and gray together.  Hugs, Fran

March Paper Pumpkin

This month’s Paper Pumpkin had lots of fun elements!  First off – those great wooden sayings!  (I’m saving one of the “congrats” for a scrapbook page )  Then there are Glimmer Paper dots – and Gold Foil liners for the envelopes.  Now that the kits have photopolymer stamps in them, lining up the arrows and zig zags was easy.  (hint – I did draw a faint line in the open space to make it easier to stay on the straight and narrow!)  Fun kit!
