Bird Punch Clips and Ornaments

I made a little ornament/decoration out of the Bird punch- similar to what I did with the Bat punch earlier.  I put it on fishing string and made an ornament.

I used 6 punches in Whisper White and then embossed a piece of Shimmery White with the Petals embossing folder and punched 2 more from that.  On the second one I separated the wings with little pieces of Dimensionals.

You can’t really see the wings in this photo – it’s hard to photograph white on white.  Then go over the bird with a Two Way Glue pen and add Dazzling Diamonds.  Another idea is to put on of the birds on a clip and attach to a package –

The box is covered at the bottom with Holly Berry Bouquet DSP and the top is brayered with Real Red ink, covered with Tombow Multipurpose glue and Dazzling Diamonds – lots of Dazzling Diamonds!

Have you seen the Online Extravaganza yet?  Lots of deals – especially today!  I’m shopping!  Enjoy – Hugs, Fran

Snowman Tag

There’s a great tutorial on splitcoast for telescoping cards.  I used it to create a telescoping snowman tag.  Here he is closed –

And here he is open –

The bottom part is the scallop circle punch and the 1 3/8 circle punch.
The middle part is the 1 3/8 and 1 1/4 circle punch with 1/4 coal buttons.
The head is the 1 1/4  and 1 circle punches – with a word window punch hat brim and 1/4 circle punch eyes.
The nose and arms are free handed.  Now all he needs is a string through his hat and present to sit on!  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Bling Tree

Here’s a totally different take on the Medallion Christmas Tree – bling!  I made this one with the First Edition Designer Series paper and Champagne Glass glitter.  (The cutting and assembly for this tree can be found here.)

I applied the glitter with Tombow Multipurpose glue after the medallions were made – but before they were assembled.

The star on top is an ornament.  I just snipped the loop off the top and hot glued it down.  The base is a hurricane candle holder tied with Whisper White organza ribbon.  Tomorrow I’ll show you another “look!”  Enjoy – Hugs, Fran

More Regional Projects

This is a project from the Louisville Regionals – and it probably seems a bit early.  Made with the Petite Pocket die, the little book holds notes (or gift cards!) They used the stamp set You Are Loved from the Holiday Mini – I used Delightful Dozens and Best Friends Forever.

Each pocket is cut slight smaller than the next.  They are attached together with the ribbon.  My goal for this weekend is to remake this in a Christmas theme – and keep this one for Valentine Day.  Hope you’re having a great start to the weekend!  Hugs, Fran

Medallion Tree

I’ve seen lots of cute things made with “lollies” or medallions – scored strips of paper – so I decided to try a Christmas tree.  This is made with retired Old Olive Designer Series paper (tons of this stuff!)  Isn’t it cute?

Here’s the medallion “trunk.”

The star on top is two star punches, slit so they fit over each other.

So now I need to find some more little buckets so I can have a forrest of these!  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Stitched Felt

Here’s an idea share by Bonnie Thurber (LOVE her!) at the Louisville Regionals.  She created a set of tags using the Stitched Felt Winter Wishes (124108) and the Frostwood Lodge Designer Series paper (124002), the ribbon punch and the Dear Santa stamp set.  I cased her idea using 2 1/2 x 4 1/4 Whisper White tags.

Silver glitter paper!  Love it!  The center circle is the 1 3/8 circle punch –

Now I am 4 tags ahead!  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Poisoned Milk

Pick Your Poison Designer Series paper has some great designs for 3-D items.  The images are large and- in this case – are almost all you need to create your project.   I made a double milk carton box (die cut two milk cartons, remove on section that does not have a flap from each die cut, and adhere together) and covered it with the Trick or Treat piece of DSP.

The tag is punch with the Designer Label punch from the DSP –

I added a few rhinestones just for fun and then distressed the edges.

I was able to get 6 of these finished in about an hour – Samantha’s party is Saturday and I’m running out of time!  Glad these were easy!  Enjoy – Hugs, Fran
