Anniversary Sailor

I cased this layout from one that was on a Leadership display board.  I changed some of the colors/cardstock – but kept the layout the same.  This uses the very fun stamp set Hello Sailor and the Hardwood background stamp – both from the current Occasions Mini.  I’ve decided that this background stamp can be used for anything!  *Here’s a tip for lining up banners under the circle image.  Put Dimensionals on the back of the circle but only remove the backing from the top one.  Stick it down – place the banners underneath and then remove the backings from the rest of the Dimensionals.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Hello Sailor, Hardwood
Cardstock – Basic Gray, Smokey Slate, Pacific Point, Whisper White
Ink – Basic Gray, Calypso Corsl
Etc – Banner Framelits, Starburst Framelits, 2 1/2 circle punch, small star punch

On the inside I stamped the “Perfect North” image.  It can be used for an anniversary, best friend,  co-worker – lots of people   Hugs, Fran

Easter Greetings

This is a card we did yesterday at stamp club.  Inspired by Pinterest, it features the Watercolor Wonder Designer Series paper and the Lattice die.  The front is embossed with the Mosaic embossing folder and I found it easiest to emboss it first and then die cut it with the Oval Framelits.

Supplies
Stamp Set – Delightful Dozen, Petite Petals
Cardstock – Whisper White, Watercolor Wonder DSP
Ink – Crushed Curry, Crisp Cantaloupe
Etc – Lattice die, Mosaic embossing folder, Oval Franelits, large pearl, Petite Petal punch, Bird punch

It was fun playing with the Lattice die again.  I had to dust it off and I’m glad I did!  Hugs, Fran

Kindness Accordion

This is a simple Circle Accordion card – just two panels and some stamping.  (okay, and some butterflies!)  I used Gifts of Kindness and stamped the circles – punched some small butterflies from vellum cardstcok – added pearls and that is that.  The Marina Mist and So Saffron colors make it soft and “spring-like.”

Supplies
Stamp Set – Gifts of Kindness
Cardstock – Marina Mist, Whisper White, vellum cardstock, Polka Dot DSP
Ink – So Saffron, Jet Black Stazon
Etc – Circle Accordion die and Square Frame Edges(Elizabeth Craft Designs), Pearls, small butterfly punch

I’m a bit anxious to see spring flowers!  Hugs, Fran

Easter Dress

Feeling very springy today – even if it snows.  This card base is the exclusive SU Pop N Cuts Base and Sweet Sorbet Designer Series paper.  The tag was made with the Scallop Tag Topper punch.  The words are from Blessings From Heaven.  I masked off sections and made the sentiment tighter so that it would fit on the tag.

And here she is with her Easter Eggs.  The eggs were done with the small oval punch.  I punched them and then put them on a sticky note back into the punch so they would have a more “egg” shape.

Stamp Sets – Blessings From Heaven, Petal Parade
Card stock – Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, Whisper White, Sahara Sand, Sweet Sorbet DSP
Ink – Jet Black Stazon, Crisp Cantaloupe
Etc – SU Pop N Cuts base and Dress Form insert, small and medium oval punches, Oval Framelits, Pistachio Pudding ribbon, pearls, Scallop Tag Topper punch, Doilie tape, Itty Bitty Shapes punch

The photo quality isn’t great – sorry.  The Crisp Cantaloupe seemed to “glow” while I was taking pictures.  Hugs, Fran

Double High Spring

Well what can I say?  This is the kind of card that cleaning creates!  While going through a few boxes tucked away in my closet, I found all kinds of embellishments – everything from flowers, to Christmas, to babies, to animals.  I thought I might use some of this stuff – and decided to make a Double High Katie Label card would be a good start.

I started with my favorite sheet of Watercolor Wonder DSP – and lots of daisies.  The little ladybugs were created with an Elizabeth Craft Designs die and glitter.  The sentiment is from Best of Love.

On the inside I used Chalk Talk (and more flowers and ladybugs.)

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Chalk Talk, Best of Love
Cardstock – Whisper White, Smokey Slate, Island Indigo, Gumball Green, Watercolor Wonder DSP
Ink – Basic Gray
Etc – Karen Burniston Katie Label Pivot die, ECD Ladybug die, Tasteful Trim die, Ribbon punch, Bird punch, Washi tape (Epic Day), flower stickers

I’ve tried to consolidate some of the stash – a better idea would be to use it up!  Hugs, Fran

Eggs in a Box

We are doing fancy folds at my team meeting this Sunday and this is the one I’m doing.  It’s a Card in a Box and it folds nice and flat to fit in a regular envelope.  I’ve made larger ones but this cutie is tiny!  I used the measurements on Splitcoast – scroll all the way to the bottom to find the measurements for an A2 card.

My eggs are the large oval punch and the flowers are the Petite Petal and Bird punches.  The grass is made with the Fringe Scissors.  The little bunny/lamb  is from Eggstra Specatular.

Supplies
Stamp Set – Eggstra Spectacular
Cardstock – Pool Party, Crisp Cantaloupe, Whisper White, Sweet Sorbet DSP
Ink – Jet Black Stazon
Etc – Large Oval punch, Scallop Edge punch, Petite Petal punch, Bird punch, Candy Dots, Fringe Scissors, small butterfly punch, rhinestones

Now I have a question for you – if you use Pinterest, would you rather see boards set up by stamp sets or catalogs.  I currently have mine set up by stamp sets which makes for a lot of boards.  I’m wondering if it would easier to just do it by catalogs or themes.  What do you think?  Hugs, Fran

The Power of Two

One of my friends and I love to get up early in the morning and meet for coffee whenever we can.  It’s a great way for us to get in some “girl time” before the day takes off.  So the sentiment on the front of my card celebrates this time .  The card is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2

Inside I used Karen Burniston’s Garden Bench Pop It Ups die to create this scene.  (Stamp is from Art Impressions)  The die comes with the flowers and grass (and more!)

To keep “our feet on the ground” I used the grass and few flowers – and a box behind it.  There’s also a box behind the image to keep it steady.

Can you see them?  One on the bench and one on the ground.

Supplies
Stamp Set – Perfect Blend,  Yippee-Skippee, Coffee BFFs (AI)
Card stock – Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, Pool Party, Whisper White, Sweet Sorbet DSP (SA
Ink – Jet Black Stazon
Etc – Garden Bench and Agatha Edges Pop It Ups, Oval Punch, Oval Framelit, Candy dots

Now if only the snow would melt so we could sit on a garden bench.  Hugs, Fran

A Musical Birthday

Karen Burniston challenged us to use any of her new Pop It Ups dies to create anything we wanted – makes my head spin!  I decided to use her Pop It Ups Accordion Fancy Label to create a birthday card.  The “Happy Birthday” is an Elizabeth Craft Design die that is so nice and thin I could bend is in an arc across the front.  The flower is a stack of Petite Petal punch flowers scrunched to make a little flower.  The little banner is the new banner punch in the SAB mini – rounded with an oval punch on the top.

Here it is open.  The center square is embossed using My Friend.  The “to You” is made up of the “You” in the ECD die Thank You and the “to” is the T from birthday and O from you.  (Does that make sense?)  The die for the Red Glimmer paper diamonds in the corner comes with the Accordion Fancy Label die!

Supplies
Stamp Set – My Friend
Cardstock – Very Vanilla, Red Glimmer paper, Basic Black, Modern Medley DSP
Ink – Versamark
Etc – Pop It Ups Accordion Fancy Label, ECD Happy Birthday and Thank You dies, Small banner punch, Petite Petal punch, Candy dots

Lots of fun!  Hugs, Fran

Spiral Rose Pops

Oh my!  I forgot to show you the original project for the Spiral Rose die Lollipop Flowers!  This box is an svg file from SVGcuts (Honeybee Tea) that is meant to hold cakepops.  I made it to hold some of the roses – or more accurately, the roses fit in the box

The DSP is retired and the acetate is from Quatrefancy Specialty DSP.

Supplies for the flowers
Cardstock – Pink Pirouette, Real Red, Wild Wasabi,
Etc – Spiral Rose die, Flower punch

It’s fun to combine the things I love!  Hugs, Fran

Blue Ribbon Graduate

Here’s a graduation idea using Blue Ribbon and Great Sport.  To make the ribbon embellishment,  I embossed the swirly image in Great Sport in white embossing powder on the 2 3/4 x 4 1/2 piece of Basic Black.  Then stamp the ribbon in Coastal Cabana and Summer Starfruit.  Punch the scallop circle part and cut out the banner ends.  Stamp the congratulations part on the banner ends in Basic Black and piece the ribbon back together.  Stamp the “Congrats Grads” in Versamark on Basic Black, punch out and adhere to the center with Dimensionals.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Blue Ribbon, Great Sport
Cardstock – Basic Black, Summer Starfruit, Whisper White, In Color DSP pack, Neutral DSP pack
Ink – Versamark, Coastal Cabana, Summer Starfruit, Basic Black
Etc – white embossing powder, 2 3/8 Scallop Circle punch, 1 1/4 circle punch, Neutral Candy Dots

Of course this card would work best in the colors of the graduate’s school!  Hugs, Fran
