Bird Punch Clips and Ornaments

I made a little ornament/decoration out of the Bird punch- similar to what I did with the Bat punch earlier.  I put it on fishing string and made an ornament.

I used 6 punches in Whisper White and then embossed a piece of Shimmery White with the Petals embossing folder and punched 2 more from that.  On the second one I separated the wings with little pieces of Dimensionals.

You can’t really see the wings in this photo – it’s hard to photograph white on white.  Then go over the bird with a Two Way Glue pen and add Dazzling Diamonds.  Another idea is to put on of the birds on a clip and attach to a package –

The box is covered at the bottom with Holly Berry Bouquet DSP and the top is brayered with Real Red ink, covered with Tombow Multipurpose glue and Dazzling Diamonds – lots of Dazzling Diamonds!

Have you seen the Online Extravaganza yet?  Lots of deals – especially today!  I’m shopping!  Enjoy – Hugs, Fran

Snowman Tag

There’s a great tutorial on splitcoast for telescoping cards.  I used it to create a telescoping snowman tag.  Here he is closed –

And here he is open –

The bottom part is the scallop circle punch and the 1 3/8 circle punch.
The middle part is the 1 3/8 and 1 1/4 circle punch with 1/4 coal buttons.
The head is the 1 1/4  and 1 circle punches – with a word window punch hat brim and 1/4 circle punch eyes.
The nose and arms are free handed.  Now all he needs is a string through his hat and present to sit on!  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Sounding Case

I was out of town for a few days and was slightly shocked to find that there are places in this great country where there is no internet!  I must be very spoiled.  Time did not allow me to search for a restaurant or coffee shop – so I was out of luck!  So here’s a card cased from the Holiday Mini that’s a bit late being shown –

I used the Medallion background stamp instead of the Letter Press behind the main image.  The rest is just like the mini!

Supplies
Stamp Sets – The Sounding Joy, Medallion
card stock – Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, Pool Party
Ink – More Mustard, Cherry Cobbler, Versamark
Etc – Gold embossing powder, Cherry Cobbler seam binding, Boho Blossom punch, pearl, Scallop Border punch

Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Simply Sent Delightful Decorations

I still have a few Simply Sent Everyday Elegance cards and decided to continue turning them into Christmas cards.  You’ll have to forgive this photo – my easel has gone missing and it doesn’t show well without it.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Delightful Decorations, Petite Pairs
card stock – Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Cherry Cobbler,Simply Sent Everyday Elegance
Ink – Cherry Cobbler, Baja Breeze
Etc – Ornament punch, small oval punch, Petals embossing folder, Baja Breeze and Cherry Cobbler seam binding, silver cord, Rhinestone

These cards make great bases!

My hot glue gun went up in flames yesterday while making more medallions- real flames!  Scared me to death!  I have another one but am thinking that it might be time to just buy a new hot glue gun.  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

It Is A Beautiful Season

Jumping out of Halloween to share a Christmas card with you!  This is a new set in the big Idea Book and Catalog called Beautiful Season – and it’s beautiful!  For this card I used Cherry Cobbler and Soft Suede(which I’m stuck on right now.)

The little poinsettia on the sentiment is made with the Boho Blossom punch.  I’ve been working on lots of poinsettias and will share how in the next day or so –

The image is watercolored with an aquapainter and ink pads –

Supplies
Stamp sets – Beautiful Season
card stock – Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz, Soft Suede, Jet Black Stazon
Ink – Cherry Cobbler, Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake
Etc – Tasteful Trim Big Shot die, Cherry CObbler quilted ribbon, Large oval punch, pearls, Petals embossing folder

Gotta run – Christmas Stamp a Stack in less than an hour and I still have to get the baskets on the table!  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Awash Again!

Last one – at least for a little bit!  I found a bag made up of Perfect Plum and Rose Red and can’t even remember what the original card looked like!  But in the spirit of cleaning up and using up – and still having Awash with Flowers outs (are you sick of it yet?) I made this card –

Supplies
Stamp sets – Awash With Flowers, Grateful Greeting
card stock – Perfect Plum, Whisper White, Rose Red
Ink – Basic Black, Marina Mist, Rose Red, Perfect Plum
Etc – Fancy Flower punch, 1 3/8 Circle punch, Itty Bitty flower punch, rhinestone, Marina Mist grosgrain, corner rounder

Our internet was so spotty yesterday!  This rarely happens and I blamed it on my son – who had messed around with the router the night before.  Poor boy!  Now my neighbor tells me they too had problems all day.  Do you think my son messed up everyone’s internet?  (I didn’t rat him out – just in case!)

Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Bat Clips

I am so excited to see the Bat Punch in the Clearance rack (instead of gone for good!)  I’ve been making these little clips for a Halloween party – and if you hurry – you can too!  The original idea was shown using die cuts and chip board but I just used the 7 punches in Basic Black card stock- stacked together with Tombow Multipurpose glue – with an embossed bat on the top.

They are very sturdy when finished –

Stamp class this morning and evening – gotta run!  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Musical Tree

Here is my musical paper tree.  I used some retired Designers Series paper and you could also use paper made by wheeling the Music Notes wheel on Very Vanilla card stock and distressing it a bit with Crumb Cake ink.  The tutorial for making these trees can be found on Splitcoast.

I put Cherry Cobbler roses on top –

And little, tiny blooms throughout made with the Boho Blossoms punch (6 each of the small flower) –

I ended up sticking the pot in the oven for a while last night to get the pigment ink to dry.  I really should think before I paint!  Enjoy – Hugs, Fran

Beau Chateau Ornament

When I finished all my Beau Chateau projects, I had LOTS of scraps left over!  And I mean LOTS!  I don’t usually save scraps, but since I had a limited amount of paper with that project, I saved every little bit of paper.  I just didn’t feel like I could sweep them all into the trash – I had to do something with them.  So I made this ornament –

I simply got out my Boho Blossom punch and punched all the scrap into flowers, stacked them and attached them to a styrofoam ball with pearl topped pins.  In real life the ball has a much softer look – my camera wants you to see every edge!  What a fun way to use up scrap!  I had wrapped a piece of Victorian Lace around the ball before I started for a hanger and finished it off with some Marina Mist grosgrain – thought I’m considering changing it to Very Vanilla.  What do you think?  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran
