Resized Bee

I changed the card size on this card so that the bee (from Kim Score’s punch tutorial In the Garden) would fit better on my card.  And this meant that I could change the offending Tempting Turquoise flower that I had to cover up on the last card!

Now he’s showing his cute self off and not getting lost among the flowers!

Dazzling Details on his wings and flowers – I really have to rein myself in with that stuff – I could put it everywhere.  This color combo is great as a pick me up during this weird weather we’re having.  Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight, Wisteria Wonder and Wild Wasabi!  Enjoy – Hugs Fran

Bee with a Bunch

Here’s another punch art card made with Kim Score’s punch art tutorial.  And here I’m going to show you what I did wrong – with the card, not the bee – and how I (sort of) fixed it!

The background is Awash with Flowers.  I got quite carried away and the flowers really overpower the poor little bee.  Behind the bunch of flower is a huge, Tempting Turquoise flower that completely overpowered the bouquet.  So I took a piece of vellum, scalloped the edge, pleated it and slide it behind the flowers to kind of cover up the TT flower.

The ribbon on the bouquet is white taffeta that I dyed Wisteria Wonder.

I used a lot Dazzling Details on the wings and flowers – just because!  It’s a busy bee card!  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Dragonfly Awash

I purchased a punch art tutorial from Kim Score at Paper Punch Addiction and used the dragonfly with Awash With Flowers to make this birthday card –

It’s a 6 x 6 card – so cute!  The wings were pressed into a Versamark pad and covered with Iridescent Ice embossing power to make them sparkle.

I went over the ribbon on the packages with Dazzling Details – they sparkle too!

The dragonfly and packages are on Dimensionals to give them some pop.  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Awash Again!

Last one – at least for a little bit!  I found a bag made up of Perfect Plum and Rose Red and can’t even remember what the original card looked like!  But in the spirit of cleaning up and using up – and still having Awash with Flowers outs (are you sick of it yet?) I made this card –

Supplies
Stamp sets – Awash With Flowers, Grateful Greeting
card stock – Perfect Plum, Whisper White, Rose Red
Ink – Basic Black, Marina Mist, Rose Red, Perfect Plum
Etc – Fancy Flower punch, 1 3/8 Circle punch, Itty Bitty flower punch, rhinestone, Marina Mist grosgrain, corner rounder

Our internet was so spotty yesterday!  This rarely happens and I blamed it on my son – who had messed around with the router the night before.  Poor boy!  Now my neighbor tells me they too had problems all day.  Do you think my son messed up everyone’s internet?  (I didn’t rat him out – just in case!)

Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

More Redos

Here’s a few more “redos” for you!  The original card was a case from a card I found on our demonstrator group site by Laura Leuenberger.  I changed the ribbon and brad –

Pick up the Pieces

I have a stack of left over pieces from different cards/classes making quite an impressive pile so I decided to do something with them!  A few of them I made up just as they were “cut to be” – but then I got an idea.  I took  the pieces for this card –

grabbed a few other sets and made these – (Holiday Happiness)

Awash with Flowers –

Field Flowers –

It was so much fun to see how different each card looked using the same pieces!  (And fast, because all the pieces were already cut!)

Holiday Wreath class today!  And at some point I have to squeeze in a trip to the grocery store – seriously, it’s  empty around here.  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran
