As 2012 comes to an end, I want to take a look back at some of my favorite creations from this year.
I hope you’ll enjoy a few days of scrolling through memories of 2012 while I prepare for the start of 2013. Hugs, Fran
Needed a few more tags to finish up this season’s wrapping. I had this tag that I cased and it’s pretty and easy enough to make a stack of them quickly. The Vanilla ornament is embossed with clear embossing powder – and at some point I switched to the Sugar and Spice embossing powder because it smells so good!
Supplies
Stamp Sets – Delightful Decorations
card stock – Kraft, Very Vanilla, Gumball Green
Ink – Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, Versamark
Etc – Decoration punch, Bird punch, 3/4″ circle punch, Simply Scored, linen thread, mini brad, clear embossing powder
Hope your Christmas “doings” are coming together! Hugs, Fran
This is a semi-case of the cute card in the upcoming Spring Mini using the stamp set Henry Says. I love how they used the Beyond Plaid set to do the background on the elephant. (Mine came out a bit wonky because I wasn’t paying attention!)
Supplies
Stamp Sets – Henry Says, Beyond Plaid
card stock – Marina Mist, Whisper Whiter, So Saffron, Subtles Dsp
Ink – Marina Mist, Bashful Blue, So Saffron
Etc – Subtle buttons, Bakers Twine, Scallop edge punch, Finishing Touches edgelit, Marina Mist ribbon
Hugs, Fran
Use little scraps of Designer Series paper to make cute tags for your packages. You could even use wrapping paper and have your tags match your boxes!
Supplies
Stamp Set – Greetings of the Season
card stock – Whisper White, Snow Festival DSP
Ink – Gumball Green
Etc – Cherry Cobbler seam binding
And then punch some little ornaments and back them in Designer Series paper (or wrapping paper!)
Supplies
Stamp Set – Petite Pairs
card stock – Whisper White, Snow Festival DSP
Ink – Gumball Green
Etc – Merry Mini punch pack, Bakers Twine, rhinestones
Hugs, Fran
Becky Roberts did a great tutorial on how to make these – you can find it here. I added Rudolph to my collection (and hangers to make them ornaments.) The antlers on Rudolph are the retired Scribbles and Swirls die. If you use this die, double it – it’s very delicate and needs some extra “umph.”
I’ll share a sneak peek with you tomorrow from the upcoming Spring Mini. I hate to rush it – but there is one project/product that has me swooning – so I think I’ll go ahead and share it Hugs, Fran
Forgot to get my sticker! Hugs, Fran
My brother, sister and I had a surprise party for my dad’s 80th birthday. I thought I’d share with you a few of the things I did to add to the celebration.
First – invitations made with Make a Cake and the layout cased from Connie Babbert (thanks Connie!) Here’s some of the decorations –
Patio Party flags for the cupcakes made in My Digital Studio (Patio Party
Collection DVD (p. 199)) and little cupcakes made from votive candles.
And big tissue paper pom-poms! These were taken before the tables were set – but you get the idea. And, of course, party favors – made with a combo of the My Digital Studio and the Fancy Favor Big Shot die –
These were perfect for a two piece box of bourbon balls, a rustic pencil and a little bottle of Maker’s Mark! Great party! Hugs, Fran
This is the (retired) Attic Boutique DSP with a Soft Sued background and block. (And some cute pictures of my youngest!)
The top left square used the Pennant Punch, Blossom Party die and Beautiful Wings embosslit. The sewing was done on the block.
Down the center is the Lace Ribbon punch (retired) and some butterflies from the Beautiful Butterflies die. The heart at the top of the page pulls up for the journaling.
Apothecary Art and Family Reunion make up the title – die cut with the Labels Collection Framelit. The rose is a circle that is cut in a spiral and wrapped like a rose. The heart is 5 heart punches stacked together to create some depth. Missing those heart trinkets! Lots of fun! Enjoy – Hugs, Fran
A stepped up version of this card –
There was one packet for this card left after stamp club so I played with it. I added a Real Red layer, some embossing and a different sentiment. (Just had to play with the new Framelit die!)
Stamp Set – Itty Bitty Banners
card stock – Whisper White, Real Red, Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper
Ink – Real Red
Etc – Blossoms punch, Bright button, Baker’s Twine, corner rounder, Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder, Bitty Banner Framelit
Which one is your favorite? CAS or stepped up? Enjoy! Hugs, Fran
I saw this quick and cute idea in a card magazine – using a punch negative to make the focal point – and knew the Blossom punch would work for this. It’s backed with the wonderful Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper to make it pop.
Stamp Set – Petite Pairs
card stock – Whisper White, Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper
Ink – Real Red
Etc – Blossoms punch, Bright button, Baker’s Twine, corner rounder
Hint – adhere the DSP to the card front and pop up the punched layer using Dimensionals. Enjoy! Hugs, Fran
