Geometrical

When I first get a new catalog I like to case my favorite cards – just to get the ideas flowing.  These cards are on page 10 of the Spring/Occasions/whatever it is called mini catalog.  They use the Geometrical stamp set.  I really like the top card – and the bottom turned out just okay.

But it was fun to start playing with the Hexagon Hive Thinlit!  (tip – place a piece of waxed paper between the paper and the die for easy release!)

Supplies
Stamp Set – Geometrical, Gorgeous Grunge
Card stock – Whisper White
Inks – Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Strawberry Slush, Smokey Slate, Jet Black Stazon
Etc – Hexagon Hive Thinlit, sequins, washi tape, black cord, sewing machine

Find time to stamp something today!  Hugs, Fran

Perfect Pennants

This card was made for a good friend of mine and this sentiment from Perfect Pennants was, well, perfect!  I based the colors on the Retro Fresh This and That Washi tape.

On the inside I stamped one of the tape looking stamps across the bottom.  This could easily be more washi tape if you aren’t in the mood to try and stamp a straight line!.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Perfect Pennants, Gorgeous Grunge, Petite Pairs
Card stock – Very Vanilla
Ink – Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana, So Saffron, Tangerine Tango
Etc – Retro Fresh Washi Tape, Cute Clip, Banner Framelit

Hope you have a great weekend!  Hugs, Fran

Birthday Pop

Another Great Year 02

Here’s another card featuring Another Great Year on the front and using the same technique that I showed you here to do the banners.  The only difference is that I colored the “loops” before I added the Dazzling Details.  The card base is the SU exclusive Pop N cuts base die with Birthday Basic Designer Series paper. There are lots of fun prints in this one!

Another Great Year 02 inside

Inside I used Karen Burniston’s new Pop It Up die – which work perfectly inside any size card – called Lots of Pop.  The owl is the owl punch (!) and the presents on the floor are just square punches.  They are mainly there to hold up the balloons because they are on wires.

Another Great Year 02detail

“Happy” is from Countless Sayings II – a photopolymer stamp set.  I’m eating my words on these photopolymer stamps.  They are fun to use.  Change – it takes me a while

Here you can see the “innards” of the card.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Another Great Year, Countess Sayings II
Card stock – Whisper White, Crushed Curry, Gumball Green, Raspberry Ripple, Island Indigo, Birthday Basics DSP
Ink – Jet Black Stazon
Etc – Pop N Cuts base, Owl Builder punch, small oval punch, Pop It Up Lots of Pop Framelit, square punch, Dazzling Details

Now to clean up the mess around me – and maybe try to stick to one stamp set at a time for a while.  Maybe.  Hugs, Fran

More Spiral Roses

Here are some more projects using various sizes of the Spiral Rose die (129379) that I showed you yesterday.   This photo gives you a really good idea of the size because it fits perfectly in the circle of the Decorative Window Gift Box (132146).

I wrapped the box with Pink Pirouette Chevron ribbon.

These little plastic containers are from the wedding section of a craft store.  I stamped the “baby” from One in a Million on the side in White Stazon and put a normal size rose on the top.

Not as easy to see – empty and in a photograph – but the white really stands out.

Hope you’ve enjoyed all the roses!  Hugs, Fran

Pop a Million

One thing I love about the Soho Subway in the new catalog is how the paper can stand alone in it’s design.  I love the BIG numbers and used it with the SU Pop N Cuts base to create the front of this card.

The only things added are the flower (from Timeless Type Big Shot Alphabet), the sentiment and the tiny strip of Crisp Cantaloupe.

I used a Sizzix insert called Funky Label and added more Timeless Type numbers and a little banner made with the 7/8 scallop punch.

The numbers are on fishing line – and attached to each other so they weren’t flopping all over the place!

I also stamped off an image from Clockworks on the sentiment – just for fun.  The Happy Birthday is also stamped directly on the DSP.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – One in a Million, Bring on the Cake, Clockworks
card stock – Soho Subway DSP, Island Indigo, Whisper White
Ink – Island Indigo, Calypso Coral, Crumb Cake
Etc – SU Pop N Cuts base, Timeless Type Big Shot Alphabet, Sizzix Funky Label insert and Framelit, 7/8 Scallop punch, fishing line

It’s a very busy card!  Hugs, Fran

Feel Goods

This is the new Designer Series paper – Gingham Garden.  I have paired it up with the exclusive SU Pop N Cuts base and an insert called 3-D Label.  One of the coolest things about the Pop N Cuts base is that it will all the inserts that Sizzix makes.  This one swings – so your decorations work on the inside and out.  I inked my Feel Goods stamp in Strawberry Slush (because I don’t have a marker, yet!) and then colored over some of the words with and Island Indigo marker.

On the little inside label I used Fabulous Phrases to stamp Hi Friend and the small heart punch.  See how my outside is now my inside?

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Feel Goods, Fabulous Phrases
card stock – Gingham Garden DSP, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White, Strawberry Slush
Ink – Strawberry Slush, Island Indigo, Pear Pizzaz
Etc – SU Pop N Cuts base, small heart punch, Label Window insert and matching framelit, Edge & Scroll die

Tomorrow is my New Catalog Open House!  You will get your new catalog and be able to play with a few new products.

Pop N Cuts Traveller

Graduation?  Retirement?  Study Abroad?  This card has a long history and ended up looking absolutely nothing like the card at the beginning. I really like the Epic Day Designer Series paper and it became the focal point for everything else in the card.  The hexagons on the front were cut with my ecutter because I don’t have a hexagon punch – yet! (hint, hint)

And she’s off!  She has her bags packed, her maps and passport (yes, that’s a passport – or a book to read)  She’s mapped out her past or future travels and visited the travel agent. And she’s got her camera ready.

The map, Bon Voyage sign, airplane and arrow are from My Digital Studio.  The dots on the map were made with the tiniest circle on the Owl builder punch.

The luggage is all made with the Ticket punch.

The camera is the only thing left from the original card idea!  Ah well!

The travel brochure is also made with the ticket punch.  The map is My Digital Studio.  I decided to let the DSP speak for itself for the bottom of the card.  It was too pretty to cover up.

Where is your Pop N Cuts Dress Form gal headed this summer?

Supplies
Stamp Set – Word Play
card stock – Whisper White, Epic Day DSP, Chocolate Chip DSP, Island Indigo
Ink – Island Indigo, Calypso Coral, Crumb Cake
Etc – SU Pop N Cuts base, Dress Form framelit, Ticket punch, 1/4 square punch, Owl punch, 1/4 circle punch, My Digital Studio, Window Framelits

Now back to setting up for my New Catalog open house this Thursday!  I can’t believe it’s time for unveil the new book!  Come join us   Hugs, Fran

Lovely Door

Flowered wreath and a Pool Party – perfect for a bride.  I used the Door Opening and Wreath die to create a wedding card.  The “siding” on my house is created with the Stripe embossing folder and the wreath is the Flower Trim from the mini catalog that has been lightly inked with Pink Pirouette.

Inside is Love & Laughter in Not Quite Navy.

This is just a variation of the same card – with a Pool Party base.

I couldn’t decide which way I like the door opening so I tried it both ways.  The cake is stamped inside in Pool Party.

Then I did a Big Shot Fancy Favor box with a door on front  The Floral District Designer Series paper makes it bright and happy.  Perfect for a little gift

I used My Digital Studio to create the inside.

The “roof” is the opening for the box.  Here you can see how I made the wreath 3 layers to add some depth.

I cut out some flowers from the paper and added 2 half circle “thingies” (technical term) that go in a vase to hold flowers.  Surly there is a better word – but I don’t know what it is!

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Love & Laughter
Card stock – Pool Party, Whisper White, Melon Mambo, Pink Pirouette, Floral District DSP
Ink – Pool Party, Not Quite Navy, Melon Mambo, Pink Pirouette
Etc –  Fancy Favor Box, Striped embossing folder, Flower Trim, Door Opening and Wreath die, Scallop Edge punch, tangerine and Pink Pirouette ribbons

Wishing you Love & Laughter today!  Hugs, Fran

Uncle Sam Pop N Cuts

Let’s celebrate the 4th of July with a Pop N Cuts card!  Karen Burniston has put a really cute template on her blog made to fit the exclusive SU Dress Form Pop Up – and he’s soooo cute!  I used the Stampin Up base die to make the front – along with the Make a Wish stamp set and Glimmer Paper for some star dies.

And here he is – inviting everyone to celebrate with him   The free template makes is easy to put him together.

Since I was so shamelessly casing Karen’s card – I changed the background and the placement of Uncle Sam’s hat.

I used a piece of window sheet to pop up the stars behind him.  I just cut some small slits in the fold of the table to create another level to pop up.  The blue stars are really silver stars colored with Night of Navy reinker and a sponge dauber.

Supplies
Stamp Set – Make a Wish
card stock – Whisper White, Brights, Subtles and Neutrals paper packs, Silver and Red Glimmer papers
Ink – Night of Navy, Real Red
Etc – SU Pop N Cuts base and Dress Form insert, window sheet, Star die or punches. Uncle Sam template

So there you go – Uncle Sam wants YOU to create a Pop N Cut card!  Hugs, Fran

Sherbert Thanks

Doesn’t this look like sherbert?  These are the new In Colors – Strawberry Slush, Pistachio Pudding, Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana and Crisp Cantaloupe.  (Are you hungry yet?)  They are so pretty together!  I also used a sneak peek sentiment here

Obviously I still had my Stamp a Ma Jig out when I did this card!

Supplies
Stamp Set – Oh, Hello, Really Good Greetings (sneak peek!)
card stock – Whisper White, Crisp Cantaloupe (inside)
Ink – Strawberry Slush, Pistachio Pudding, Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana and Crisp Cantaloupe

That’s it!  No “etc” because it’s just one layer.  (I guess I could add Stamp A Ma jig!)  Hugs, Fran
