Ink – Basic Gray
Stampin Write Markers – Crushed Curry, Pear Pizzazz

Have a Lovely Day!  Hugs, Fran

You Make Me Happy Pivot

This must be my favorite suite of products in the mini catalog – Happy Watercolor and Designer Series paper that matches.  Here I used Karen Burniston’s Katie Label Pivot Pop It Up to make a card using the Watercolor Wonder DSP to show off the sentiment.

The paper has such pretty designs!  A pivot card is a nice way to show them off.  And I love polka dots so the Distressed Dots embossing folder was perfect here. (and it’s a Saleabration item!)

I even used it on the Pansy Punch!

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Happy Watercolor, Lots of Thanks
Card stock – Whisper White, Island Indigo, Gumball Green, Watercolor Wonder DSP
Stampin Write Markers – Gumball Green, Island Indigo
Etc – Katie Label Pivot Framelit, Pansy Punch, Candy Dots, Distressed Dots embossing folder (SA

This DSP is so pretty.  It might be my favorite piece in the package!  Hugs, Fran

Double High Lovely

Here’s something fun!  Karen Burniston did a video to make her Katie Label Pivot die twice as big and it’s a great way to show off beautiful DSP and fun stamps.  I used the Eastern Elegance Designer Series paper and the SAB set You’re Lovely to make this 5 x 7 card.

Here it is open and it’s amazingly pretty sturdy!  (Though the photograph is kind of wonky)

I added some Dazzling Detail to the flowers for just a touch of sparkle.

Supplies
Stamp Set – You’re Lovely
Card Stock – Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry, Whisper White, Eastern Elegance
Ink – Basic Gray
Stampin Write Markers – Crushed Curry, Pear Pizzazz
Etc – Pop It Up Katie Label die, Agatha Edges Framelit, Deco Label Framelit, Regal buttons, Epic Day Washi Tape, Baker’s twine

I hope you’ll try it and share what you make!  Hugs, Fran

See Ya Later Set

I used the note cards (131527) as a base to create a set of cards featuring the See Ya Later SAB set.  They look like an ice cream shop using the In Color Pattern Pack!  The easiest way to stamp the images is to ink the stamp in the color – and use a Basic Black Stampin Write marker to go over the words.  You get a nice, crisp image this way.

Supplies
Stamp Set – See Ya Later
Card stock – In Color Pattern Pack 2013-2015
Ink – In Colors
Etc – Basic Black Stampin Write Marker, Oval Framelits, Note Cards and Envelopes

That’s it!  Very easy and sweet.  Now I’m going to line the envelopes and finish this project.  Hugs, Fran

You’re Lovely

You’re Lovely and so are the people you care about.  So this pretty stamp set from the Sale abration catalog is perfect to send to anyone – and everyone.  I paired it with the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series paper and Island Indigo card stock.

Supplies
Stamp Set – You’re Lovely (SA
Card stock – Island Indigo. Sweet Sorbet DSP (SA
Stampin Write Markers – Island Indigo, Crisp Cantaloupe, Basic Black, Pool Party
Etc – Deco Label Framelits, Basic pearls

This DSP is lovely, too!  It is so fresh and spring looking and we could sure use a little spring right now!  Hugs, Fran

Saleabration Banner Blast

Sale abration starts today! And some of the free product available is the darling set Banner Blast – and a cute banner punch.  I cased the card above and then – just kept going to make a set!

The card base is the note cards from

To finish things off, I made a little box that will hold 4-5 of these cards.  It would have held more – but I used Dimensionals under all the banners!  (4 is a nice number for a set!)

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Banner Blast (SA, Just Saying
Card Stock – Notecards, Whisper White, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pool Party
Ink – Real Red, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pool Party, Jet Black Stazon
Etc – On Film Framelits, Candy Dots, Baker’s Twine (SA, Talk Bubble Framelits

Nothing like taking one idea and going crazy with it!  Thanks to the person who came up with the original card – I have searched all over the place to find it and have had no success.  Was it you?  Hugs, Fran

You Make Me Happy

Here’s another image from See Ya Later – a Sale a bration stamp set.  This one is on a Circle Thinlit card that I cut as an extended card.  I paired it with the SAB Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper.  To do the image, I inked the stamp in Crisp Cantaloupe and then used a Black Stampin Write Markers to go over part of the words.  I get a better image doing it this way.

I die cut the “thx” from the card leaving it as a see-through area of card.  Not a great idea.  The image has too many small pieces hanging down and was flimsy – so I added a piece of card stock behind it to give it more “oomph.”

The piece is die cut from the same Thinlit set – and then I stamped it!

Supplies
Stamp Sets – See Ya Later, Petite Pairs
card stock – Crisp Cantaloupe, Whisper White, Sweet Sorbet, Pistachio Pudding
Etc – Circle Thinlit, 2 1/2 circle punch, Candy Dot

And a big thanks to Lois who let me know that the sentiment from yesterday is from Simply Sketched!  Hugs, Fran

Petal Parade

Snow, snow, snow and freezing temperatures mean it’s time to break out Spring colors and look forward to Sale a Bration!  This is Petal Parade – a free set with a $50 purchase – and the technique is masking.  I stamped the 2 largest, solid images on post it notes and masked them off as I added the other colors.  (Start with the largest images and work your way down to the smallest)

The bottom of the card is embossed with Adorning Accents.  It adds a nice, subtle touch.

Supplies
Stamp Set – Petal Parade
Card Stock – Strawberry Slush, Whisper White, Basic Black
Ink – Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe, Strawberry Slush, Calypso Coral
Etc – Crisp Cantaloupe ribbon, Adorning Accents embossing folder, Basic Pearls

I can’t for the life of me figure out which set I used for the sentiment!  Does anyone recognize it?  Hugs, Fran

To make the cut out banner, I punched using the little banner punch and then just kept on punching until it was a long as I wanted.  Go slowly – you want a steady hand for this.  But it you have any little miss steps – the other banner covers them!

Supplies
Stamp Set – See Ya Later
Card stock – Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Sweet Sorbet DSP
Ink – Crisp Cantaloupe
Etc – Banner Framelit, banner punch, Sweet Sorbet Accessory pack

SAB starts on the 28th so you can grab your goodies too!  I’ll show you more tomorrow. Hugs, Fran

Spiral Roses

Let’s start with the card!  This card features the Spiral Rose die and the set Baby, We’ve Grown in the mini catalog.  I used 2 embossing folders (one is a Sale a bration item!) and kept the colors to Pink Pirouette and Whisper White.

Supplies
Stamp Set – Baby, We’ve Grown
Card stock – Whisper White, Pink Pirouette
Ink – Jet Black Stazon
Etc – Pink Pirouette Stampin Write Marker, Fancy Fan and Decorative Dots (SA embossing folders, Bigz Spiral Rose die, Heart Framelits, Bird punch

Now, on to the Spiral Rose die.  This might get a bit long, so just scroll if you want!

This is the die.  It’s a Bigz die so you can cuts lots of different materials – and several layers of card stock at once!  You start at the small end and roll it to the center.  I like to use a bamboo skewer to get it started.

Depending on how tight you roll it and how much of the spiral you use, you can get very different looks.  Starting from the left you see the full rose, (and using just half the spiral) the bottom half of the rose and the top half of the rose.

When making the tiniest rose (using the smaller half of the spiral) I add a little cup from the Boho Blossom punch.

This is the rose cut out of felt (and glued to a hair clip.)

Cork!

Designer Series paper.

Vellum Card stock.

To make the large rose shown on the card, add to Blossom punches underneath a spiral rose.

I used Dimensionals between the 2 punches.

If you’ve made it this far, congratulations and big hugs!  Tomorrow I’ll show you more projects made with the Spiral Rose Die.  Hugs, Fran
