Get Your Santa On

Get Your Santa On 01

Today’s the day you can start ordering from the Holiday Mini!  The Gift Box Punch Board (135863) is my favorite product in the catalog.  Here is a little box made with the Under the Tree Specialty Designer Series Paper and Get Your Santa on stamp set for the tag.  I used the Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities to color the Santa and Cherry Cobbler ink to stamp the “JOY” banner.  Tied up with new Cherry Cobbler Linen ribbon, you have a sweet package to hold your gift!  Have fun making your Holiday Mini List and checking it twice!  Your package is sure to be nice 🙂  Hugs, Fran

Ornamental Pine

Ornamental Pine 01

Isn’t this a pretty stamp set?  It’s called Ornamental Pine and will be available in two days in the Holiday Mini!  I used Lost Lagoon as the base, stamped the background with the pine several times and then embossed the pine and pinecone in white embossing powder.  To finish it off, I sprayed the entire card with shimmer spray.

Card stock – Lost Lagoon, Whisper White, Brushed Silver

Ink – Versamark, Lost Lagoon, Cherry Cobbler

Etc – white embossing powder, silver ribbon, shimmer spray

I think this will be one of my favorite stamp sets this season.  Hugs, Fran

25 Days

25 Days 01

Thinking about Christmas?  Or how about a birthday party?  These little Tiny Treat Boxes (135829) are 2 x 2 x 2 and can be used for lots of things.  Here I simply copied the idea on page 12 of the Holiday Mini.  I used the 25 Days stamp set and stacked them into a tree.  But I see lots of ideas for the boxes and stamp set.  This will be a great set for Project Life!  But for this project – it’s a Count Down to Christmas.  Now I have plenty of time to find things to fill it 🙂  Hugs, Fran

Mingle All the Way

Mingle All the Way 01

My favorite new thing in the Holiday Mini?  The Gift Box Punch Board of course!  This wonderful tool makes the cutest boxes is many sizes – the largest being 4 x 4.  Here I used the new Under the Tree Specialty Designer Series paper to create a Christmas box.  The paper is really heavy – perfect for these boxes! Around the sides I added trees.  There is a new punch in the mini that makes trees – but these were made with the banner punch.  I topped it off with the new Mingle All the Way stamp set and the Banner Framelits.

Supplies

Stamp Set – Mingle All the Way

Card stock – Under the Tree DSP, Whisper White. Garden Green DSP, Not Quite Navy

Ink – Jet Black Stazon

Joyful Christmas is one of the sets on the Christmas carry over list, and the list ends on August 27th!  So get it while you can!  This is an easy version of the card, stamped in Versamark and embossed in gold.  I added gold washi tape to give it some sparkle.

This was one of the most versatile sets in last year’s mini.  Don’t let it get away from you!  Hugs, Fran

Chilly and Hoppy

Chilly 03

Today is Challenge day for the Karen Burniston Design Team!  This month we were challenged to use the characters – Chilly, Hoppy and Poppy!  On this project I used Chilly to decorate a jar for gift giving.  There are 6 Chillies around this blue Bell jar and some sweet snowflakes from Karen’s Garden Bench die.  I added rhinestones so he could have some bling.

Chilly 03 detail

I used Stampin Up’s Oh My Goodies to make the label for the top which matches the  Deco Label Collection Framelits – that were designed by Karen!  Stamped in Real Red and then again in Basic Black, the center is punch with an oval punch and popped up.  I tied the rim with some Real Red cotton ribbon.  Then I filled the jar with peppermints!

Hoppy 03

Next I made a card using Stampin Up’s new In Colors and Flowerpot Designer Series paper. Again I used Oh My Goodies and the Deco Label Collection for the front. The edges of the card are done using two of Karen’s Agatha edges.

Hoppy 03 inside

And inside is Hoppy on Karen’s Lorna Label PopUp.  He’s sitting by his pond with a Stampin’ Up’s Just Sayin die cut with the Chalk Talk dies.  Hoppy comes with his own lily pad and flies!  I attached the flies to some fishing line and mounted them between the lily pads.

Hoppy 03 detail

The flower is from Stampin Up’s Flower Patch (that also has a matching Framelit set.)  Hoppy is done in Garden Green and Pear Pizzazz.  His “pond” is in Lost Lagoon.  Hope you are enjoying meeting the characters!  Check out the rest of the gang by visiting Karen’s Facebook page and seeing what the rest of the team has created!  And come back tomorrow to see what’s going on with Poppy!  Hugs, Fran

Gift Card Star

Bright & Beautiful 05

These gift card holders (136662) are so much fun to use!  The little fronts (3 7/8 x 3 7/8) are just the right size for cut embellishments.  I used the Distressed Dots embossing folder to make the background and then added embossed stars in White and Cherry Cobbler  embossing powder.  By tucking a little piece of Cherry Cobbler seam binding behind the front, this gift card holder can hang on a tree.
