Bright & Beautiful

Bright & Beautiful 04

Bright & Beautiful is a new set in the upcoming Holiday Mini – and it’s available as a bundle right now with the Big Shot and Bundles promotion!  This is a card I did using it and the new Under the Tree Specialty Designer Series paper.  This paper is so heavy it easily holds it own as a card base.  However – stamping on the design side did not show up as intended!

Bright & Beautiful 04 detail

I should have used some Whisper White to make the sentiment visible.

Supplies

Stamp Set – Bright & Beautiful

Card stock – Under the Tree DSP, Early Espresso

Ink – Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso

Etc – Burlap ribbon, pearls, Star Framelits

I share some more cards using this set this week!  Hugs, Fran

Work of Color

Another Thank You 04

Bold and bright new In Colors splashed all over a card!  I used Work of Art for the background and Another Thank You on the front.

Supplies

Stamp Sets – Work of Art, Another Thank You

Card stock – Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White, Lost Lagoon

Ink – Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, Tangelo Twist

Etc – Tangelo Twist ribbon, small heart punch, rhinestone

I love how opaque these colors are.  Hugs, Fran

Polka Dot Pieces Case

Polka Dot Pieces 01

This is a catalog case of one of my favorite cards shown in the new catalog.  (page 139)  I followed the example with the exception of the bottom treatment.  I did stitch along the card stock – but mine is a separate piece that I adhered later.  I also went with a more symmetrical look on the bottom piece.  Love it!  I love the Crumb Cake card stock with foil vellum and glitter.  Just an off-beat look.  My ribbon is darker than the sample because I took the Blushing Bride ribbon and ran it over my Crisp Cantaloupe ink pad.

Supplies

Stamp Sets – Polka Dot Pieces

Card stock – Crumb Cake , Crisp Cantaloupe, Foil Vellum, Pistachio Pudding, Whisper White, Gold Glimmer

Ink – Baked Brown Sugar, Pistachio Pudding

Etc – Butterfly punch, 1/4″ hole punch, scallop circle punch, Banner Framelits, Blushing Bride ribbon, sewing machine, Large Dot embossing folder, rhinestone

One more Wow

Everything Eleanor 03

This card is the last (for now) of the Wow projects that I started showing here.  For this one I used Modern Mosaic on the Glimmer paper and the Pool Party.  The sentiment is from Everything Eleanor and the photopolymer stamp set Bravo.

Supplies

Stamp Sets – Everything Eleanor, Bravo

Card stock – Pool Party, Silver Glimmer, Whisper White

Ink – Versamark, Pool Party, Island Indigo

Etc – Modern Mosaic embossing folder, rhinestones, Pool Party embossing powder

Silver on Silver

DSCN6556

Another Double embossing card, this time using Silver on Silver.  Isn’t it pretty?  I can’t for the life of me remember which set the “Thank You” came from – do you know? Oops – it’s Four You!

DSCN6557

The little roses are made with the 2 3/8″ scallop circle punch and the leaves are the from Bird punch.

Supplies

Stamp Set – Four You

Card stock – Brushed Silver, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White

Ink – Versamark

Etc – Fan  and Beautifully Baroque embossing folders, 2 3/8 Scallop Circle, Pink Pirouette ribbon, Silver embossing folder, Bird punch, Oval Framelit

This one would be a pretty wedding card.  Hugs, Fran

Sparkle Flowers

Million and One 04

This is the same technique as here – using a card layout by Dawn Olchefske – with a lot of sparkle.  For this one I used the Modern Mosaic embossing folder and Pool Party embossing powder.  I added this pretty bit of bling to both sides of the card flap.  This card design has half of the front cut away to make a beautiful gate opening.

Supplies

Stamp Sets – Flower Shoppe, Petitie Petals, Million and One

Card stock – Pool Party, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer

Ink – Versamark, Pink Pirouette

Etc – Modern Mosaic embossing folder, Pansy Punch, Petitie Petal punch, Pool Party and Silver embossing powders, rhinestones

The Modern Mosaic looks like a garden lattice!  Hugs, Fran

Perfect Pennants Wow

Perfect Pennants 05

This summer I did a “wow” presentation at a group get together using embossing folders and heat embossing.  This idea was inspired by a conversation with Lisa Tedder.  I brayered over the Chevron embossing folder with Versamark and then ran Silver Glimmer paper through the Big Shot.  Immediately pour embossing powder (I used the now retired Melon Mambo on this one) over the embossing and heat emboss.  You get a  beautiful background!  Double embossing!

Supplies

Stamp Set – Perfect Pennant

Card stock – Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer

Ink – Versamark, Melon Mambo

Etc – Chevron embossing folder, rhinestones, silver ribbon, Melon Mambo and Silver embossing powders, Pennant Framelits.

Sparkly!  Hugs, Fran

I Like You

I Like You 01

I lIke You is a hostess set that is perfect for using your Blendabilities!  I was playing around with them and decided to put them on the Circle Frame card done in Whisper White.  Except they bleed through (which they are suppose to do!) so I had to do some backing.  This actually worked out well, giving the Whisper White some extra support.

Hey There Buds

Hey There Buds 01

This card was made for a challenge from a friend of mine.  We were talking on the phone about families and I mentioned a game that my Grandmother used to like when she was a child called “Come as You Are.”  She would call her friends early in the morning and tell the to come over exactly as they were at the moment and they would have a breakfast party.  (Does not sound fun to me!)  We decided to do a “Stamp as You Are” challenge and you could only use what was on your desk at that moment.  I didn’t cheat!  I had Dotty Angles and Hey There Buds (not even mounted!) on my desk and some scraps of card stock – this is what I came up with for this silly game 🙂

Supplies

Stamp Sets – Dotty Angles, Hey There Buds

Card stock – Island Indigo, Whisper White, Pool Party

Ink – Island Indigo, Pool Party, Daffodil Delight

Etc – Regal buttons, Baker’s Twine, Regal Candy dots

The background was done by stamping Dotty Angles in Pool Party and then stamping over it – slightly off – with Island Indigo.  So call someone and play your own challenge game (but not too early, please!)  Hugs, Fran
