Category: Framelit Dies

Pretty Scrap

This is the (retired) Attic Boutique DSP with a Soft Sued background and block.  (And some cute pictures of my youngest!)

The top left square used the Pennant Punch, Blossom Party die and Beautiful Wings embosslit.  The sewing was done on the block.

Down the center is the Lace Ribbon punch (retired) and some butterflies from the Beautiful Butterflies die.  The heart at the top of the page pulls up for the journaling.

Apothecary Art and Family Reunion make up the title – die cut with the Labels Collection Framelit.  The rose is a circle that is cut in a spiral and wrapped like a rose.  The heart is 5 heart punches stacked together to create some depth.  Missing those heart trinkets!  Lots of fun!  Enjoy – Hugs, Fran

Casing the Catalog 6

Do you just love the sample using Christmas Deer on page 18 of the catalog?  It uses Petite Pairs for the sentiment but mine was out on the classroom table being used for stamp club so I used More Merry Messages instead.

Stamp Sets – Christmas Deer, More Merry Messages
card stock – Real Red, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White
Ink – Versamark, Real Red
Etc – Iridescent Ice embossing powder, Silver embossing powder, Basic pearls, Curly Label and Dotted Scallop Ribbon punches, Apothecary Accents Framelit die, Petals a Plenty embossing folder

Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Step it Up

A stepped up version of this card –

There was one packet for this card left after stamp club so I played with it.  I added a Real Red layer, some embossing and a different sentiment.  (Just had to play with the new Framelit die!)

Stamp Set – Itty Bitty Banners
card stock – Whisper White, Real Red, Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper
Ink – Real Red
Etc – Blossoms punch, Bright button, Baker’s Twine, corner rounder, Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder, Bitty Banner Framelit

Which one is your favorite?  CAS or stepped up?  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Casing the Catalog

There are so many great samples in the new 2012-2013 catalog!  And while I don’t own very many of the new stamps set (yet!) I have still been casing the samples.  The card above is cased from page 39 – but I used Apothecary Art and a retired congratulations to make this card.  It’s a 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 card made from a window sheet (5 1/4 x 10 1/2 scored at 5 1/2) and instead of the Basic Grey they used in the catalog sample, I used Brushed silver.
Stamp set – Apothecary Art
card stock – Brushed Silver, Whisper White, Brights Patterns, Neutral Patterns, window sheet
Ink – Versamark
Etc – Square Scallop die, Itty bitty shapers punches, Brights brads, Daffodil Delight seam binding, Basic Pearls, Silver embossing powder, Apothecary Accents Framelits, Big Shot
Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Mouthwatering in French

This card is cased from a card Mary Brown did – except for the sentiment.  I needed something is french and since my stamps are limited in french – I had to match an idea with what I had.  This is (loosely)  translated as “Just for you so you don’t have to share.”

Stamp set – Mouthwatering, Arriere-pensees
card stock – Whisper White, Lucky Limeade
Ink – Melon Mambo, Lucky Limeade, Chocolate Chip
Etc – Dotted embossing folder, Labels Framelit die, Melon Mambo dotted ribbon

Don’t forget to add your Retiring List guesses to this post for a chance to win some Blog Candy! Enjoy – Hugs, Fran

Wisteria Birthday

This is one of the cards that I gave my daughter for her birthday.  She had a beautiful cake with big purple bow on it – and this was to go with that idea.

Stamp set – Apothecary Art
card stock – Wisteria Wonder, watercolor paper, Very Vanilla
Ink – Jet Black Stazon, Wisteria Wonder, Lucky Limeade, Elegant Eggplant, crumb Cake
Etc – Victorian Lace, Very Vanilla satin ribbon, Framelits Label dies, Hat pin, Itty Bitty punch, Edgelit die, large pearls, aquapainter

Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Fresh Vintage pleat

I tried pleating card stock to make an additional detail on this card. See what you think –

I used the smooth Very Vanilla card stock – but this set looks even better on textured Very Vanilla or Whisper White.  It gives it a kind of cross stitched look.  The pleats are okay – but not very stable.  I used a 1/4 inch pleat – maybe try an 1/8 inch.  (I’m my own critic today!)

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Fresh Vintage, Elementary Elegance
card stock – Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Everyday Enchantment DSP, In Colors Pattern Paper pack
Ink – Early Espresso
Stampin Write Markers – Calypso Coral, Pear Pizzazz, Peach Parfait
Etc – Framelits Label dies, Scallop Trim border punch, Simply Scored, Basic Pearls, Sticky Strip, Petals a Plenty embossing folder

Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Blue Bird

On a training video, SU showed a card using the new Heart Framelit dies.  I cased it!  I love cards with lots of “stuff” on them- and this one suits the bill!

Do you see the Dazzling Diamonds on the Calypso Coral card stock?

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Take it to the Heart, Loving Thoughts, En Fracaise
card stock- watercolor paper, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze, Calypso Coral
Ink – Calypso Coral, Soft Sude, Lucky Limeade,Baja Breeze, Jet Black Stazon
Etc – Dazzling Diamonds, Baja Seam binding, Victorian Lace, Framelit Hearts die, Petals a Plenty and Square Lattice embossing folders, Basic pearls, Vintage Trinkets pin, aquapainter, Top Note die, Lace Ribbon Border punch, sponge dauber

Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Soft Support

I found a card on Stampin Connections by Yvette Ashe that I love – love the set, love the colors, love the layout.  So I cased it!  I changed just a few small things – added a butterfly, added some Attic Boutique DSP and some color – but kept everything else.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Rue des Fleur, Tiny Tags
card stock – Whisper White, Pool Party, Attic Boutique DSP
Ink – Soft Suede
Stampin Write Marker – Pool Party
Etc – Adorning Accents Labels Framelits, Pool Party seam binding, Embosslit Beautiful Wings, 3/4″ circle punch, Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, Basic pearls

The consensus is that Rue des Fleur means  “Street of Flowers.”  Thanks to Melannie and Shannon who sent me translations.  Believe it or not, I’m actually taking a beginning French class so you may see a few french sentiments in the future.  Samantha is in AP French 5 so I occasionally buy sets in french for her.  (I just can’t read them!)  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran
