The May Creative Circle Blog Hop is a Mother’s Day card.

My card is a 5 x 5 1/2 base.  (When I want a larger card I simply check on the Envelope Punch Board to make sure I can easily create a matching envelope.)  I started by stamping and masking the flower down the left side of a piece of watercolor paper, plus one extra flower.  I watercolored them using a Clear Wink of Stella brush, Delightful Dijon, Crushed Curry, So Saffron and Cajun Craze ink.

After the flowers dried, I fussy cut just the left side, trimmed the watercolor paper to fit the card and adhered it over the patterned paper.  The paper on the left side is from It’s My party Designer Series paper pack.  I stamped the sentiment on Crushed Curry, attached it to the front and added the single flower on a Dimensional.  Then I coated the centers with Crystal Effects.

I added another piece of DSP to the inside of the card.

Creative Circle April Blog Hop -#Imbringingbirthdaysback

Creative-Circle-Blog-Hop-Resized

In honor of Shannon West’s (from Stampin Up) campaign – I’m Bring Birthday’s back – this month’s Creative Circle Blog Hop is a darling, perpetual calendar!

Creative Circle 4:2016 group

The box has two cubes that can be rotated for the days of the month (remember that the 6 is also the 9), a flip top for the months, and a space int he back to hold your birthday cards so you can actually mail them out!  (I am the worse!)

Creative Circle 4:2016 side

I used the Whisper White Heavy card stock and the It’s My Party Designer Series Paper Pack to make mine.  This paper stack has 48 sheets of double sided paper in it!  My balloons on the front are from Balloon Celebration and are punched out with the matching Balloon Bouquet Punch.

Creative Circle 4:2016 Rose Wonder

This card uses the bow from the Cutie Pie Thinlit, more It’s My Party paper and the Elegant Dot embossing folder.

Creative Circle 4:2016 Picture Perfect

This card uses the Picture Perfect stamp set and Blushing Bride.

Creative Circle 4:2016 Happy Birthday Everyone

And last, but not least, this card uses the Bokeh technique.  You can find it on Splitcoast here.

12804719_1119026001481785_4349800221360492000_n

This is a special blog hop!  In April, the Creative Circle Team will be doing a Make the Rounds class the day before the Stampin Up On Stage event in Salt Lake City AND doing a Kit To Go option.   Here’s a sneak peek of the class.  It includes the box and 3 cards-

This is the card holder/box for the class.

For this month’s challenge  I’m going to show you an alternate way to use the kit from the upcoming class.

Creative Circle March 2016 04

For this design I used the box, fence and grass from the kit. The Birthday Bouquet Designer Series paper is from the Occasions Mini The eggs are made with the Oval Framelits.  This is the side view –

Creative Circle March 2016 02

The “flaps” are only attached on the bottom so the box opens like this –

Creative Circle March 2016 03

I used a small piece of velcro to close the top of the box.  Here’s another design –

Creative Circle March 2016 05

The stamp set is Balloon Celebration from the Occasions Mini.  I used the Balloon Bouquet punch for the balloons.  It opens the same way.

Welcome to February’s Creative Circle Blog Hop.  This month is all about hearts.    Groovy Kind of Love 01

Creative Circle January You’ve Got Mail and Give Away

10458438_1076423485742037_8593387562599901650_n

This month’s Creative Circle Challenge is You’ve Got Mail – a darling mailbox perfect for Valentine’s Day.  Here’s my first mailbox!

Creative Circle January 2016 03

My card holding mailbox is made from Melon Mambo card stock and the Brights Designer Series Paper Stack.  The lid and flap are done with stencil paste and the Hearts and Stars Decorative Mask.

No Bones About It 06

My cards that fit inside the mailbox are made with No Bones About It.  The mailbox easily holds (3) 3 x 3 cards and (3) 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 cards.

No Bones About It 05

These cards were inspired by an “x-ray” card I saw on Splitcoast by Janet Holmes.  I thought the idea was so cute!

No Bones About It 01

The little 3 x 3’s fit through the opening under the flap.

Creative Circle January 2016 04

Then I switched gears and made a mailbox without the card dividers inside and a window sheet over the opening to hold candy.

Creative Circle Jan 2016 01

For this one, I used Sweet Lil’ Things Designer Series paper and the sentiment from the Occasions Mini set – Greatest Greetings.  I punched hearts from every punch I could dig up in my craft room!  They are glittered with Dazzling Details.

Creative Circle January 2016 02

So now you can choose – cards or treats – or mix it up a bit and do both!

Goodbye 2015

PIU Farm Animals all front

It is true that the older I get, the faster the years fly by!  This has been a fun year – full of Stampin Up, Pop It Ups, Copics, 3-D and lots and lots (and lots) of paper.  Thought I’d share a few favorites from 2015 and get ready for 2016.  The card above was a favorite Pop It Ups.  Love the animals – love creating scenes.  Love what’s coming 🙂

2CuteInk Scarecrow 01

I’ve had fun with my Copic markers.  The image above is form 2CuteInk.  I’ve traveled to classes, work online over at Kit and Clowder, and just really enjoy the “coloring craze!”

Creative Circle September 2015

Then there’s 3-D with the Creative Circle.  These have been lots of fun and there’s more to look forward to in 2016.

And FRIENDS!  That is what has made this year the best!  All the people who play with me in my classroom and all the people I play with online.  That’s the best of 2015.

So looking forward to 2016.  SAB starts soon – the best fun of Stampin UP!

SAB Hello 02

Wishing you the best of times in the New Year!  Hugs, Fran

Counting the Days

Creative Circle Advent Tree

I can’t believe I forgot to show you this yesterday!  This Christmas Countdown tree was part of our Creative Circle group for yesterday’s Blog Hop!  I made mine with Always Artichoke card stock and Home for Christmas Designer Series paper.  My base is a box lid 🙂  I thought I’d use the entire box – but it seemed too tall.  All the numbers were done in My Memories Suite and punched out with a 3/4 circle punch.

Creative Circle Advent Tree detail

I hot glued Christmas ornaments in-between the boxes – very random.  Use hot glue because it will allow you to angle the Christmas balls up off of the boxes.

Creative Circle Advent Tree top

I topped it off with a wooden star!

Glad I remembered that I forgot to share this!  Hugs, Fran

Creative Circle December Blog Hop

12241599_1062004937183892_4569394768933400197_n

Welcome to the Creative Circle December Blog Hop.  This month we did a darling box that holds a pop up gift card!

Creative Circle December 2015

I used the absolutely beautiful Gold Foil paper, Winter Specialty Designer Series paper and the Jolly Christmas stamp set.  It’s so shiny!

Creative Circle December 2015 open

I used a Starbucks gift card and filled my box with some special coffee lovers treats – and an ornament.  This will make a sweet gift.  It’s really fun how the gift card pops up!

Creative Circle December 2015 detail

My insert is also made with the Gold Foil – and it has a good “heft” for this project!.  You can find the pattern and tutorial here.

Creative Circle October Blog Hop

12037992_1037765192941200_3504039905526456546_n

This month, Liz has created a Halloween Haunted House file!  It’s a cute decoration that has plenty of room for at least 3 cards.

Creative Circle October 2015 full

I made it up with the Haunt Ya Later stamp set and Happy Haunting Designer Series paper.  Here’s the house, with the sweet vampire at the door.  The ghosts are cut from the DSP.

Creative Circle October 2015

My cards are all shakers.  After doing this card, I couldn’t resist doing more!  The shaker piece is cut using the Deco Label Collection and filled with sequins, stars and more of that glitter thread stuff (technical term!)

Haunt Ya Later 05

I cut a spider web doily into quarters (just like the Haunted House) and used the pieces inside of the shakers.

Haunt Ya Later 06

Haunt Ya Later 07

You can purchase the pattern here and/or leave a comment here for a chance to win a cut out kit of your own.  What was your favorite Halloween costume?  Winner announced in 2 weeks.

I have several favorite costumes – my children have always loved to dress up.  But the most unique costume was the year my youngest went as a pin cushion.  I’ll have to find a picture 🙂

Now hop on over to see the other creations on this blog hop!  You don’t want to miss it!
