I make lots of caramel corn at this time a year so I save tall tins and decorate them.  Then I can package the caramel corn in a large cello bag and that’s that!

  1. And where’s the recipe?

Just kidding but I do love the container. Very cute. Is that a saved oatmeal box or something you bought? Cause that’s a good idea too. Thanks for all the great ideas you’ve been putting out there.

  2. Here it is!

    6 cups popped popcorn
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 cup butter
    2 tablespoons light corn syrup
    1/2 teaspoon of salt
    1/4 teaspoon baking soda
Place the popcorn in a large, microwave safe bowl.  In a 4 cup microwave safe measuring cup, combine brown sugar, butter, corn syrup and salt.  Microwave on high for 2 minutes.  Stir.  Microwave on High for 2-3 more until the mixture comes to a rolling boil.  Stir in baking soda and mix well.  Pour over the popcorn and toss until coated.  Microwave on high for 2 minutes.  Immediately spread on parchment paper to cool.  Yummy!
(And this tin is a Pirouette cookie tin – another yummy!)  Hugs, Fran
  3. Thanks. Sounds quick in the microwave. I’ve only ever tried it, stirring to a soft boil and then stirring for an hour in the oven. This is definitely worth a try. Thanks sooo much.
