Whitewashing

The Splitcoast tutorial yesterday was Whitewashing.  This is an updated version of a technique using White Craft ink – so pretty!  I decided to try it but instead of painting the inside of the flowers with White Craft ink, I used the Chalk Marker (132133).

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Flower Shop, Think Spring
Cardstock – Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Ink – Versamark, Jet Black Stazon, Rose Red, White Craft ink
Etc – Chalk Marker, Natural 5/8″ Chevron Ribbon, Regal Candy Dots, aquapainter

And don’t forget that you only have a few more days left to get the Free Markers when you sign up for Paper Pumpkin!  Click on the picture to read the details.  It’s a fun crafting escape each month – and just keeps getting better.  Hugs, Fran

Birthday File

This is a file folder card made with the Envelope Punch Board.  I found several videos on YouTube showing how to make these – and they are really fun (and fast!)  I used some Strawberry Slush and the Kaleidoscope Designer Series paper to make the folder.  The best tip that I can offer is that it is easier to adhere the DSP before you punch the top of the card.

Supplies
Stamp Ssets – Birthday Cake, Perfectly Penned
Cardstock – Strawberry Slush, Whisper White, Bermuda Bay, Basic Black, Kaleidoscope DSCP
Ink – Jet Black Stazon
Stampin Write Markers – Strawberry Slush, Basic Black, Crushed Curry
Etc – 2 1/2 circle punch, Neutral Candy Dots, Hardware Clip Essentials

I think this would be a great card for a teen or young adult – maybe for someone just starting a job.

And to top it off, it’s snowing again!  Hugs, Fran

Easter Dress

Feeling very springy today – even if it snows.  This card base is the exclusive SU Pop N Cuts Base and Sweet Sorbet Designer Series paper.  The tag was made with the Scallop Tag Topper punch.  The words are from Blessings From Heaven.  I masked off sections and made the sentiment tighter so that it would fit on the tag.

And here she is with her Easter Eggs.  The eggs were done with the small oval punch.  I punched them and then put them on a sticky note back into the punch so they would have a more “egg” shape.

Stamp Sets – Blessings From Heaven, Petal Parade
Card stock – Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, Whisper White, Sahara Sand, Sweet Sorbet DSP
Ink – Jet Black Stazon, Crisp Cantaloupe
Etc – SU Pop N Cuts base and Dress Form insert, small and medium oval punches, Oval Framelits, Pistachio Pudding ribbon, pearls, Scallop Tag Topper punch, Doilie tape, Itty Bitty Shapes punch

The photo quality isn’t great – sorry.  The Crisp Cantaloupe seemed to “glow” while I was taking pictures.  Hugs, Fran

I found a sticker in my box of stuff in the closet!  A cute, little owl that needed to be on a card.  I think I bought these last year for a sorority thing – and now he’s sitting in a tree on a card.  The flower is a button.  I used my craft scissors to cut off the shank and glued it down.

I love the Hardwood background stamp.  Here’s hoping to see it in the big catalog come June!  Hugs, Fran

Add On Washi Tape

What to do with the left over piece from this card?  Use it on another card, of course!  The bright colors spoke “tulips” to me so I used part of Blessed Easter.

Supplies
Stamp Set – Blessed Easter
Cardstock – Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo
Ink – Jet Black Stazon
Stampin Write Markers – Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo
Etc – left over die cut!

Very simple – but nice, bright colors.   Hugs, Fran

Washi Tape

Here’s something a little bit different (for me!)  I simple=y took some Gingham Garden washi tape and stuck it across a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of Whisper White cardstock.  Then I die cut the center with an Elizabeth Craft Designs die and put a piece of Melon Mambo behind it.  (I also tried to stick all the little pieces from the center of the letter back into the image – that didn’t work out so well!)  Now I’m off to try some other dies and see what I get!  I do love the colors in this washi tape – so bright and happy!   Just some fun for Friday – Hugs, Fran

Still wishing for spring!  This Circle Label Framelit card features the cute, cute butterfly and the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series paper.  There are only 10 days left to grab this DSP!  I found a new “pairing” of sentiments that I really like.  The sentiment on the front is from Too Kind and the inside is from Really Good Greetings.
