This picture does not even come close to showing how sparkly this little tree is in real life – but here you go! To do this one I stacked pages torn from a book (that same poor dictionary!) and stacked them on a bamboo skewer. The pages were torn – instead of cut. I made cardboard squares from the backing of a DSP pack as a template from 3 1/2″ down to 1″ and put a cardboard layer between every 3 pages.
When I was satisfied with the stack I sprayed the tree with spray adhesive and rolled it in glitter. The cardboard layers helped support the pages during this step. The base is a wooden spool wrapped in Champagne Glimmer paper. The topper is a small ornament that is hot glued to the very point of the skewer. I’m creating a glitter forest around here! Hugs, Fran
Love your tree. thanks for the inspiration.
Love it Fran!
This is wonderful – and can imagine how glittery and snow like it is….TFS!
