Playful Piggy

Here’s the last little – dancing around my card!  As you can see, I used the Playful Background and Diagonal Stripe in a different layout for this one.  And yes, I used Crystal Effects on the little bubbles in the background – can’t help it!

So here’s my pink pig group!  Too much fun!  Hugs, Fran

Sparkle Birthdays

Happy sparkly birthday!  The background was inspired by Kristina Werner and is a Stamping Up mask inked in Pink Pirouette, Rose Red and Wisteria Wonder.  Then I went over it again in pearl embossing paste.  Beautiful – then I dropped it!  And like the proverbial bread and butter, it landed face down.  So I covered the entire thing in Dazzling Diamonds – and loved it!

The sentiment and balloons are from Balloon Adventures.  The sentiment is heat embossed in silver and the balloons are stamped and then the stripes and dots are stamped with a glue pad and covered with Dazzling Diamonds.  Hugs, Fran

Love You

Valentines Day?  Yep!   This card is made with the new Hexagon Dynamic Textured embossing folder and the “love” from Sunshine Wishes framelits.  The heart was was cut from the Sweet & Sassy Framelits in Glimmer paper.  I sponged on ink – Real Red, Melon Mambo and Pink Pirouette onto water color paper and then embossed it.  The love was cut from Black card stock and then fun foam, layered together and covered in Glossy Accents.  Very simple.  Hugs, Fran

Weather Together Shaker

Weather Together 01

Let’s shake up the weather!  This card uses Weather Together as a Shaker card.  I started by die cutting a circle and used the adhesive foam strips around the circle to make the holder for the sequins.  The easiest way to do this is to remove the paper from both sides of the strips.  Then it goes around any shape without any cutting or stress.  Add a window sheet to the back and stamp your sentiment in Stazon.  Stamp and die cut the umbrella and place it on top.  Use more adhesive foam strips around the edge of the front piece and adhere it to your card base.

Then shake it!  So cute and easy!  Hugs, Fran

Karen Burniston Designer Challenge – Stretch it Out

PIU ROcky the Crab 01 front

This challenge is Stretch it Out – which means accordion albums to me!  I chose the Pop It Up Rectangular Accordion die and Rocky the Crab along with Stampin Up’s By the Shore Designer Series paper.

I used Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter on Very Vanilla card stock for the sand.  The “Thanks” dangling from the top is stamped on both sides so you can read it open or closed.  I also used Pop It Ups Palm Tree and Pail, Oval Pull Card, and Props 3 to create the different scenes.

The sentiment is Stampin Up’s Thankful Thoughts.  Don’t you wish you could stretch out summer like an accordion?  Check Karen’s Facebook page to see all the Stretch it Out designs!  Hugs, Fran

This set was one I really wanted – Pineapple!  It’s large.  The image is 5 1/4″ tall so it’s considered a background stamp.  I did the coloring with sponges.  I sponged Crushed Curry on the fruit and edged it with Delightful Dijon.  On the leaves, I sponged Old Olive and then edged it in Garden Green.  *I will reverse that on the next one!!

The sentiment is from Pop of Paradise.  And the background paper is from the In Color paper pack.  Hugs, Fran

The best thing about this design is that all 3 cards are made from just 3 pieces of scrap card stock.  You simply stamp the design 3 times, cut the different pieces out and reassemble in 3 different color combos.  It’s like a puzzle.
