Sparkle Flowers

Million and One 04

This is the same technique as here – using a card layout by Dawn Olchefske – with a lot of sparkle.  For this one I used the Modern Mosaic embossing folder and Pool Party embossing powder.  I added this pretty bit of bling to both sides of the card flap.  This card design has half of the front cut away to make a beautiful gate opening.

Supplies

Stamp Sets – Flower Shoppe, Petitie Petals, Million and One

Card stock – Pool Party, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer

Ink – Versamark, Pink Pirouette

Etc – Modern Mosaic embossing folder, Pansy Punch, Petitie Petal punch, Pool Party and Silver embossing powders, rhinestones

The Modern Mosaic looks like a garden lattice!  Hugs, Fran

Another Lattice Card

Here’s another example of the Lattice die using the full die cut.  The outer die cut is the Window Frame Framelit.  It uses the same supplies as this card – just a variation (since this die has now come out of hiding!)  The tutorial for this card was featured in my newsletter yesterday.  You could also stamp the sentiment on the inside if you just wanted to showcase the die cuts.

Supplies
Stamp Set – Lots of Thanks, Petite Petals
Card stock – Whisper White, Watercolor Wonder DSP
Ink – Crushed Curry, Crisp Cantaloupe
Etc – Lattice die, Window Frame Framelits, Petite Petal punch, Bird Punch, Large pearl , Mosaic embossing folder

I hope you’ll try mixing and matching your dies and Framelits – you might create a masterpiece!  Hugs, Fran

Million and One

This simple card makes a nice impact.  Grab your Color Coach and pick a color and a neutral that you like together and then one color that is either darker or lighter than your neutral.  For this card I used Bermuda Bay, Soft Suede and Early Espresso.  Bermuda Bay and Soft Suede (I stamped off the Soft Suede to make it softer) are down the side using Gorgeous Grunge and the sentiment is in Early Espresso.  Each Petite Petal flower has a rhinestone in the center.

The color combo here is Pink Pirouette, Smokey Slate (stamped off) and Basic Gray with pearls in the center.  To round the bottom corners, I used the Envelope Punch Board.  It’s much easier to use than the corner punch.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Million and One, Petite Petals, Gorgeous Grunge
Cardstock – Whisper White
Ink – Pink Pirouette, Smokey Slate, Basic Gray or Bermuda Bay, Soft Suede, Early Espresso
Etc – Petite Petals punch, rhinestones/pearls, Envelope Punch Board

I lined the insides with Pink Pirouette or Bermuda Bay and Whisper White – which makes the card more finished and sturdy.  Hugs, Fran

The Size of the Flower

Here are two cards – same layout – different size middle flower.  The both “work” but which one do you like the best?  They are done on a notecard size card (3 1/2 x 5) and use Petite Petals (smallest), Flower Shop (medium) and the bottom one uses Mixed Bunch in the middle.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Petite Petals, Flower Shop, Mixed Bunch
Card stock – note card, Whisper White
Ink – Crisp Cantaloupe, Pool Party, Real Red
Etc – Pansy punch, Blossom punch, Petite Petal Punch, Rhinestone

So what do you think?  Hugs Fran
