Sneak Peek Pop N Cuts

Okay, that’s not too sneaky!  That’s Bootiful Occasions.  But when you open it –

you see something fun!  I LOVE cards that pop and you will love the new Pop N Cuts Dress form dies in the Spring Mini!  I didn’t even unpack my box of “goodies” – I just grabbed these dies and started making a Mrs. Claus scene.  I did add a few popping bases for the presents on the floor and the package and hat on the mantle – but this die is so easy. We are going to have a fun spring

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Bootiful Occasions, Petite Pairs
card stock – Cherry Cobbler, Snow Festival DSP, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer, Basic Black
Ink- Cherry Cobbler, Jet Black Stazon
Etc – Pop N Cuts base and Dress Form dies (coming soon!),  Oval Framelits (coming soon!) Large Bird Punch, Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack, Itty Bitty Labels punch pack, Cherry Cobbler seam binding, Scallop Border punch, rhinestones, Dazzling Diamond, silver ribbon, Scallop Circle punch, 1/2″ circle punch

Christmas Petal Cone

This is one of the boxes (could you call this a box?) we will be making at my Gift Boxes class in December.  It’s made with the Petal Cone and Snow Flurry die.  I had a hard time getting the Bashful Blue to photograph and still look Bashful.  There are lots of sweet little details on this pouch, but the photo just would not cooperate with me.  Hugs, Fran

A Punch in the Middle

I saw this quick and cute idea in a card magazine – using a punch negative to make the focal point – and knew the Blossom punch would work for this.  It’s backed with the wonderful Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper to make it pop.

Stamp Set – Petite Pairs
card stock – Whisper White, Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper
Ink – Real Red
Etc – Blossoms punch, Bright button, Baker’s Twine, corner rounder

Hint – adhere the DSP to the card front and pop up the punched layer using Dimensionals.  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

So Glad You’re Here

I spent the other day combing through sentiments looking for something that would welcome a new person to a group I’m in.  The one I chose is actually a baby sentiment  from Petite Pairs – So glad you’re here.  The card is from the entire group so I made it a 6 x 6 and used Aviary to create a “group setting.”

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Aviary, Petite Pairs
card stock- More Mustard, Not Quite Navy, Whisper White,Cherry Cobbler, Elegant Eggplant
Ink – Jet Black Stazon, More Mustard, Cherry Cobbler, Elegant Eggplant, Not Quite Navy
Etc – small oval punch, Cherry Cobbler seam binding, Word Window punch, large pearls, Itty Bitty Shapes punch, Basic Pearls

Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Tags and Sneak Peek

I tend to give lots of gift cards to my teenage nieces and nephew.  It’s just easier for that age group- LOTS easier!  You can use the Big Shot Petite Pocket die to wrap up gift cards in a snap!

This is so easy – die cut the Petite Pocket (I used the glitter dots from Holly Berry Bouquet) and adhere a very thin strip down of Real Red down the middle.  Add a Real Red satin bow and a Crumb Cake tag stamped with Dear Santa – and you’ve got a cute gift card holder.  Almost makes me feel guilty – it’s so easy!  Here’s a note – I do not adhere the sides of the pocket together when using it for gift tags.  A brad on the back holds the holder together just fine.  You can adhere it if you want – it’s just a bit snug that way and if that’s what you’re going for – it works!

And a sneak peek – Bordering on Romance from the upcoming Occasions Mini.  (I just had to stop and play with new stuff!)

Supplies
Stamp sets – Bordering on Romance, Petite Pairs
card stock- Pink Pirouette, Pink Pirouette DSP Whisper White
ink – Basic Black, Pretty in Pink
Stampin Write Markers – Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink, Wild Wasabi
Etc – pearls, Scallop #2 die, 2 1/2 Circle punch, Edgelit die and Textured Impressions embossing folder

I’m having some really strange computer problems this morning.  It’s only raining outside so I’m not sure what the problem could be.  I have a definite love/hate relationship with my computer.  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Still More Tags

Both of these tags were inspired by some I saw on Stampin Up’s demonstrator site.  The first one uses Snow Much Fun and the idea came from Becky Roberts.  It’s a fast and easy tag – perfect for this time of year!

Supplies
Stamp Set – Snow Much Fun
card stock- Real Red, Old Olive, Whisper White
Ink – Jet Black Stazon
Stampin Write Markers – Real Red, Bashful Blue, Blush Blossom, Pumpkin Pie
Etc – Scallop Circle punch, Circles #2 die, 1 3/4 circle punch

The next one is a “front door” tag using the Stitched Felt wreath.  I cased Mary Brown’s idea of using Petite Pairs inside the wreath.  The sections of the door are on Dimensionals.

Supplies
Stamp Set – Petite Pairs
card stock – Real Red, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
Ink – Chocolate Chip
Etc- Stitched Felt wreath, gold brad, 1/8″ Real Red Ribbon

Inspired by others – makes me smile!  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Simply Sent Delightful Decorations

I still have a few Simply Sent Everyday Elegance cards and decided to continue turning them into Christmas cards.  You’ll have to forgive this photo – my easel has gone missing and it doesn’t show well without it.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Delightful Decorations, Petite Pairs
card stock – Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Cherry Cobbler,Simply Sent Everyday Elegance
Ink – Cherry Cobbler, Baja Breeze
Etc – Ornament punch, small oval punch, Petals embossing folder, Baja Breeze and Cherry Cobbler seam binding, silver cord, Rhinestone

These cards make great bases!

My hot glue gun went up in flames yesterday while making more medallions- real flames!  Scared me to death!  I have another one but am thinking that it might be time to just buy a new hot glue gun.  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Buttons,Buttons

Button Buddies is such a cute set!  Think of all the fun little notes you can make with it – and use all those buttons we tend to hoard (well, if you don’t, I do!)  I’m not going to even tell you how many jars of buttons I have around here.

These are all 3 x 3 cards (a 3 x 6 piece of card stock folded in half) and the envelope flaps are covered with matching DSP.  To make the flap I simply traced a flap onto chipboard to use as a pattern.  The sentiments on these are from Petite Pairs.

The snowman is on the 3″ scalloped square on the Scallop Square Duo die.  It is mounted on a 2 7/8 x 2 7/8 card.  This is another one done the same way –

Or you can fold a piece of card stock and place the fold on the die so it is just below the top scallops – like this –

I think I like the full square best – not sure.

Scrap Class tonight – yeah!!  I went to move the layout to the class table and realized I hadn’t adhere any of it down   Thank goodness I had already drawn the sketch or I might not be able to put it back together again.   This is the end of the third week of school around here. And already, my daughter is getting later and later!  Senior – itis!  It’s going to be a long year if I don’t nip this in the bud.  Sheesh!
