Glossy Resist

Flower Shop 11

My friend Mary Ann brought me a stack of glossy card stock!  So we had a little play 🙂  This is the basic resist technique – stamp the images with Versamark and brayer ink over the entire surface.  Gently wipe off the excess ink and you’re done!  I added a little butterfly and sentiment, die cut it out with a stitched rectangle and put it on a mat and card base.  Easy – and fun!  Thanks, Mary Ann!  Hugs, Fran

Flower Shop and Butterflies

Flower Shop 05

This is one of the card I’ll be swapping at the Catalog Preview night on Monday.  It uses Flower Shop and Papillon Potpourri.  I used the Fan embossing folder to emboss the Whisper White ans Wisteria Wonder cardstock together.  There are two stories behind this card – I was going to use smaller pearls on the butterflies, but it seems I have lots and lots of the larger size pearls left, so I used them and they look great!  Since I was making multiples of this card and each card has six branches/leaves, I used MDS and my ecutter to cut 40 leaves at a time.  Just a little background note!

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Flower Shop, Papillon Potpourri, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Card stock – Whisper White, Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant, Pear Pizzazz
Ink – Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant
Etc – Fan embossing folder, Pansy punch, Bird punch, butterfly punch, pearls, Scallop edge punch, Word Window punch

We are suppose to have a beautiful day today (and tomorrow!)  I’m hoping to get some planting done – and maybe even cook out tonight.  Have a wonderful weekend!  Hugs, Fran

Papillon Washi

This little 3 x 3 shows off the new washi tape – and is in one of my favorite colors combos.  I took a scrap piece of Whisper White and added some Epic Day washi tape then die cut it with a Label Framelit.  The butterfly was stamped in the new Smokey Slate.

The dots were punch with the Owl punch in Strawberry Slush.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Papillon Potpourri, Teeny Tiny Wishes
card stock – Whisper White, Strawberry Slush
Ink – Basic Gray, Smokey Slate
Etc – Butterfly punch, Owl punch, Label Framelits, Epic Day Washi Tape

3 x 3’s are nice to have around to tuck into gifts, lunch bags, under pillows – anywhere you need a little note.  Hugs, Fran

Tag a Bag Boxes Sneak Peek

These are the new Tag a Bag Boxes that will be in the new catalog (May 31st).  They are very sturdy, little boxes with clear sleeves – cute for holding any little gift.  And very fun to stamp!

I used Papillon Potpourri to stamp this one.  I stamped the butterfly body in Versamark and used Pool Party embossing powder.  The antennas were embossed in white.  Then I went back with a white gel pen and colored in the bodies and added little dots.

For this one I stamped the box using Mixed Bunch and embossing it with white embossing powder.  (This one is my favorite – I love the white on kraft!)

I topped the Mixed Bouquet Box with a flower made from the Creped Filter paper and a scallop circle punch.  Hint – to make it easier to punch this type of paper, attach it to a piece of copy paper and punch.  Sooooo much easier!  I tied the sleeve with some hemp and curled the ends by pulling them through some glue and wrapping them around a bamboo skewer.  The sleeve is heavy enough that I could hot glue it down.

I made an Oval punch bow for this one using Pool Party Designer Series paper.  Love the touch of color.  Hope you enjoyed this sneak peek!  Hugs, Fran

Papillon Potpourri

I am cleaning out computer files this week – and came across another card I want to show you.  The layout was cased from a card on Sudsol – but their gallery is down at the moment and I’ll have to come back to give credit.  The butterflies are stamped on card stock vellum – a beautiful paper to use!  I stamped them on the Whisper White first and then on the vellum and layered them.  And there’s a punch!  Just makes life so much easier!  Paper piercing and Dazzling Details finish off the card.

card stock – Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Floral District DSP, card stock vellum
