Birthday Blooms and Timeless Textures – both in the upcoming mini catalog – are so pretty together! I used Smokey Slate, Basic Gray and Archival Black to create the background. The flower was stamped in Stazon on watercolor paper and watercolored with an aquapainter and ink pads in Blushing Bride and Garden Green. After it dried, I used my Wink Of Stella clear to sparkle the entire flower. I got carried away and added Dazzling Details in the center of the flower and around the highlights 🙂 These stamps will be available on the 5th! Hugs, Fran

Happy New Year
Happy 2016! Let’s start the New Year with a Sale a bration card. This is Hello and it’s available free with a $50 purchase from January 5 – February 15. The little flowers are from another SAB set called Botanicals For You. It’s available from January 5 – March 31. Check those dates! There are some products available for a limited time during the limited time sale! I wanted to do a multi-colored Hello, but didn’t have a multicolored pad. So I inked the stamp up with Lost Lagoon and then used a sponge to sponge on Blackberry Bliss from one side, letting it blend as it reached half way. The colors are taken from another free SAB product, Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper. Lots of freebies going on here!
Best wishes for the New Year! Hugs, Fran
Creative Circle December Blog Hop
Welcome to the Creative Circle December Blog Hop. This month we did a darling box that holds a pop up gift card!
I used the absolutely beautiful Gold Foil paper, Winter Specialty Designer Series paper and the Jolly Christmas stamp set. It’s so shiny!
I used a Starbucks gift card and filled my box with some special coffee lovers treats – and an ornament. This will make a sweet gift. It’s really fun how the gift card pops up!
My insert is also made with the Gold Foil – and it has a good “heft” for this project!. You can find the pattern and tutorial here.
Make sure to check out all the other designs for this pattern!

Gold Joy
This black and gold Winter Wonderland Specialty Designer Series paper is so gorgeous that it can stand alone. But I added some stamping “just because!” 🙂 I used a sentiment from Jolly Christmas, heat embossed it in gold and added some foil paper and a star. That’s it! This will be featured in my Stamp a Stack this week. Hugs, Fran
Creative Circle November Blog Hop and FREE pattern!
Can you believe it’s November and the holidays are just around the corner? This sweet little box is perfect to help you with your holiday gift giving. And the best part – it’s free! Hop along with us and see lots of great ideas for this pattern.
This is the box filled with cards. It’s a substantial size and I was able to get 10 2 layer cards and envelopes inside! I used Cherry Cobbler card stock and the Season of Cheer Designer Series paper for the box and the Merry Everything for the tag. I die cut the top with the Perfect Pines Framelit Dies and added a piece of window sheet to the opening.
Here’s the set –
But it’s not only great for cards – it’s great for gifts too. I filled mine with chocolate. Wouldn’t this make a cute gift for a teacher, hair dresser, babysitter, neighbor – anyone you want to remember during the holidays?
The box opens with a cute fold –
So now that you’ve seen my ideas for the box, follow along on the Blog Hop and see other ways to use the pattern. You can get your copy of the pattern here.

Peaceful Pines Gift Card Holder
Silver and White – such a pretty color combination for a Christmas card, but SO hard to photograph! This Gift Card Holder is made with Karen Burniston’s Gift Card Holder die and Stampin Up’s Peaceful Pine stamp set. The trees are stamped in Versamark and silver embossing powder. The dotted stamp is the medium tree, but I used the small tree die to cut them out. The little packages are embossed in silver and the ribbon in colored with a Real Red Stampin Write Marker. The star on top is Red Glimmer paper. The sentiment is from Versatile Christmas and is also embossed in silver.
The Gift Card Holder was cut out of Heavy White card stock and then again in Silver Foil with the center trimmed away. The frame was cut in Whisper White.
On the inside I reversed the order and cut the frame and a solid from Silver Foil. It’s so shiny! And that’s one of the best parts of the holidays 🙂 Hugs, Fran
Bunny Business
Lucky the Rabbit sending thanks! This cute little Karen Burniston character with his basket of carrots is just too cute! Again, I’ve paired Stampin Up’s B.Y.O.P. with Karen’s Pop It Ups Gift Card Holder. It’s just too perfect 🙂 The Designer Series Paper is Farmer’s Market and (again) is perfect for Lucky!
I did this one with 3 panels.
Love it when everything comes together! Hugs, Fran
Karen Burniston Designer Challenge Costume Characters Day 1
This month’s Karen Burniston Designer challenge is to dressed up some characters! I’m starting out with Poppy the Owl dressed up for graduation. I just love how the Pop It Ups Gift Card Holder goes with Stampin Up’s B.Y.O.P stamp set.
I chose a combo of red, white and blue to match one of our local high schools. Working backwards – I’ll now have to find a matching gift card! The border on the card comes with the Gift Card Holder die! That’s easy 🙂
Poppy’s graduation cap is a small square with a Basic Black Candy dot in the center. The tassel cord was cut free-hand and the the red tassel is a small piece of Real Red with some slits cut into it, rolled up. The diploma is a scrap of Whisper White, rolled and tied with Baker’s Twine.
To make the star, punch 3 star. Hold 2 of them together and cut a sliver out of the center of both at the same time. Remove the center and alternate the colors.
Hope over to Karen’s Facebook page to see the other characters decked out in their finest! Hugs, Fran
Shaking Up Christmas
Among the Branches
Here’s my version of this card! The Woodland Textured impressions embossing folder is such a great folder and it works perfectly with Among the Branches. (That’s why it’s a bundle!) I used some traditional autumn colors – Early Espresso, Soft Suede, Tangerine Tango and Crushed Curry. To get the distressed edge on the burlap ribbon, simply trim the edges off of both sides and pull a few threads. Then send it off to a friend to wish them a Happy Fall! Hugs, Fran
