There are so many dies in the Beauty Abounds bundle! I used the little butterflies and die cut them in a rainbow of colors then I stamped the background first in a rainbow and adhered the little butterflies around their colors. To finish it off, I added gold accents. Really, really love this set! Hugs, Fran

Beauty Abounds
I LOVE this die! Absolutely love it! I started by casing the cards in the catalog because I find that the easiest way to get going. This one uses the entire die with one of the stamps used behind it.
This one was done by creating an inked background and using just a piece of the die to create the focal point. So much fun 🙂
This one was created by just floating ink on watercolor paper and letting it gently blend. The sentiment is stamped on vellum that is backed with adhesive sheet. A few stamps at the bottom finish it off.
Now that I’ve cased – I can move on to creating! Hugs, Fran
Lovely Lattice
It’s time for Saleabration! Here’s one of the stamps – Lovely Lattice – that is available for free with a $50 purchase. This also features the beautiful Gingham DSP! Love! I embossed the image and watercolored with ink the flowers. Then I made more using all the colors of the Gingham paper.
This one features the Delightful Daffodil paper.
And here it is in Highland Heather (my personal favorite!)
Balmy Blue.
And all the colors with Lemon Lime Twist! There you have it! Hugs, Fran
All That You Are
It’s almost time for the Occasions Catalog to go live (Jan 3rd) and here’s a sample cased (sort of) from the catalog. The stamp set is All That You Are and I simply used a different a different Designer Series paper- Happiness Blooms – for my card, making it very bright! You can check out the card on page 3 of the catalog and see the differences. Hugs, Fran
Accented Blooms
Here’s a bright, colorful card for you today! This is Accented Blooms done with Zig Clean Color Markers and Distressed Oxide inks. I colored the image first then masked it off and applied the Distressed Oxide ink.
I added a Daffodil Delight piece of yardstick behind the Hello and some Nuvo Drops to the background. Hugs, Fran
I’ll Be Home
Snow is Glistening
This set is Snow is Glistening and it’s a one month only promotion from Stampin Up. The tree is my favorite! This set also have a 20 piece die set full of beautiful snowflakes – a must have! I created a card and tag to show you today.
I actually created the tag first. Using the tag die from Karen Burniston’s Tag Book die set, I heat embossed the tree in white embossing powder and went over it with Crumb Cake ink and a sponge dauber. Then I stamped the snowflakes in Crumb Cake. The bottom piece is a retired edge die – and edge die or plain piece would work – and adhered it to the bottom. The little tree trunk is stamped in Early Espresso. The finishing touch are the Frosted Epoxy Droplets.
For the card, I embossed the background with the Petals embossing folder and created the front the same way as the tag – simply switching the Crumb Cake snowflakes for some heat embossed ones and adding a JOY sentiment. I just love this set!
Karen Burniston Design Team September Challenge
This month’s challenge for the Karen Burniston Design Team is Houses. I started with the new Signs of Santa set from Stampin Up and some of the matching stickers to create on scene on a KB Crosshatch Circle. He is stamped and colored with Copic markers. The paper used is the coordinating paper for the Signs of Santa – Santa’s Workshop Specialty paper. (The stripe is flocked!)
This card is 5 x 7. Not sure if you can tell but Santa is up on an action wobbler. You gotta dance when reading such a great list!
Inside is the new Karen Burniston House Pivot die!The houses are decorated with some fun paper from the Santa’s Workshop pack and a variety of stamped and colored plus fussy cut from the paper images of Santa’s busy town! The white snowflakes are the new Stampin Up Blizzard background die layered white on white.
You can see how the pivot houses attach to the top. Easy to do!!
The little elves go across the bottom and hang from the support of the houses on top. The rest of the cute sentiment is on the North Pole! I hope you’ll check out all the other “Houses” this month! Hugs, Fran
Crazy 4 Challenges C4C450 Techniques
I have been invited by Raquel to Guest Design for Crazy 4 Challenges this month! The first challenge is to make a card using any technique – old or new. So I decided on stenciling using embossing paste. The stencil I used was actually cut using a new Stampin Up background die, Blizzard Thinlits die. I cut it out of a heavy weight card stock and used Nuvo Glimmer paste in Silver Gem.
The silver embossed sentiment is the coordinating set from Stamp Up – Beautiful Blizzard – and is mounted on silver card stock die cut with the Karen Burniston Crosshatch Circle and surrounded with rhinestones. (p.s. Silver is hard to photograph!)
Inside I used the new Karen Burniston Explosion die to make this fun design! I popped up snowflakes and used the silver embossed sentiment from the same set as the front of the card.
I also added a Stampin Up border using Delicate Borders die. The snowflakes are backed on an acetate circle to give them some added strength. Check all the Crazies and see what techniques they used for this challenge! Hugs, Fran
Paper Pros August Challenge – Anything Goes!
Anything goes? OK! The Paper Pros are playing this month with whatever we want! I chose the Karen Burniston Katherine Label and Mermaid and Princess dies to create an underwater scene. I started with a background created with Distress Oxide inks and then stamped the vines from Magical Mermaid along the bottom. I added some color with my Copic markers and the sentiment is on vellum from Magical Mermaids. The little fish are from the Stampin Up Under the Sea die. The mermaid tails are from the KB Mermaid and Princess die- colored with Copics and highlighted with a white gel pen.
Inside I continued the scene the same way, adding a full mermaid near the sentiment.
Here’s a close up of the sentiment on vellum. Make sure to check out what the other designers have done this month! Hugs, Fran
