There are so many gorgeous stamps in the upcoming Holiday Mini and this one might be my favorite – Star of Light stamp and Starlight Thinlit dies. Using a Pool Party base, Gold foil and Bermuda Bay, the die cuts create a very light, beautiful star. And it comes in a bundle! I used So Saffron in the background and some sequins to finish this card. Excited? Me too! Available September 1. Hugs, Fran

Karen Burniston Designer Challenge – Flower or Flour
Flower or Flour? I chose flower. The front of my card features the flower die from Karen Burniston’s Flower Pot Pop Stand surrounding at heart stamped with Layering Labels. The card size is 5 1/2 x 6 1/2.
On the inside I stenciled the flower pot with Karen’s flower Stage it Stencil. The flowers are done in white with a So Saffron heart on a wire in the center.
Check out all the other cards on Karen’s blog and Facebook page! Hugs, Fran
Amazing Rocky
Guess what I watched last night? The opening ceremonies of the Olympics! And it inspired me to make this card. Whoever was the first person to figure out how to make the flag using the Swirly Bird dies is a genius and I salute you! I used it for the front of my patriotic card.
Inside I used Karen Burniston’s Cake Pop It Up die to make a platform for Rocky – who has clearly won the gold! The bottom of the stand is just covered with a piece of Real Red. The sentiment is from Banners for You with the Bunch of Banners Framelits.
The Olympic circles are and medal are punches and circle dies. (The punch for the circles is the 1 1/4″ with a circle die to the outside.) Doesn’t he look happy to win! Hugs, Fran
Weather Together Shaker
Let’s shake up the weather! This card uses Weather Together as a Shaker card. I started by die cutting a circle and used the adhesive foam strips around the circle to make the holder for the sequins. The easiest way to do this is to remove the paper from both sides of the strips. Then it goes around any shape without any cutting or stress. Add a window sheet to the back and stamp your sentiment in Stazon. Stamp and die cut the umbrella and place it on top. Use more adhesive foam strips around the edge of the front piece and adhere it to your card base.
Then shake it! So cute and easy! Hugs, Fran
Weather Together
Weather Together is a wonderful set with a matching die. This sympathy/encouragement card uses the die – and seriously, the paper is So Saffron! My camera just doesn’t care – it wants it to look brighter! The rain drops have Dazzling Details on them. Hugs, Fran
Time of Year
One more Christmas card – this one using the hostess set Time of Year and This Christmas Designer paper. The Bunch of Banners die cuts out all the cute banner pieces in this set! Hugs, Fran
Pretty Kitty
Using the same idea as this one from Bella & Friends, I created a kitty card with Pretty Kitty. The cat was colored with Stampin Write markers and the sentiment was embossed in white. I’m loving these cute animals! Hugs, Fran
My Christmas Hero
My Hero is the Ronald McDonald House Charities stamp set for this year. It has lots of cut occasions designs. This is the Christmas one. A very simple card – easy to make lots of them! The paper is the new This Christmas Specialty Designer Series paper. Hugs, Fran
Karen Burniston Designer Challenge – Stretch it Out
This challenge is Stretch it Out – which means accordion albums to me! I chose the Pop It Up Rectangular Accordion die and Rocky the Crab along with Stampin Up’s By the Shore Designer Series paper.
I used Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter on Very Vanilla card stock for the sand. The “Thanks” dangling from the top is stamped on both sides so you can read it open or closed. I also used Pop It Ups Palm Tree and Pail, Oval Pull Card, and Props 3 to create the different scenes.
The sentiment is Stampin Up’s Thankful Thoughts. Don’t you wish you could stretch out summer like an accordion? Check Karen’s Facebook page to see all the Stretch it Out designs! Hugs, Fran
Heartfelt Sympathy
I forgot to show you this card – and it has some Sale a ration vellum on the front – but I thought you might be able to use the design. This is Heartfelt Sympathy in Basic Gray. Very simple, which can be good when you need to make Sympathy cards. Hugs, Fran
