Tattered Field Flowers

My goodness – there’s less than 2 weeks before the new catalog!  This technique was done by tearing 2 pieces of paper to make a mask on either side of where you want your color.  I applied the colors with sponge daubers and then over stamped the color with the now retired Netting Background stamp.  Remove the masks and stamp your Field Flower inages and embellish.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Field Flowers, Netting
Cardstock – Whisper White, Basic Black
Ink – Tangerine Tango, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Daffodil Delight
Etc – Spong Daubers, embossing folder, butterfly punch

I saw this technique on Sudsol, a demo site, and cased the design.  Hugs, Fran

Field Flowers

I’ve got several retiring set cards that I want to show you before the curtain goes down on these wonderful stamp sets.   This Field Flower card has several layers on the flowers and lots of Dazzling Details.  I should have taken a picture from the side – but each flower is stamped twice and cut apart.  The flowers are done in Crumb Cake and when I added the Dazzling Details the color became almost golden.

Supplies
Stamp Set – Field Flowers
Cardstock – Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Neutral DSP
Ink – Always Artichoke, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso
Etc – Lace ribbon, Dazzling Details

Here are this week’s deals – and don’t forget Free Shipping through the 25th!  Hugs, Fran

Shimmer Flowers

Sparkly flowers – the largest one I used a sponge dauber and colored the entire flower with Riding Hood Red and then spritzing with shimmer spray.  The middle flower I added just a little bit of Riding Hood Red to the shimmer spray, sprayed it and then used what was left on my dauber to do the center.  The smallest flower is on its own!

Supplies
Stamp Set – Field Flowers
card stock – Riding Hood Red, Very Vanilla, Fan Fair, Pink Pirouette
Ink _ Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red, Always Artichoke, Jet Black Stazon
Etc – Paper flowers, large pearl, Scallop Trim border, Always Artichoke seam binding, Shimmer Spray

Make it shimmer!  Hugs, Fran

Watercolor Pillows

This idea was shown in this month’s Stampin Success – a demo maganzine that is one of the best things about being a demo!  It’s made with watercolor paper (why didn’t I think of that?) and I stamped over with Field Flowers.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – FIeld Flowers, Kindness Matters
card stock – watercolor paper
Ink – Bashful Blue, Not Quite Navy, More Mustard
Etc – Big Shot Pillow Box die, 1″ circle punch, Vanilla tafetta ribbon, Linen Thread

Here it is – the Retiring Stamp Sets! Accessories and Decor Elements will be posted April 25th. I’ll be back later today with the Blog Candy winners. Hugs, Fran

Pick up the Pieces

I have a stack of left over pieces from different cards/classes making quite an impressive pile so I decided to do something with them!  A few of them I made up just as they were “cut to be” – but then I got an idea.  I took  the pieces for this card –

grabbed a few other sets and made these – (Holiday Happiness)

It was so much fun to see how different each card looked using the same pieces!  (And fast, because all the pieces were already cut!)

Holiday Wreath class today!  And at some point I have to squeeze in a trip to the grocery store – seriously, it’s  empty around here.  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran
