Ink – Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive
Etc – Oval Framelits, Ornament punch, 1/2 Circle punch, Baker’s Twine, Dotted embossing folder

I’m teaching my Season of Style Journal class today!  Looking forward to an organized, creative Fall (fingers crossed)  Hugs, Fran

A Calm Christmas Pop N Cuts

Pop N Cuts!  My favorite   Here’s a Christmas card using the exclusive SU Pop N Cuts base die and Label insert.  I decorated the outside with Calm Christmas – the dove embossed in silver embossing powder.

On the inside I used Christmas Collectibles and a single stamp – Prince of Peace.  This set goes with the Deco Label Framelits so it works perfectly with the Label insert.

To get the different colors on the stamp, I inked it up in Pool Party and then went  over the selected words with an Island Indigo Stampin Write Marker.  The ornaments were stamped twice – once in Versamark and embossed in silver and once in Bermuda Bay to punch for the centers.  The ornament lines and accents on the card were cut from the new Silver Foil card stock – so pretty!  The sentiment on the Whisper White piece is half of the sentiment from Calm Christmas – embossed in silver.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Calm Christmas, Christmas Collectibles, Prince of Peace
card stock – Whisper White, Bermda Bay, Silver foil, Winter Frost DSP
Ink – Versamark, Bermuda Bay, Pool Party
Etc – SU Pop N Cuts base and Label insert, Deco Label Framelits, Ornament punch, 1/2″ circle punch, rhinestones, Silver ribbon, Scallop Edge punch.

I’ll have some more Halloween for you soon.  Hugs, Fran

Storing Dazzling Details

Just wanted to share with you how I store my opened bottles of Dazzling Details.  I keep them right in front of me on my stamp desk so I made this container using 2 of the inner rings from the Mini Glue Dots.  I glued them together and wrap card stock around the outside.

And the inside.  Then I used the 3/4″ circle punch to punch 3 holes in a triangle on a scrap of card stock.  Once the holes are punched, punch around this with the 2 1/5 ” circle punch.  (This is a good time to check that your bottles will fit with the spacing of the holes – ask me how I know!)  Glue this piece to the top –

Trim it to fit and gently sand the edge.  Then Decorate!  I used the Delicate Lace Tape and rhinestones on mine.

A Little More Stamp Room

Thanks for all the comments and emails about the paint job in my stamp room!  I’ve had several questions and thought I’d answer them here.  One question was asked by several people – how am I storing my paper?

This custom shelving use to hold my 12 x 12 and then I had plastic trays to hold 8.5 x 11 on top.  I decided to change it up a bit and put my 8.5 x 11 on the shelves and my 12 x 12 in the 12 x 12 paper holders (#105528 – page 226 main catalog.)  The In Colors are still in trays on the shelf next to the other paper.  We’ll see how I like it – it does open up the room more.  My DSP is on another shelve in the same dividers – each pattern in it’s own craft keeper.

I’ve sorted the papers by Pattern Packs, Current DSP and Mini Catalog –

Another question was about punches.  My new style punches are now in a shelving unit above my card stock. (See first photo)  The old style punches hang on the closet door in a Cropper Hopper punch holder – thingie that I think is no longer available.

And last, but not least, I had many questions about my ink pad/marker holders.  You’ll just have to be jealous because a friend custom built them for me – and they are awesome!  I actually called him yesterday and told him that several of you want them and encouraged him to quit his day job and build ink pad holders!  I’ll let you know if he takes me up on this!

Oh yes, someone wanted to know about my ribbon holder.  It’s a cardboard tube cut and mounted like a gutter with a yardstick mounted below it.  So if I didn’t answer your question here, shoot me an email or leave a comment and I’ll get back to you!  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Semi Annual clean up

I try not to change things up too much in my craft room because then I can’t find anything – but it was time to go through, toss out, re-organize and do a general cleaning.  So I thought I’d share the results with you!
