Snowman and Rudolph Tealights

Becky Roberts did a great tutorial on how to make these – you can find it here.  I added Rudolph to my collection (and hangers to make them ornaments.)  The antlers on Rudolph are the retired Scribbles and Swirls die.  If you use this die, double it – it’s very delicate and needs some extra “umph.”

I’ll share a sneak peek with you tomorrow from the upcoming Spring Mini.  I hate to rush it – but there is one project/product that has me swooning – so I think I’ll go ahead and share it   Hugs, Fran

Christmas Treats

Here’s another idea for a quick gift bag.  This uses a small paper bag (mine is 3 1/2 x 6 3/4) and your Holiday Framelits.  You will need to open the side of the bag out to die cut it or you will get little “vents” in the side.  (Seriously, you will!)

After you have die cut your image, fold the bag back to normal and run through your Big Shot with the Lacy Brocade embossing folder.  Cover the openings with window sheets and decorate.

Supplies
Stamp Set – Come to Bethlehem
card stock – Neutral Pack, Very Vanilla, Champagne Glimmer paper
Ink – Versamark
Etc – Holiday Framelits, Lacy Brocade embossing folder, Very Vanilla taffeta ribbon, gold cord, window sheets, Modern Label punch, Large Delicate Doilies die, gold embossing powder, star punch

Hugs, Fran

Make It Tall

This is two Fancy Favor bags put together to make it taller.  To make this bag, die cut 2 Fancy Favor bags (I used two different patterns here), cut the bottom flaps off of the one you want to be on the top.  Line up the score marks and attach to the top.  You will want to use glue or sticky strip to make it strong.  That’s it – easy!  I closed mine with a clothespin

Supplies
Stamp set – Scentsational Season, Sweets for the Sweet
card stock – Be of Good Cheer, Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Silver Glimmer paper
Ink – Chocolate Chip, Cherry Cobbler, Versamark
Etc – Holiday Framelits, Gumball Green ribbon, Scallop Circle punch, 1 3/4 circle punch, clothespin, rhinestone, Dazzling Details, Sugar and Spice embossing powder

Hugs, Fran

Clothespin Spin

This is what I made for our team gift exchange.  It’s a fun project that can be altered for any occasion.  Here’s how you do it –

Die cut two pieces of chipboard using the 3″ circle die.  Set aside the circles and die cut around the negative with the 4″ circle die.  This gives you two doughnut shapes.  Glue them together and paint them white.  The clothespins are heavy – I used heavy chipboard for this part.

Cover approximately 25 clothespins on both sides.  For these clothespins, I cut my paper 3/8″ x about 3″.  Glue them down.  Any clear drying glue will do.  This one is the same on the front and back.  You could make it multi-season by using different paper on each side.

Tie a long piece of Cherry Cobbler seam binding to your base and start placing your clothespins around the edge.  Once I got it spaced the way I wanted, I glued one side down just where the pins touch the base.  Then I added a banner.

And a cute gift needs a cute box   The finished size of this box is 9 1/2 x 9 1/2 (which give you a better idea of the finished size of the wreath!)

Really?  These clothespins are for laundry?  Hugs, Fran

Santa Purse

Need something to hold a little gift?  Here’s the Petite Purse die dressed up just for Santa.  The band on the front is 3/4″ wide and the buckle is 1″ brushed gold square with a 3/4″ black center.  This was another project from my gift bag class – so easy and cute!

Stamp set – Border Banter
card stock – Real Red, Basic Black, Brushed Gold, Whisper White
Ink – Real Red
Etc – Petite Purse die, 1″ and 3/4″ square punches, velcro

Hint – you could replace the “merry” with the names of your guests and create place settings or guest gifts.

Hugs, Fran

Gingerbread Bag

This is one of the gift bags we did in my Gift Bags and Boxes class yesterday.  It’s a Fancy Favor box with a Scentsational Gingerbread Man on the front.  The closure is a decorated clothes pin.

The candy piece is 5-6 punches with the stamped image on top.  Add Dazzling Detail for some sparkle!  The people at my grocery store have to wonder what I’m doing with all these clothes pins!

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Scentsational Season, Sweets for the Sweet
card stock – Regals DSP stack, Whisper White, Old Olive
Ink – Chocolate Chip, Versamark, Riding Hood Red
Etc- Fancy Favor die, Dotted embossing folder, Scallop circle punch, 1 3/4 circle punch, clothes pin, 1″ circle punch, rhinestone, Dazzling Details, Sugar and Spice embossing powder, Holiday Framelits

Don’t forget to check out the new bundles!

Happy Hour Treats

These cute little bags are cased from Connie Babbert.  I made lots of them for a Christmas party- some will hold peppermint sticks, cinnamon sticks or marshmallows.  This is where I used up the last of my “googly eyes” cello bags.  To make more I cut some other cello bags that were the same width, just longer, to 5 1/4″ tall and then used the pinking hearts border punch to finish the top.

Supplies
Stamp Set – Happy Hour
card stock – Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, Be of Good Cheer DSP, Red glitter paper
Ink – Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler
Etc – Snow Flurry die, Gumball Green ribbon, Crystal Effects, 1 3/4 circle punch, circle #2 die

Thanks, Connie, for some great inspiration!  Hugs, Fran

Christmas Bag

This bag design was originally a card design.  Amy Johnson designed the card – and I loved it so much I turned it into a gift bag.  I just had to “grow” it a bit  Doesn’t this make things easier?  Take any card you love and turn it into a matching bag!
Supplies
Stamp set – Ornament Keepsakes
card stock – Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, Be of Good Cheer DSP, Gumball Green
Ink – Illuminate pad, Jet Black Stazon, Cherry Cobbler
Etc – Ornament framelit, Northern Flurry embossing folder, Bakers Twine, Gumball Green ribbon

card stock – Midnight Muse, Bashful Blue, water color paper, In Color DSP
Ink – Jet Black Stazon, Bashful Blue, Basic Gray, Pumpkin Pie, Midnight Muse

Or maybe not!  Hugs, Fran
