Easter Blossoms Shadow Box

This was a card creation that could have gone on and on!

Springtime Vintage DSP is so pretty and this little girl was just waiting to be surrounded by all those blooms.  (The tutorial for making this type of card is here .) By using Dimensionals, I was able to create lots of dimension (hey!  That’s where they got their name!)  Here’s a close up and list of supplies –

Supplies
Stamp set – Easter Blossoms (Occasions Mini)
card stock – Very Vanilla, Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, Springtime Vintage DSP
Ink – Soft Suede, Early Espresso
Stampin’ Write Markers – Pretty in Pink, Rose Red, Pink Pirouette
Ect – Coluzzle, Scallop Oval punch, Large Oval punch, Itty Bitty flower punch, LOTS and LOTS of Pearls! sponge

Fabric Gift bags

A friend of mine wanted me to post these gift bags that I’ve been making so everyone can see them – so here they are!  They are made just like the larger rag bags, just smaller – only 14 scalloped squares.  I use 7 scallop squares in one pattern and 7 in another and back the squares with a contrasting fabric (14 squares.)  These bags are gifts for my SAB hostesses!

All of the flower pins are made using the Fun Flowers die in Occasions Mini.  They are pinned onto the bags so they can be moved around or worn on something else.

Big Shot Dies – Scallop Square, Fun Flowers
Big Shot
Fabric
Ect – sewing machine, thread, various buttons, pin back, various ribbon (retired )

The best part of these bags is that they can be customized to the person and/or occasion!  And the Big Shot makes is so easy because you can cut at least 8 layers of fabric at once (I’ve managed 12!)

More Petal Cone

Here’s another idea for the Petal Cone die!  This was also shown at Leadership – I meant to show it to you yesterday, but got a bit excited with the last project !  For this project you cut two Petal Cones and remove the rounded tabs from one of them.  This creates a  pocket holder – which holds a package of 3 x 3 cards!

Stamp set – Messages for Mom, You’re a Gem (cards)
card stock – Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Sweet Stitches DSP
Ink – Basic Black
Big Shot dies – Petal Cone, Pun Flowers
Ect – Fancy Flower Punch, Scallop Edge Punch, Crop a Dile, Sweet Stitches Designer Big Buttons, Daffodil Delight 1/8″ taffeta ribbon, Birds and Blooms Sizzlet and crimper (leaves), Sweet Stitches Designer Fabric, Jewelry tag punch (cards)

I finally got some of the FUN Pompom trim and think I need to made another set just so I can trim the pouch with it!  Hugs, Fran

Big Shot Petal Cone Die

The Big Shot Petal Cone die is so much fun to use!  I’ve had fun remaking some of the displays from Leadership.  The ideas were so much fun!  This one is similar to one that was shown by Shelly (I think ) and shows the Petal Cone in it’s “original” shape.

I die cut the Petal Cone in Daffodil Delight and then again using the Sweet Stiches Designer Series Paper.  The flower is made with the Big Shot Fun Flowers die (Daffodil Delight – sponged edges)  with a Sweet Stiches Designer Big Button in the center.

Big Shot Dies – Petal Cone, Fun Flowers
card stock – Daffodil Delight, Sweet Stiches DSP, Very Vanilla
Stamp Set – Nature Walk
Ink – Daffodil Delight, Early Espresson
Ect – Early Espresso 5/8 Satin Ribbon, Metal edge tag, 3/4″ circle punch, Sweet Stiches Designer Big Button, Crop a dile, sponge

Here’s a close up of my little tag.

Almost everything used here is available in the Occasions Mini!  I LOVE this mini!  Hugs, Fran

Snowy Days

The snow is headed our way (again!)  So in honor of more snow – here’s a gift card holder I did using the Look Here Big Shot Die and Merry Crittermas.

All the little critters were stamped in Stazon and watercolored using an aqua painter and ink.  There is lots and lots of Dazzling Diamonds on this card!  Most of this was done with scraps of water color paper. (That big piece of Real Red is where the gift card goes!)

Stamp sets – Merry Crittermas, Many Merry Messages
Card stock – Pink Pirouette, Baja Breeze, watercolor paper, Candy Lane DSP, Real Red
Inks – Baja Breeze, Basic Gray, Garden Green, Real Red, Cajun Craze, Pink Pirouette, Jet Black Stazon, Chocolate Chip
Ect – Look Here Big Shot Die, Snowflake punch, Dazzling Diamonds, Two way Glue Pen, Crystal Effects (lightbulbs in racoon hands)

Stay safe and warm!  Hugs, Fran

Snowman Treat Box

Happy New Year!  Now that Christmas is over (can you believe it?) we can move on!  The weather caused a few disruptions in my Christmas plans and I needed a gift box for something that was going to be delivered late.  This little box was made with the Scallop Circle die for the Big Shot and Box number 2.

The band for his ear muffs was cut with the Clear Circle die.  I cut it out, removed the circle and then move the Clear Circle die up just a smidge to get the head band.  (Just like you would do with a punch.)

Big Shot dies – Scallop Circle, Box #2, Clear Circle
Punches – 3/4″ circle, 1/2″ circle, Scalloped Oval, Round Tab
Card stock – Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Bashful Blue, Night of Navy
Ect – Bashful Blue ribbon (retired), Pretty in Pink pastel, gel pen, Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Write Marker, glue dots

The ribbon is wrapped around the box and taped and then the face is adhered with Dimensionals.  The bow is attached with glue dots to the front.  The nose was just free handed.  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Coffee Sleeves

Recently Splitcoast did a tutorial on making Felt Coffee Sleeves  I had just had coffee with a friend and we discussed how much fun it would be to make these so this tutorial was just perfect for me!.  The first one I did was as close to an exact case as you can get –

Stamp Set – Lovely as a Tree
card stock – Whisper White
Ink – Jet Black Stazon, Bashful Blue
Ect – 1/8 Pretty in Pink ribbon, Square Lattice embossing folder, silver elastic thread, buttons, Felt.

Then I made one with Awash with Flowers –

Stamp Set – Awash with Flowers
card stock – Whisper White, Melon Mambo
Ink – Jet Black Stazon, Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive
Ect – 1/8″ Old Olive ribbon, Pumpkin Pie corduroy buttons (retired), silver elastic thread, Square Lattice embossing folder, Felt.

Then I couldn’t resist using Morning Cup –

Stamp Set – Morning Cup
card stock – Water Color Paper. Baja Breeze
Ink – Jet Black Stazon, Cherry Cobbler, Baja Breeze, So Saffron
Ect – Square Lattice embossing folder, aquapainter, buttons, silver elastic, Felt.

Have fun with these (they make GREAT gifts!)  Hugs, Fran

Gra\veyard Gala Candy Box

Whew!  I stamped all weekend and it was fun!  Now I need to show you some of the projects that are backing up around here.  This is a Halloween candy holder made with the Big Shot Box #2 die, Graveyard Gala and the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.  The tombstone from Graveyard Gala is attached to the lid of the box to make the candy holder.

Stamp Set – Graveyard Gala
card stock – Basic Grey, Basic Black
Ink – Basic Black
Ect – White Gel Pen, Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder, Big Shot Box #2 die

Spooky, spooky – Hugs, Fran

Petal Card Punch Candy Holders

These are little candy holders made with the Petal Card Punch.  And they are little – they’ll hold one little snack size candy each – which is perfect to hand out to everyone you know!  First let me show you the Halloween group and then I’ll tell you how to make them.

Punch 2 of the petal cards and fold three of the score lines – leave one sticking up.

Use Sticky Strip or Tombow Multipurpose adhesive on the folded tabs and stick the two pieces together!  There you go – that’s it!  Now all you need to do is decorate.  Here are some close ups for inspiration.

Okay – the ghost is too easy!  (But I really needed him in my ensemble!)

Mr. Mummy is one long 1/4″ strip of Very Vanilla that is sponged in Crumb Cake and just suck to the front at various angles.  I should add here that I do the “faces” before I put the punches together.  It’s easier to hang on to them.

Dracula’s hair is the Full Heart punch repunched with the 1 1/4″ circle punch.  He has a bit of grey pastel on his cheeks.

The tombstone was run through the Big Shot using the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder.  The skull is from From the Crypt.

The pumpkin is boring, thank you very much!

If you want to keep going – Santa is the Scallop Circle.  The bend in his hat is another rounded end from a Petal Card Punch, snipped off at the score line.

And Frosty is where this whole idea started!  I love snowmen!

Well, I hope you’re inspired to do something different with your Petal Card punch!  Link any other faces you create here so we can all see them!  Hugs, Fran

Sneek Peek Boo

Sneek Peek from the Holiday Mini!  The Big Shot Candy Wrapper die is going to be so much fun!  Say after me “Pull, push, twist, smoosh.”  That’s how the ends are done.  Here’s one in a Halloween design using the Halloween rub ons and new Halloween DSP from the Mini.

Same thing using Perfect Punches and Jolly Holiday DSP –

And for some more Halloween fun – here’s a layout using the Halloween rub ons from the Mini –

And for the gals who came to this month’s Scrapbooking 101 – yes, this is the same layout done for Halloween   Hugs, Fran
