Silly, Spooky Box

I wanted to show you another sheet music project today – but the pot that I painted to hold it isn’t dry.  And it’s really not dry!  I wanted a Cherry Cobbler pot so I took one that had a coat of white paint on it and mixed some Cherry Cobbler with white paint – it was pink.  So then I painted over it with white paint mixed with Bravo Burgundy reinker – now it’s purple.  So then I painted over the entire thing with Real Red pigment ink.  The color is beautiful, but I don’t think it’s going to dry……sigh.  So here’s a fun little project I did for table favors for a Halloween party in works.  This is the Blossom Box die done up for trick or treat!

The “eyes” are from Sweets for the Sweet.  I’ve made them in Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Basic Black.  (I think he could be the Cookie Monster if you did him in Pacific Point!)  The eyes are on a small, accordion folded piece of card stock that is slipped between the pleats –

Isn’t he cute?  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Spooky Treats

Here are a few things we’re making at my Spooky Treats class tomorrow.  The first is an extended candy wrapper made from the Candy Wrapper die.

And a #2 box with a special bow-

Aren’t those bats great?

That’s my funky bow.  It’s going to be a spooky time!  Scrappin’ tonight – and I can’t wait!  Love the time spent with my friends, ink and stamps!  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Peek a Boo Elves

I have several pieces left over from my Advent Calendar class last weekend – cut from the Peek a Boo Frames Big Shot die in the Holiday Mini.  So since I’m still bouncing all over the place, doing projects way out of order, I made a tag.

The outside is stamped with Season of Joy – and the inside…………..

opens to these smiling faces from Holiday Lineup!

Supplies
Stamp sets -Season of Joy, Holiday Line Up
card stock – Real Red, Garden Green, Whisper White
Ink – Real Red, Jet Black Stazon
Stampin Write Markers – Real Red, Garden Green, Blush Blossom,So Saffron
Etc – Peek a Boo Frames, Scallop Border punch, 1/2 circle punch, Crop a dile, White satin ribbon, Word Window punch, jewel

Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Pinecone Ornament

I had one more styrofoam ball out so I decided to make a pinecone ornament with the beautiful Spice Cake Designer Series paper.  This is done with 2 x 1 pieces – fold the short ends down to the center to create a triangle.  Start at the bottom with four squares and continue around the styrofoam ball.

Add leaves to the top –

I’d love to say I used scraps on this one too – but I didn’t!  I bravely cut up 1 1/2 sheets of DSP!  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Warm Wishes

This little box, using two Big Shot Fancy Favor boxes, was shown at convention by Susan Campfield.  It’s a full box on the bottom and a box with the flaps removed (and flipped over) for the top.  Cute idea!  Last month at our team meeting everyone drew a Winter WIshes Stitched Felt out of a bucket to use on any type of project they wanted.  I got the mittens and made this –

Supplies
Stamp Set – Many Merry Messages
card stock – Whisper White, Bashful Blue DSP, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Bashful Blue
Ink – Cherry Cobbler
Etc – 2 1/2″ Circle punch, 1/2″ circle punch, Itty Bitty circle punch, Word WIndow punch, Winter WIshes Stitched Felt, pastels, Deocrative Label punch, Pumpkin Pie marker

There is a packet of hot chocolate mix inside   Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Not Too Spooky

These little bottles were originally for wedding favors – I found them in a clearance aisle last year!  I’ve used them for several things and now they will be Halloween party favors (if I have enough left!)  They have flat sides – perfect for stamping!  Since the table will have a black cloth, I’ve left the lids as they came – black and white.

The faces are from Jack of All Trades, stamped in Stazon.  The stem is two pony beads glued together with Crystal Effects.  The leaves are from the two step Bird punch.  And the “curlies” are simply strips of card stock rolled onto my piercing tool.

Supplies
Stamp set – Jack of All Trade
card stock – Old Olive
Ink – Jet Black Stazon
Etc – Two step Bird punch, pony beads, small jar

Stampin with friends this morning – the best way to start a weekend!  Enjoy – Hugs, Fran

She’s Flying

I hope you’re enjoying the long weekend and finding some creative time!  I’ve been trying to figure out a way to make this little witch fly across a candy wrapper without it being more work than a candy wrapper is worth!  She’s from the Holiday Mini set Out on a Limb. I finally put her on a window sheet so she can fly across the sky when the candy is pulled up.

This candy wrapper is made with a 6 x 5 3/4 piece of Basic Gray card stock.  Score it at 1/4, 2 3/4, 3 and 5 1/2. This creates your “box.”  I used the 4″ circle die to make the moon and wheeled a 2 x 2 1/2 piece of Basic Gray with the Haunting Hill jumbo wheel to make a false front.  Attach a 1/2″ strip of window sheet to the ribbon pull using a brad.  The cute little witch is attached to the window sheet with Dimensionals.

Supplies
Stamp sets – Out on a Limb, Wicked Cool, Haunting Hill jumbo wheel
card stock – Basic Gray, Whisper White
ink – Jet Black Stazon, Bashful Blue, Basic Gray
Stampin Write Markers – Chocolate Chip, More Mustard, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron. Blush Blossom, Lucky Limeade
Etc – 4″ circle die, window sheet, Basic Black grosgrain, Crop a Dile, 1/2 circle punch, Black brad, Dimensionals

Enjoy Labor Day – hope you’re not working too hard!  We’ve gone from hot, humid weather to cold rain.  No complaints.  I know some of you are having horrific weather.  Samantha and I are decorating for my Open House tomorrow.  I’ll get my camera out today and show you what we’ve been up to   Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Little Boo

It’s Holiday Mini time!  (My favorite!)  There is a die in the mini called Peekaboo Frames (124587 – page 36) that is shown on the advent calendar.  It’s darling – but we need to be able to use it for more than one project.  One idea is to make cute tags.  Here is Little Boo –

This is the front – the ghost is the Owl punch.  Here it is open –

Supplies

Big Shot die – Peekaboo Frames, Naturally Serif alphabet
card stock – Rich Razzleberry, Basic Black, Whisper White
Etc – Owl punch, googlie eyes, 1/2 circle punch, Black polka dot ribbon

The inspiration for the little ghost came from a card that a friend showed me – that looked something like this –

Do you know who designed this card?  I wrote it down and then tossed the note – sigh!  (ETA – the original design is from Mega Stampin Studio)  When will I learn not to leave notes on my stampin desk?  I can’t tell you how many times I’ve written a note and then used that paper to scoop embossing powder or catch glitter – then tossed the paper without thinking!  The hazzards of Dazzling Diamonds!  Enjoy – Hugs, Fran

Bewitched

I cased this card from the Holiday Mini – which starts tomorrow!  Since I didn’t have the Lucky Limeade ribbon, I did the card in Pear Pizzazz.  This little gal reminds me of Samantha from Bewitched!  Check out the mustached pumpkins in this set – how funny!

Supplies
Stamp set – Out on a Limb, Wicked Cool
card stock – Pear Pizzazz, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, More Mustard
Ink – Jet Black Stazon, Pear Pizzazz
Stampin Write Markers – Rich Razzleberry, Pear Pizzazz, More Mustard, So Saffron, Blush Blossom
Etc – Pear Pizzazz ribbon, Scallop oval punch, jewels, Scallop Border edge punch

So while I had this set out, I made a little wrapper for the new 1 x 8 cello bags.  Instead of attaching it to the top, I made a card stock band and wrapped it around the middle.  I think it works better to attached  it to the top – some of the cello bags have opened a little handling.  Still cute

Maybe I’ll just move it up to the top to help secure the flap.

Today is the last day of the Summer Mini and the Buy 3 Get One Free promotion!  Check your Designer Series Paper stash before it’s too late – you’ll be sad if you miss out!  I always want more paper!  Enjoy the day – Hugs, Fran

Eeek!

I had a funny idea yesterday and just dropped everything to create this little guy!

I hung him on the window going out back and just waited – the kids were not impressed.  So much for them!  He’s made of ornament punches and a window sheet that has been embossed with the spider web embossing folder.  Here’s another – though not very good – view.

Supplies
Card stock – Basic Black, window sheet
Ornament punch
Spider web embossing folder
4″ Circle die
googlie eyes

Now to get back to what I’m suppose to be doing!  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran
