Here’s another Summer Mini sneak peek – On the Sea. I had a piece of faux barn board from some previous cards and thought this technique would go great with this set.
The ship is stamped with Stazon on watercolor paper and colored with reinkers and an aquapainter.
Note – my barn board was too light so I took some Early Espresso and gently wiped it over the paper to darken it up a bit. On a “do over” I would use a darker color reinker.
Supplies
Stamp sets – On the Sea, Thank You Kindly
card stock – Cherry Cobbler,Not Quite Navy, watercolor paper,Nautical Expedition DSP
Ink – Jet Black Stazon, Not Quite Navy, Early Espresso,Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler
Etc – brass brads, 2 1/2 circle punch, Word Window punch, ticket corner punch, faux barn board
Enjoy! Hugs, Fran

Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch
This new punch is so much fun! Three punches in one! Here I’ve paired it up with the stem in Bold Blossom and a set from the Summer Mini called Happy Greetings. This was my swap card for our team meeting yesterday.
With this cute sentiment I knew I wanted to have a “he loves me, he loves me not” look. I simply snipped a blossom from the punch and pulled it out a bit.
The DSP is First Edition brayered with Blushing Bride. Behind it I used the line of pearls on the pearl sheet.
Supplies
Stamp sets – Bold Blossom, Happy Greetings
card stock – Pink Pirouette, Pear Pizzazz, First Edition DSP, Whisper White
Ink – Pear Pizzazz, Basic Black, Pink Pirouette
Etc – pearls, Pink Pirouette ribbon, Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer punch, Tasteful Trim Big Shot die
And here’s a terrible picture of the inside. I made it with My Digital Studio and printed it out on Whisper White card stock.
I didn’t photograph it at the same time as the card – but I did want to share it so you’ll have to ignore the shadow! Enjoy! Hugs, Fran
More Sail Away
I used the April sketch to try for this card, Sail Away and the new Nautical Expedition Designer Series paper. I stamped the sailboat in Basic Gray on two pieces of Confetti White and cut out and layered the sail (again – can you tell I like this look?)

card stock – Cherry Cobbler, Basic Gray, Confetti White, Nautical Expedition DSP

Thoughts of Kindness Sneak Peek
And here’s ANOTHER new set from the upcoming Summer Mini – Thoughts of Kindness! Cute, cute outline images. While I’m messing around trying to find the layout I love, I thought I’d share a few attempts with you. (You can be my guinea pigs because my kids are tired of looking!)
That’s the new Triple Layer Blossom Bouquet punch (well, it’s one layer of it) on the bottom. You are going to love these new punches!
Another variation photographed at a very weird angle – sorry.
A Wild Wasabi variation. I enjoyed putting little drops of Crystal Effects on the water spray – just don’t let the cat in the room until its dry! On sample was glued to the counter after he knocked it over….sigh.
There are other images in this set. I’ll get to work on them this week!

Sail Away Sneak Peek
Here’s another sneak peek at an A La Carte stamp in the upcoming Summer Mini. It’s called Sail Away and is a beautiful sailboat. Isn’t this perfect for scrapbooking and those hard to come up with masculine cards?
I stamped the sailboat twice – once on Crumb Cake and once on Whisper White. The Crumb Cake image is die cut with the 4″ Circle die (great because it’s clear and you can center your image.) On the Whisper White image I cut out the sail. The background is stamped with an image from another upcoming set, On the Sea. And the sentiment is upcoming too (it was a BIG box of goodies!) called Best Dad Ever. That’s a little piece of the new Baker’s Twine at the top sail. You’ll see lots more of it later on, I promise! Here’s a close up of the layered sail.
Supplies
Stamp sets – Sail Away, Best Dad Ever, On the Sea
card stock – Cherry Cobbler, Not Quite Navy, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Early Espresso
Ink – Early Espresso, Not Quite Navy
Etc – 4″ circle die, Scallop Edge punch, Small Oval punch, Vintage brad, Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine, sponge

Strength and Hope
Still casing my way through Stampin’ Success! One of the sets coming up in May is Strength and Hope. $2 from each set sold will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The set is so beautiful and is something I will use over and over.
Believe it or not this is a textured Bashful Blue base! (I must speak to my camera about this!) So,no matter how bold it looks here, it is a very soft look. I used different strips of DSP behind the tag and the butterfly and H are popped up on dimensionals. Hint – when you pop things that are narrow, like the H, use the side pieces of your dimensionals. They are easier to cut to the correct size.
Supplies
Stamp Set – Strength and Hope
Card stock – Bashful Blue textured, Rose Red, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake and Bashful Blue DSP
Ink – Rose Red, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Bashful Blue
Ect – Rhinestone brads, 1/8″ Very Vanilla ribbon
Beautiful set – great cause – gotta have it! Enjoy! Hugs, Fran
Four Frames Fancy Favor
It’s a sneak peek of a set in the upcoming Idea Book and Catalog! But you can get this set and the new Paisley Petals Designer Series paper in April. Here’s how – spend $20 on any Stampin’ Up! products and you can purchase both the Four Frames Set and Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper or host a $350 workshop and get them for free! Check my calendar to pick a date for your workshop!
I used one of the Four Frames images on a Big Shot Fancy Favor box.
I cut the Fancy Favor box in Marina Mist and wheeled it with the Very VIntage wheel inked with Marina Mist. Then I cut just the top of the box in Soft Suede (2 x 12) to make a layer. The frame was stamped in Soft Suede and sponged with Marina Mist. I tied the Cherry Cobbler seam binding in a bow using the Antique brad to attach it, and just pulled a thread in the middle of each tail to make it gather.
Supplies
Stamp sets – Four Frames, You’re a Gem, Very Vintage wheel
card stock – Marina Mist, Soft Suede, Whisper White
Ink – Marina Mist, Soft Suede
Big Shot die – Fancy Favor
Ect – Decorative Label Punch, Cherry Cobbler seam binding, Antique brad, sponge
Have a great weekend! Hugs, Fran
Sneak Peek and a Winner
Daylight Savings Time always throws me and I got up late this morning. I’m usually a very early riser but time changes do me in. So even though I feel like I’m scrambling this morning, I’ve got a sneak peek to show you! In the upcoming Summer Mini there will be a beautiful stamp set called Strength & Hope. $2 from each set sold will go to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. It’s a wonderful stamp set benefitting a great cause. We used it yesterday at my team meeting and this is one of the cards we made.
This is a 3 x 6 card (6x 6 scored in half.) Though you can’t tell from the picture, the butterfly is inked in Soft Suede and then the stamp was coated with Champagne Mist shimmer ink before stamping. It has a beautiful shine to it. The card is “spritz” with a Soft Suede marker and then sprayed with Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz.
Stamp Set – Strength & Hope
card stock – Pink Pirouette, Soft Suede, Whisper White
Ink – Pink Pirouette, Soft Suede
Stampin’ Write Marker – Soft Suede
Ect – Vanilla Smooch Spritz, Spritzer tool, Tasteful Trim die, Curly Label punch, 1 1/4 circle punch, 1/8 White ribbon, pearls, sponge, Champagne Mist shimmer ink
On to the fun! I used the random number generator to pick the blog candy winner and it is number 19 – Jennifer!
