Dotty Angles

Dotty Angles 01

Just playing around with some new stamps!  The background on this card is done with Dotty Angles – a new photopolymer stamp.  I stamped it first in Strawberry Slush and then stamped it again without reinking.  The next color is Blushing Bride and then Pink Pirouette.  The sentiment is from Fabulous Four – which is aptly named because it’s fabulous!  I used some of the new 1/4″ cotton ribbon and the new Fun Flower punch as an accent.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Dotty Angles, Fabulous Four
Cardstock – Blushing Bride, Strawberry Slush, Whisper White
Ink – Jet Black Stazon, Strawberry Slush, Blushing Bride, Pink Piouette
Etc – Fun Flower punch, 1/4″ Cotton ribbon, Soft Subtle button

It’s fun to play around with new stuff!  Hugs, Fran

Butterfly Thoughts

A Dozen Thoughts 02

Here’s one of the cards we did in Card Club this month.  It uses the new Designer Series paper – Lullaby.  To do this fold you cut the Hello Honey cardstock to 5 1/2 x 7 1/4 and score at 4 1/4.  Here’s the inside –

Fast Food Friends

Oooooh!  You’re going to love the new Fry Box Bigz die in the new catalog!  This sweet treat die is SO EASY to put together!  And it stands flat – a definite plus for boxes.  I used a piece of Pistachio Pudding cardstock that was already stamped with Regarding Dahlias from another project.  I add some decorations and place a tag on the front stamped with the new Fast Food Friends stamp.  The twisty on the cello bag was done by covering a twist tie with new Sweet Sadie washi tape – and then all tied up with Strawberry Slush and Pistachio Pudding thick Baker’s Twine.  Some shred finishes it off!

Supplies
Stamp sets – Fast Food Friends, Regarding Dahlias
Cardstock – Pistachio Pudding, Strawberry Slush, Whisper White
Ink – Smokey Slate, Strawberry Slush, Pistachio Pudding
Etc – Fry Box Bigz die, 2 1/2 scallop circle punch, In Colors thick Baker’s Twine, Sweet Sadie washi tape

I’m really looking forward to playing with this die!  Hugs, Fran

Sneak Peek What’s Your Type Christmas

A Christmas idea is May!  This is What’s Your Type (available June 2nd) I used the small circle images and embossed the solid in gold and the stripes in silver.  (Do this one color at a time)  I embossed a piece of Brushed Gold using Petite Pairs and silver embossing powder.  Rhinestones and sequins finish it off. The ornament is a 1 3/8″ circle with the little scalloped square punch in Brushed Silver on top.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – What’s Your Type?, Petite Pairs
Cardstock – Brushed Silver, Brushed Gold, Whisper White
Ink – Versamark
Etc – Sequins, Rhinestones, 1 3/8 circle punch, Itty Bitty punch pack

Today is suppose to be our warmest yet – making it an odd day to show a Christmas card!  You might want to consider other colors   Hugs, Fran

Flower Shop and Butterflies

Flower Shop 05

This is one of the card I’ll be swapping at the Catalog Preview night on Monday.  It uses Flower Shop and Papillon Potpourri.  I used the Fan embossing folder to emboss the Whisper White ans Wisteria Wonder cardstock together.  There are two stories behind this card – I was going to use smaller pearls on the butterflies, but it seems I have lots and lots of the larger size pearls left, so I used them and they look great!  Since I was making multiples of this card and each card has six branches/leaves, I used MDS and my ecutter to cut 40 leaves at a time.  Just a little background note!

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Flower Shop, Papillon Potpourri, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Card stock – Whisper White, Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant, Pear Pizzazz
Ink – Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant
Etc – Fan embossing folder, Pansy punch, Bird punch, butterfly punch, pearls, Scallop edge punch, Word Window punch

We are suppose to have a beautiful day today (and tomorrow!)  I’m hoping to get some planting done – and maybe even cook out tonight.  Have a wonderful weekend!  Hugs, Fran

Mixed Bunch

I saw a card that I loved and re-did it using Stampin Up products!  This uses Mixed Bunch stamped on the background in Versamark and embossed in White.  For the flower, I embossed some Crumb Cake with the Distressed Dots folder and punched out some flowers (Blossom and pansy punches)  Then I added Linen Thread and some rhinestones colored with a Copic marker.  The XOXO is from the Circle Thinlit flip die.

Stamp – Mixed Bunch
Card stock – Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink – Versamark
Etc – Blossom and Pansy punches, white embossing powder, Circle Thinlit flip die, rhinestones, Neutral Button, Linen Thread, Distressed Dots embossing folder, scallop edge punch

Last Day for Free Shipping!  Hugs, Fran

Backyard Basic Trellis

It’s all retiring!  Yikes!  This card was inspired by one I saw on Splitcoast.  I used the same layout but changed the stamps and used the Framelits to die cut.  The other card had a beautiful tulip watercolored onto the front of the card.  The deep, side punch is a Martha Stewart punch that I used for a wedding invitation a year or two ago.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Backyard Basics, Blessings from heaven
Cardstock – Whisper White
Ink – Jet Black Stazon
Stampin Write Markers – Crisp Cantaloupe, Pear Pizzazz, Soft Sky, Pool Party
Etc – Backyard Basics Framlits, MS punch, Dazzling Details

Don’t forget free shipping this week only!  Hugs, Fran

Birthday Cake

This is a card we did yesterday at my birthday stamp a stack.  The biggest question was “where did the scalloped circle come from.”  It’s from the pennant die.  This card is a case of a card from last year with a few changes – the colors and dsp of course, the flags on the side using the cute little banner punch – and I rounded the corners using the Envelope Punch Board!  I it when tools make my life easier!

Supplies
Stamp Set – Embellished Event
Card Stock – Very Vanilla, Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit, Birthday Basics DSP
Stampin Write Markers – Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit
Etc – Pennant die, small banner punch, pearls, Envelope Punch Board, Boho Blossoms punch

It’s fun to re-do an old design!  Hugs, Fran

Working With Sentiments

There are lots of wonderful phrases and sentiments in the catalog, but sometimes they don’t fit on your card (or tag!)  The sentiment here is from Cycle Celebrations and is one, long phrase.  I needed something more “squat” to fit my tag – so I broke this one down and made it fit.  To do this, I started with a 2 x 5 piece of Whisper White and grabbed my Stamp-a-ma-jig.  Starting at the bottom, I masked off all the words except “to You”, lined it up and stamped it.  I cleaned the stamped and masked off everything except “Birthday”, lined it up and stamped it.  Then I repeated the procedure with “Happy.”  Once my sentiment was stamped, I stamped the image above it.  Then I trimmed the paper and punched the top with the Scallop Tag Topper.  Sounds like a lot of work – but it goes quickly and now I have a cute tag for my package.

Supplies
Stamp Set – Cycle Celebration
Cardstock – Whisper White
Ink – Jet Black Stazon, Strawberry Sluch
Etc – Stamp-a-ma-jig, Strawberry Slush ribbon, Scallop Tag Topper, Dazzling Details

Practicing on grid paper.  You will no longer be limited to the length of you stamps.   Hugs, Fran
