My Digital Studio Fun

There’s so much going on in the Stampin Up world!  Let’s start with some My Digital Studio fun.  I saw a card like this in a magazine online and knew I could recreate it using MDS and my ecutter.

This is how the original card was done – and then I decided to add more color –

I just imported the Timeless Type Numbers punches into my ecutter’s software and pushed a button!  That’s fun!

Supplies
Stamp Set – Sassy Salutations
card stock – Basic Gray, Sunshine and Sprinkles DSP, (Marina Mist, Pacific Point, Delightful Daffodil, Lucky Limeade)
Etc – My Digital Studio (Timeless Type Numbers punches) corner rounder, Owl punch and Cupcake punches (for those little tiny circles!)

And there’s FREE SHIPPING this weekend!  I’ve been with SU for 10 years and I think this is a first for me
It applies to any size order – big or small – so HAPPY SHOPPING!  Because you might want to stock on theretiring cardstock colors

There are so many wonderful projects – come join us!  Hugs, Fran

Whale-abrate

Very “punny!”  Here’s a card using the Oh Whale stamp set from the Spring Mini and the matching Sizzlit.  I used the exclusive Stampin Up Pop N Cuts base – imagine that!  Look closely at the bottom left side of the card.  That’s what happens when you’re not careful measuring the inside elements

Here’s the inside of the invitation.  I do not have a two year old boy – this card had a mind of it’s own.  The waves are created by using the negative space from the scallop on the Tasteful Trim die.  The insert is the Pop N Cuts Party Phrase and matching Sizzlit die.

“Look who’s turning” (and “whale-abrate” on the front) was done in MDS2 – handy for making your own sentiments.  Even when they’re not so great!

“You’re Invited” is from the Make a Wish stamp set in the Spring Mini.

Stamp Sets – Oh Whale, Make a Wish
Card Stock – Whisper White, Pacific Point, Real Red, Sunshine and Sprinkles DSP
Ink – Basic Gray, Pacific Point
Etc – Big Shot dies – Tasteful Trim, Happy Whale Sizzlit, SU Card base, Bigz Simple Numbers, Party Phrase insert and die.  Owl Punch, 1″ and 1/2 circle punches, My Digital Studio 2, fishing line

Have a great day!  Hugs, Fran

Got a graduate this year?  Wouldn’t this be fun?  The diploma, exam papers and banner were made in My Digital Studio.  The IPhone is an altered jewelry tag – and the computer is stamped with an apple from Itty Bitties (Spring Mini 128939).

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Number It, Itty Bitties

Girls Night Out

It’s a Girls Night Out – so get dressed up in your finery and we’ll hit the town!

Obviously we’re going somewhere fancy!  The flower arrangements here are lovely.

This is a “double wide” version of the Pop N Cuts Dress Form! It makes a 5 x 7 card.  I’ve included the video explaining how to do this technique – and another on how to use the Dress Form – by the amazing designer of this die, Karen Burniston,.  Make sure to watch her do her magic!

Supplies
Card stock – Basic Black, Whisper White, Summer Starfruit, Sycamore Street DSP, Brushed Gold, In Color Patterned pack
Etc –  Pop N Cuts base, Dress Form insert, Paper Flowers, Basic Pearls, 1 1/4, 3/4 and1/2 circle punches, gold thread, Little Labels punch pack, 1/4 square punch, Hearts a Flutter Framelit, Bird punch, Basic Gray/Black Two-Toned ribbon, 1 1/4 Scallop Circle punch, My Digital Studio, Oval punch

And here’s the videos.  You’re going to love these!  Hugs, Fran

Looking Spec-tacular

I love this single stamp – Spec-tacular (
132673 ) and had fun making this gift bag.  First I removed the handles from the bag with a hobby blade and then stamped the image all over the front.  I did use a Stamp a Ma Jig even though it’s a clear mount stamp – I’m just type A that way!  For the glasses, I drew them on Basic Black card stock and then spritz the daylights out of them using a mixture of shimmer paint and 70% rubbing alcohol.  I did put acetate in the lens – and, of course, rhinestones!

To make the tag, I printed out the sentiment (!) in My Digital Studio on Crumb Cake card stock and then made a tag shape and spritzed it with the spritzer tool and an Early Espresso Stampin Write Marker.  To keep the tag in place (so it doesn’t cover up my glasses) I added a jewelry tag punch to the back.  Let me show you –

Now the little tag holds the big tag in place!  I used a glue gun and a strip of Crumb Cake to add the handle back onto the bag.

Supplies
Stamp Set – Spec-tacular (Single)
card stock – Crumb Cake, Basic Black, acetate
Ink – Jet Black Stazon
Stampin Write Marker – Early Espresso
Etc -shimmer spray, MDS2, rhinestones, jewelry tag punch, spritzer tool and spritzer bottle

It would be cute with the glasses on the tag instead of the bag too.  Hhhhhmmm….might have to try that!  Hugs, Fran

Gingerbread Family

It’s the Gingerbread family!  And, while you’ve seen a lot of the Scentsational Seasons parents around here – the children have been hanging out in the Got Treats set.  You can adjust this up or down as fits your own family.  The bows/bow ties are the little cross shaped punch in the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch pack.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Scentsational Seasons, Got Treats
card stock – Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Snow Festival DSP
Ink – Chocolate Chip
Etc – 3 1/2 circle die, Holiday Collection Framelit, sewing machine, Dotted embossing folder, pearls, Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack, small heart punch, Decorative Label punch, MDS (for the sentiment.)

Gingerbread Hugs, Fran

It’s a Patio Party

My brother, sister and I had a surprise party for my dad’s 80th birthday.  I thought I’d share with you a few of the things I did to add to the celebration.

First – invitations made with Make a Cake and the layout cased from Connie Babbert (thanks Connie!)  Here’s some of the decorations –

Patio Party flags for the cupcakes made in My Digital Studio (Patio Party
Collection DVD (p. 199)
) and little cupcakes made from votive candles.

And big tissue paper pom-poms!  These were taken before the tables were set – but you get the idea.  And, of course, party favors – made with a combo of the My Digital Studio and the Fancy Favor Big Shot die –

These were perfect for a two piece box of bourbon balls, a rustic pencil and a little bottle of Maker’s Mark!  Great party!  Hugs, Fran

Graduation

Here’s what I’ve been up to recently – graduation announcements!  My youngest graduates this year and I’ve put off getting these together until almost the last minute.  So here’s what we’re doing.

This is a 5 1/2 x 7 3/4 announcement.  I’ll show you how it opens –

The belly band slides off and the Real Red/photo lifts up –

The 2012 and inside are done in My Digital Studio.  (I still need to add the open house info.)  The tassel is rolled Real Red card stock that is cut at the ends.

Supplies
card stock – Pacific Point, Real Red, Whisper White
Etc – Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, 1 3/4 Circle punch, My Digital Studio – Frames With a Flourish and Noteworthy Alphabet, Corner punch (retired), oval punch

I hope to finish them soon!  All the pieces are finished – still assembling   Enjoy!

Here are all the retiring lists! Happy shopping! Hugs, Fran
