Make It Tall

This is two Fancy Favor bags put together to make it taller.  To make this bag, die cut 2 Fancy Favor bags (I used two different patterns here), cut the bottom flaps off of the one you want to be on the top.  Line up the score marks and attach to the top.  You will want to use glue or sticky strip to make it strong.  That’s it – easy!  I closed mine with a clothespin

Supplies
Stamp set – Scentsational Season, Sweets for the Sweet
card stock – Be of Good Cheer, Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Silver Glimmer paper
Ink – Chocolate Chip, Cherry Cobbler, Versamark
Etc – Holiday Framelits, Gumball Green ribbon, Scallop Circle punch, 1 3/4 circle punch, clothespin, rhinestone, Dazzling Details, Sugar and Spice embossing powder

Hugs, Fran

Clothespin Spin

This is what I made for our team gift exchange.  It’s a fun project that can be altered for any occasion.  Here’s how you do it –

Die cut two pieces of chipboard using the 3″ circle die.  Set aside the circles and die cut around the negative with the 4″ circle die.  This gives you two doughnut shapes.  Glue them together and paint them white.  The clothespins are heavy – I used heavy chipboard for this part.

Cover approximately 25 clothespins on both sides.  For these clothespins, I cut my paper 3/8″ x about 3″.  Glue them down.  Any clear drying glue will do.  This one is the same on the front and back.  You could make it multi-season by using different paper on each side.

Tie a long piece of Cherry Cobbler seam binding to your base and start placing your clothespins around the edge.  Once I got it spaced the way I wanted, I glued one side down just where the pins touch the base.  Then I added a banner.

And a cute gift needs a cute box   The finished size of this box is 9 1/2 x 9 1/2 (which give you a better idea of the finished size of the wreath!)

Really?  These clothespins are for laundry?  Hugs, Fran

Santa Purse

Need something to hold a little gift?  Here’s the Petite Purse die dressed up just for Santa.  The band on the front is 3/4″ wide and the buckle is 1″ brushed gold square with a 3/4″ black center.  This was another project from my gift bag class – so easy and cute!

Stamp set – Border Banter
card stock – Real Red, Basic Black, Brushed Gold, Whisper White
Ink – Real Red
Etc – Petite Purse die, 1″ and 3/4″ square punches, velcro

Hint – you could replace the “merry” with the names of your guests and create place settings or guest gifts.

Hugs, Fran

Gingerbread Bag

This is one of the gift bags we did in my Gift Bags and Boxes class yesterday.  It’s a Fancy Favor box with a Scentsational Gingerbread Man on the front.  The closure is a decorated clothes pin.

The candy piece is 5-6 punches with the stamped image on top.  Add Dazzling Detail for some sparkle!  The people at my grocery store have to wonder what I’m doing with all these clothes pins!

Tree Tag

Isn’t this a cute tag?  It’s inspired by a card that Nicole Picadura made.  I used the main element (the tree!), turned it into a tag and added some bling – okay, lots of bling – and a little tag.  The little jewelry tag punch say “a very” – that was done by just using a marker on a stamp from More Merry Messages and inking only those words.

I think I’ll make a matching bag now

Christmas Bag

This bag design was originally a card design.  Amy Johnson designed the card – and I loved it so much I turned it into a gift bag.  I just had to “grow” it a bit  Doesn’t this make things easier?  Take any card you love and turn it into a matching bag!
