Valentines Day? Yep! This card is made with the new Hexagon Dynamic Textured embossing folder and the “love” from Sunshine Wishes framelits. The heart was was cut from the Sweet & Sassy Framelits in Glimmer paper. I sponged on ink – Real Red, Melon Mambo and Pink Pirouette onto water color paper and then embossed it. The love was cut from Black card stock and then fun foam, layered together and covered in Glossy Accents. Very simple. Hugs, Fran

Yummy in My Tummy
Who doesn’t love a sweet monster with a birthday wish? This Yummy in my Tummy set is from the Occasions Mini and I’ve paired him with the Cool Treats set and Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series paper. Plus he’s on an action wobbler!
His popsicle is covered with Glossy Accents so it shines and he is colored with Copic Markers. Hope you enjoy! Hugs, Fran
Saleabration Fun!
It starts today! Salebration! And this card shows off 2 of the free sets available when you spend $50. Avant Garden and So Very Much. I stamped a flower from Avant Garden in Melon Mambo and Tangerine Tango on to water color paper and then added leaves in Wild Wasabi and Garden Green. Using an aqua painter, I got the flowers and leaves wet and let them blend a little bit. After they had dried, I stamped on top of it with the So Very Much sentiment in Stazon. Think of all the color combos you could use! Hugs, Fran
Beautiful You
The Occasions catalog and Sale a bration start tomorrow and I think this set – Beautiful You – will be a winner! These are some of my first samples. The larger “squiggle” image fits on her dress! Simple stamping at it’s best!
Or some paper piecing for her dress in a monochromatic color scheme. The polka dot paper is from Pop of Pink – so I added a pink belt to her outfit. Easy! Hugs, Fran
Cake Crazy
I have a “thing” for tall, skinny cards! ( 4 1/2 x 8 1/2) I’m not sure why I love them, but I do. And this new Cake Crazy set makes them! I used Cake Crazy and Big on Birthdays with the Party Animal Designer Series paper to make this.
Cake Crazy is a builder type of set – you use the different pieces to make any style cake. I wanted the cake in the background so the sentiment would be front and center.
Once the cake and sentiment were stamped, I went over some of the details with some left over Dazzling Details.
And added some banners and a button to the top. You can kind of see on the left where I stitched the Pacific Point card stock with my sewing machine. Must be for someone special since I had to practically dig out my machine 🙂
Tomorrow is the day that the Occasions Catalog goes live and Sale a ration starts! Big day! Hugs, Fran
All Things Thanks
Happy New Year! Today I’m sharing a card using a stamp set called All Things Thanks from the upcoming Occasions catalog. For this card I used the Bokeh technique. I took the colors from the new Succulent Garden Designer Series paper – Old Olive, Mint Macaron, Calypso Coral, and Sweet Sugarplum. The mat around the water color paper is Gold Foil and I added some gold sequins and small dots using a gold pen. It’s a nice way to show off some of the large sentiments. Wishing you the best! Hugs, Fran
Haunted House
Time for little spooks and ghouls! I needed a simple treat for some little boys so I used a file from svgcuts.com called Santa’s Sweets to create a Halloween house filled with lollipops. The stamp set is Cookie Cutter Halloween and the house is made with Halloween Night Specialty DSP.
The windows have images from Spooky Fun peeking out on vellum card stock.
Happy haunting! Hugs, Fran
Karen Burniston Designer Challenge – Team Inspiration
This challenge for Karen Burniston’s Design Team is to take inspiration from another person on the team so I chose Karen Burniston and Karen Aiken – a Karen and Karen card! I made a Cascading Tag card using Karen B’s video tutorial and taking inspiration from Karen Aiken’s Cascading Tag card using patterned paper. I started with Stampin Up’s Presents & Pinecones Designer Series paper and Karen’s new Holiday Clear Stamp on the front. The little present is from her Evergreen Pivot Card.
The inside is made with the Adirondack Chair die and the Tag dies – featuring Jolly the Mouse as Santa. There are some of the new hanging charms dangling from the points. You can click on the picture to make it larger.
Now hop over to Karen’s blog or her Facebook page to see all the inspired designs and make sure to check out her Tuesday post for even more fun! Hugs, Fran
Crazy 4 Challenges – Sketch
This challenge uses the sketch (which I sort of followed!) I started with a huge 6 x 8 card and Karen Burniston’s Pop It Ups Midnight the Bat and Halloween Scene dies. He is hanging out on Stampin Up’s Sliding Star Framelits so he spins around the tree branch.
Spinners are hard to put down!
The sentiment is from Stampin Up’s Spooky fun and the DSP is the new Halloween Night Specialty paper. Check out the other Crazies designs for this sketch! Hugs, Fran
Karen Burniston Designer Challenge – Halloween
Halloween! Spooky or cute? That’s today’s Karen Burniston Designer Challenge.
I started with a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 card the Karen Burniston’s new Labels and Circle die and her Halloween Clear stamp with the new Stampin Up Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series Paper. I stamped the sentiment on 3 layers of the Labels and Circles dies and re-stacked them for the front.
And when you open the card –
A cute little Trick or Treat scene featuring the Twist Circle Pop Up die. The ghosts and pumpkins are from the Halloween Charms die set. I left the ghost as 3-D pieces so the pop up (!)
The little Trick or Treat bags are hand cut. So I guess my answer to the challenge question – spooky or cute – is cute! Make sure to check out the rest of the designer cards by going to Karen’s blog or Facebook page. Hugs, Fran
