Crazy 4 Challenges All White

PIU C4C All White 01

I am the guest player at Crazy 4 Challenges this month and the theme for today is “Don’t Wear White after Labor Day!” So we were challenged to make an all white card 🙂  I started with a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 card base (5 1/2 x 11)  and embossed the background layer with Stampin Up’s Gently Falling embossing folder.  The beautiful layered sleigh from Karen Burniston’s Pop It Ups Sleigh Gift Card Holder and some snow flakes from her All Season Tree.

Inside is a winter white scene adding in  Pop It Ups Iron Fence and Holiday House. The sentiment is from Stampin Up’s new Holly Berry Happiness

It’s hard to see the sparkle but trust me, it’s there!  I went kind of crazy with the glitter!

All the Crazies have created beautiful white cards so make sure to check them out!  And let me know if you follow the “don’t wear white” rule.  (I do – at least with shoes and purses!)  Have a great day – Hugs, Fran

Greetings From Santa

Greetings From Santa 01

There is an amazing die on page 11 of the Holiday Mini – Detailed Santa Thinlits dies – that cuts this swirly Santa.  I’ve cased the card in the catalog and it really shows off how spectacular this die really is.  The die is the full square – it’s so easy to use.  I added the stars, edge and sentiment and this card is finished!  The best part?  It comes as a bundle!  Imagine the Santa fun!  Hugs, Fran

Shake & Celebrate

Shake & Celebrate 01

It’s almost time for the Holiday Mini catalog to be released!  This little card is made with the Shake & Celebrate set for the sentiment. Since this set is photopolymer, it’s easy to bend it slightly on the block to fit it in the Bunch of Banners die.  The star is cut with with the Star die and outlined with a gel pen.  I used the Cable Knit Dynamic embossing folder for the background and some burlap behind the star.  The little berries are pearls colored with an alcohol marker.  Very simple but very sweet.  Hugs, Fran

Karen Burniston Designer Challenge – Girly or Ghouly

I say “Ghouly!”

PIU Circle Accordion 04 closed

This challenge is a Halloween challenge – Girly or Ghouly.  I started with the Karen Burniston Pop It Ups Accordion Circle Card die, the Bat Stencil, Iron Fence Pop Up AND the Halloween Scene die!  Yep – I went a little crazy!

PIU Circle Accordion 04 frontAnd as you peer through the card, you’ll see it just gets worse 🙂

On the left inside panel I continued with the fence and spider – cutting out the center of the Accordion Circle die.

The center panel uses the Halloween Charms dies – ghost and pumpkins.  Love the 3-D ghost!

The bats and spiders are cut from Stampin UP’s Black Glimmer paper and the sentiment is from Spooky Fun.  And it was fun putting this scene together.  Make sure you check out Karen’s Facebook page and blog for more spooky or girly inspiration!  Hugs, Fran

Cookie Cutter Pop It Ups

Cookie Cutter Christmas 02

I’ve combined some of my favorite things on this card – Christmas, Pop It Ups and Gingerbread Men!  The front of this card uses some of the new Stampin Up Holiday Mini sets – Candy Cane Christmas and Cookie Cutter Christmas and a new Pop It Ups die – Anita Frames Pop It Ups!

Isn’t the Anita Frames Pop It Ups fun?  And it’s really easy to assemble – love that!  My gingerbread men are enjoying it too 🙂  They come with a matching punch that made this card super easy to put together!  Hugs, Fran

Hang Your Stockings

Hang Your Stockings 01

This is one of the cards we are making this morning in my Christmas Stamp a Stack.  It uses the soon to be released Hang Your Stockings and matching die.  The colors are Emerald Envy, Real Red and Mint Macaron – which I wasn’t sure about but is very pretty.  There is a sweet holly trinket attached to the top of the stocking.  The stocking dies will be a favorite!  Hugs, Fran

Christmas Pines

Christmas Pines 01

Christmas Pines is a huge set – 22 pieces – with a matching die!  There are several different sizes of pine boughs and pine cones.  It also has some very pretty sentiments.  This simple card also uses a cut out from the Presents & Pinecones Designer Series paper.  Hugs, Fran

Holiday Mini Sneak Peek Twinkle Trees

Twinkle Trees 01

Coming September 1! This sweet tree is from a set called Twinkle Trees.  It has several stamps that create a kind of Bokeh effect when used together.  My card is done on a notecard (3 1/2 x 5) and uses Emerald Envy, Mint macaron, Daffodil Delight and Cherry Cobbler – and sequins!  🙂  I can’t wait to show you more samples of this set!  Hugs, Fran

Holiday Mini Sneak Peek Star of Light

Star of Light 01

There are so many gorgeous stamps in the upcoming Holiday Mini and this one might be my favorite – Star of Light stamp and Starlight Thinlit dies.  Using a Pool Party base, Gold foil and Bermuda Bay, the die cuts create a very light, beautiful star. And it comes in a bundle!  I used So Saffron in the background and some sequins to finish this card.  Excited?  Me too! Available September 1.  Hugs, Fran

Measure It

Number of Years 01

This card is my version of the one shown on page 10 of the Occasion Mini using Number of Years.  I thought I’d share how I made it so you can use my measurements.

Start with a 2 1/2 x 3 3/4 piece of Whisper White.

Stamp the Happy Birthday in Archival Black towards the bottom.

Stamp the stem above it in Mossy Meadow.  Line up the flowers and stamp in Blushing Bride, Rose Red and Pool Party.  (The sample in the catalog might very well be Mint Maccaron – but I used Pool Party)

Stamp the grassy/swipe image in Old Olive only inking up one time so it fades out towards the bottom.

Flip this piece over and attach some Old Olive Bakers Twine to the back.  Adhere to a Whisper White notecard using Dimensionals

Use the fine tip glue pen to adhere 3 sequins to the front of the card.

Let me know if you make it 🙂  Hugs, Fran
