After Christmas Pick Me Up

Let the clean up begin!  Or not.  This little card is for a friend that happens to be in town for the holidays.  The front is a dead Christmas tree and lots of wrapping on the floor   The tree is an Elizabeth Craft die, the card base is the SU Pop N Cuts base and the packages are a 1″ punch.

To do the tissue paper, I punched some 1″ squares and wadded the paper up – and glued it down.  See the poor star nestled in the mess?

When the card is opened out pops Karen Burniston’s Mug & Heart insert (which fits beautifully inside the SU Pop N Cuts base.)  I also used her Gift Card holder  and Banner & Borders framelits.  Use your imagination to see the Starbucks gift card inside the holder!

The steam in the cup and the hearts on the front are Movers and Shapers dies and the center of the hearts is a Neutral Candy Dot.

I only adhered the tag at the bottom so that the gift card is removal without tearing up the tag.  I printed all the sentiments in MDS2.

Supplies
Stamp Set – Woodgrain background
Card stock – Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Season of Style DSP
Dies – exclusive SU Pop N Cuts base, Mug & Hearts insert, Banners & Borders framelit, Gift Card Holder framelit, Hearts Mover and Shapers, Elizabeth Craft Design 5 part Christmas Tree framelit
Etc – Neutral Candy dots, 1″ square punch, tissue paper, Itty Bitty ornament punch and small star, gold gel pen

So now I have to go to Starbucks to get that gift card – ha!  This is a two-way gift!  Hugs, Fran

Reindeer Candy Pull

Reindeer Candy Pull 01

This little candy bar pull-up was inspired by a card that Connie Babbert did several years ago.  (Gotta love Pinterest!) I cased the elements from the front of her card – including the reindeer punch art – and used them on the front of the wrapper.  The body is a 2 1/2″ circle and the head is a 1 3/8″ circle with the sides cut off.  The ears are the small heart punch and the antlers are the retired snowflake punch.  I love how it fits on the front! I used Candy Dots for the eyes and a glimmer brad for the nose.

The ribbon is the beautiful Cherry Cobbler ribbon from the Holiday Mini and the Designer Series paper is Season of Style.  He is one of the projects for stamp club tomorrow.

Ink – Crumb Cake, Early Espresso

This is my idea of “re-purposing!”  Hugs, Fran

Snowman Nuggets

There is a cute video by Linda Bauwin showing how to make these nugget snowmen.  They use Snow Day and the fingers from children/women’s gloves.  I put them in a cello bag with a Top Note topper and my favorite sentiment from Christmas Messages.  It was from this idea that my mind wandered to the idea I showed yesterday – how to use the rest of the glove!

I guess I really showed these backwards   But now you know how to use the entire glove.

I (heart) Santa

This card starts with a Cherry Cobbler exclusive SU Pop N Cuts base embossed with the Sassy and Circle Label embossing folder by Sizzix.  I added some wide Cherry Cobbler ribbon and Silver ribbon under a Silver Glimmer paper die cut from the Sassy Label & Stitched Frames Framelit.

If you look closely you can see the Stitched accent I added on the front.  The final element is a tag from Tag 4 You stamped in Old Olive and punched out with the matching punch.

And the inside!  I used Karen Burniston’s House insert and matching framelit, her Ribbon Tree die and Banner & Borders Framelit, Season of Style Designer Series paper and the “mini Frosty” from Best of Snow to create this little scene.  The sentiment is from the November My Paper Pumpkin

I needed the tree to be taller so I cut two of them and pieced them together.  They are accented with Silver Glimmer paper.  The lights on the house are Basic Rhinestones colored with Copic Markers.  The house is accented with Dazzling Details and the heart on the door is coated with Crystal Effects.  I also added some tiny snowflakes on a few of the dots in the background paper.  (yes, my desk was covered with stuff!)

Oh – and the tree was topped with using the Tiny Heart punch in Red Glimmer paper.

To keep the tall tree from flopping around, I added an extra support to the back.

Frosty was stamped in Jet Black Stazon and colored with Stampin Write Markers.  To make the sign, I adhered some Season of Style Washi tape to Whisper White cardstock and cut the tiniest strip – to look like a candy cane.  The sign is from Very Merry Tags – stamped in Cherry Cobbler and punched out with matching punch.  The doorknob is a Candy Dot.

The sentiment is stamped in Cherry Cobbler and die cut using the Sizzix Banner & Border Framelit.

I think I might love this little Frosty even more than his original counterpart!  Hugs, Fran

Wishing You

This is my favorite card from the set I designed for UStamp with Dawn and friends Heating Up the Holidays.  We did this one last weekend   You know I have this “thing” about tilting boxes, cups, packages – so here is my Christmas version.  The washi tape makes it so easy to add some quick details to any card and that Striped embossing folder from the Holiday Mini is wonderful.  Hope you enjoy it!  Hugs, Fran

Let it Snow Banner

Cute banner – but I really don’t want any snow!  I could go the entire winter without it   But this is a Create a Banner kit banner and I have had a great time making these. My “tip” is to spray the back of the stencils lightly with spray adhesive and use a sponge dauber to apply the ink.   To make the “Let it” stencil, I used My Digital Studio and my Eclips.  I simply imported the Build a Banner Simply Created Kit alphabet letters into ECAL and sized them to fit inside the circle (which is 3 1/2 inches, if you’re trying itself!)

Supplies
Build a Banner Simply Created Kit
Christmas Banner Simply Created Accessory Kit
Ink – Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, Island Indigo
My Digital Studio – Build a Banner Simply Created Kit alphabet
Sponge daubers

I’d love to give you the number for the alphabet, but Safari isn’t playing nicely with me this morning.  If I find it later, I’ll add the info!  Hugs, Fran

Last Minute Halloween Treats

Halloween is this week and if you’re still needing a few last minute treat ideas – here you go!  On the left I used the Pumpkin Pie Goodie Gear Simply Created Kit and filled the cello bags with candy corn.  You can find the kit in the Holiday Mini  – page 32 (132792)  There’s a Christmas Kit too!  On the right I simply filled Halloween cups from the Halloween section of my grocery store with candy, stamped a tag using Halloween Bash and tied with some Baker’s Twine.  Really easy and really cute!  Hugs, Fran

Clearly Winter Wishes

This picture is something of an optical illusion – there really is no bend in the card but the light makes it look that way!  This is the exclusive SU Pop N Cuts base, the Warmth & Wishes stamp set, and Winter Frost Designer Series paper.  I also added some of the foil card stock – and this card really shines!

On the inside I used Karen Burniston’s new Multi- Tier insert cut out of acetate.  The Winter Frost DSP had a beautiful design on the flip side and I didn’t want to cover it.  I cut the acetate with the insert, stamped it using White Stazon and let the design shine through. I also added some rhinestones to the some of the snowflakes.

I stamped the trees in Versamark and embossed them with silver embossing powder.

Here you can see the mechanics of the card.  Love how the trees float!

Stamp Set – Warmth & Wishes
Card stock – Whisper White, Silver Foil, Winter Frost
Ink – Versamark, Coastal Cabana, Soft Suede
Etc – SU Pop N Cuts base with Multi Tiered insert by Karen Burniston, Adorning Accents Edgelits, Silver Ribbon, Acetate, Rhinestone, Silver Embossing Powder, Framelits

Hugs, Fran

Spooky Banner

Here’s the Spooky Banner we made yesterday!  It is a case of the Holiday Mini banner and was so fun to make.  I sprayed the backs of the stencils that come in the kit with a very light coating of spray on adhesive and we used sponge daubers to apply the color. Everything else came in the Halloween Banner Simply Created Accessory Kit (132698).  I ended up with 1 button and 1 circle design left over but several of the gals making these yesterday came up with very creative ways to use up every single embellishment   Always fun to create with friends – Hugs, Fran

Don’t forget that the 25 Year Celebration Sign up Special starts TODAY!

Halloween Bags

I made these for my stamp club members using the instructions found on the Stampin Up blog.  You start with the Mini Muslin Bags (page 36 Holiday Mini – 132180) and My Digital Studio.  I used the Halloween Bash download – recolored it as shown and then mirrored the image.  All of this is done in MDS.  Then I printed it on a sheet of Avery Iron On Transfer paper and followed the directions on the package to apply them.  So easy – and very, very fun to do!  There are so many cute ideas out there for the Holidays that it’s hard to keep up!  Make sure to share if you try this one – Hugs, Fran
