Bat Clips

I am so excited to see the Bat Punch in the Clearance rack (instead of gone for good!)  I’ve been making these little clips for a Halloween party – and if you hurry – you can too!  The original idea was shown using die cuts and chip board but I just used the 7 punches in Basic Black card stock- stacked together with Tombow Multipurpose glue – with an embossed bat on the top.

They are very sturdy when finished –

Stamp class this morning and evening – gotta run!  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Musical Tree

Here is my musical paper tree.  I used some retired Designers Series paper and you could also use paper made by wheeling the Music Notes wheel on Very Vanilla card stock and distressing it a bit with Crumb Cake ink.  The tutorial for making these trees can be found on Splitcoast.

I put Cherry Cobbler roses on top –

And little, tiny blooms throughout made with the Boho Blossoms punch (6 each of the small flower) –

I ended up sticking the pot in the oven for a while last night to get the pigment ink to dry.  I really should think before I paint!  Enjoy – Hugs, Fran

Silly, Spooky Box

I wanted to show you another sheet music project today – but the pot that I painted to hold it isn’t dry.  And it’s really not dry!  I wanted a Cherry Cobbler pot so I took one that had a coat of white paint on it and mixed some Cherry Cobbler with white paint – it was pink.  So then I painted over it with white paint mixed with Bravo Burgundy reinker – now it’s purple.  So then I painted over the entire thing with Real Red pigment ink.  The color is beautiful, but I don’t think it’s going to dry……sigh.  So here’s a fun little project I did for table favors for a Halloween party in works.  This is the Blossom Box die done up for trick or treat!

The “eyes” are from Sweets for the Sweet.  I’ve made them in Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Basic Black.  (I think he could be the Cookie Monster if you did him in Pacific Point!)  The eyes are on a small, accordion folded piece of card stock that is slipped between the pleats –

Isn’t he cute?  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Singing Bells and Boughs

Bells and Boughs again – what a gorgeous set!  It’s just so elegant.  I’m kind of stuck on using the Top Note die right now – it happens with me!  I get on a path and can’t get off!  And I was browsing through projects made with sheet music and decided to get out my Music Note wheel and play.

The bell is stamped twice and pieced together – maybe you can’t tell but the leaves are layered.  (And, of course, Crystal Effects on the berries!)

Supplies
Stamp Set – Bells and Boughs
card stock – Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
Ink – Early Espresso, Crumb Cake
Stampin Write Markers – Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke, River Rock, Real Red
Etc – Crystal Effects, Always Artichoke seam binding, Petal O Plenty Embossing folder, Top Note die

I’ve got another sheet music project to show you tomorrow!  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Spooky Treats

Here are a few things we’re making at my Spooky Treats class tomorrow.  The first is an extended candy wrapper made from the Candy Wrapper die.

And a #2 box with a special bow-

Aren’t those bats great?

That’s my funky bow.  It’s going to be a spooky time!  Scrappin’ tonight – and I can’t wait!  Love the time spent with my friends, ink and stamps!  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Elegant Sounding Joy

Black, white, red and silver – what a great color combo.  But for a Christmas card?  Well, here you go –

The “Joy” is stamped first in Basic Black and the star is embossed in silver over it.

And, to top it off, I made a video – my first one!  I didn’t exactly plan to do this card as my first video but my son was helping me get set up and this is what I was doing – so we went with it.  Let me know what you think!

Supplies
Stamp set – The Sounding Joy
card stock – Whisper White, Basic Black, Neutral Pattern Pack, Real Red
Ink – Basic Black, Versamark, Real Red
Etc – silver embossing powder, Fire Circle rhinestone brad, Black satin ribbon

Hope it works!  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Peek a Boo Elves

I have several pieces left over from my Advent Calendar class last weekend – cut from the Peek a Boo Frames Big Shot die in the Holiday Mini.  So since I’m still bouncing all over the place, doing projects way out of order, I made a tag.

The outside is stamped with Season of Joy – and the inside…………..

opens to these smiling faces from Holiday Lineup!

Ink – Real Red, Jet Black Stazon
Stampin Write Markers – Real Red, Garden Green, Blush Blossom,So Saffron

Christmas Lodge Sketch

There was a great sketch that I saw here and I could see immediately how to use it – and this isn’t quite it.  But it’s close.  My imagination saw a card a bit lighter than this – does this ever happen to you?  I made it up twice – one with the white square and one without.

The Mica flakes are so much fun.  Above I used my Two way glue pen to adhere them and below  I used Crystal Effects.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Christmas Lodge
Card stock – Soft Suede, Whisper White, Neutral Paper Pack, Early Espresso
Ink – Soft Suede
Etc – Petals O Plenty embossing folder, Modern Label punch, 2 1/2 circle punch, circle scissors, Quilted Early Espresso ribbon

Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Casing the Mini

On the front of the Holiday Mini is a beautiful card using the Christmas Lodge stamp set.  At first glance it looked to me that the pinecones and gorgeouse Quilted ribbon appeared to be tied to the card.  Now I realize it’s the wrapping for the package – not the card.  So here’s my take on the card.

The card base is textured Sot Suede – a beautiful, beautiful card stock.

I stitched around the image and added jewels – which kind of look like brads in the photos.  Then I realized that the Holiday Mini used Confetti or Natural card stock – so I spritzed the Very Vanilla with Cherry Cobler!  That’s one way to fudge around a design!

I love this sentiment – it’s from Snow Swirled.  It goes perfectly with Christmas Lodge.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Christmas Lodge, Snow Swirled
card stock – Textured Soft Suede, Very Vanilla
Ink – Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso
Stampin Write Markers – Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler
Etc – Quilted Early Espresso ribbon, jewels, spritzer, sewing Machine

Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Winter WIishes Stitched Felt

I apologize for my “stampers ADD” this week!  I keep jumping ahead and then having to backtrack.  Here are the rest of the Winter Wishes Stitched felt projects that we’re shown at my team meeting last weekend.

This is Carla’s.  I love how she used Buttons, Buttons instead of snowflakes!

This is Grace’s – sweet cinnamon!

Kat’s cute card!

She used the Simply Scored tool to create bricks –

And Holly’s beautiful vintage –

Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran
