This card is an example of the chalkboard technique. The images are embossed in white – the cake in black – and then white craft ink is smudged around the edges. The lines are drawn with a white gel pen. I colored the cake with Stampin Write Markers. Stamp Sets – Sketched Birthday A bit too busy for me – sigh, Hugs, Fran A birthday card for a missed baby’s birthday – sheesh! This card is an easy Pink Pirouette and white card. I stamped the elephant from Zoo Babies in Perfect Plum and layered it on an Apothecary Art Framelit. Some embossing and a ribbon – and it’s off to the mail! Supplies Hugs, Fran No stamping – but a lot of fun Cute – you can fill it with chocolate in case Santa is busy and you are put on hold! The words are hard to read. I will have to try a different font next time. But that’s the idea! Hugs, Fran Have you seen the Extra Large gift boxes in the Holiday mini? They are really big – 6 x 6″! And even though I had read the dimensions in the catalog, I was still impressed with the size. I took one and wheeled Music Note (120327) over the entire box and made a paper bow with the new Gift Bow die (129977) from the Holiday mini. I added a tag using Love & Joy. I stamped it once in Old Olive and then again in Cherry Cobbler and cut out the “&” and popped it up. My youngest went back to school this weekend. We packed her up in the middle of a thunderstorm – unloaded in 90 degree weather and then topped it off with more storms – whew! But she’s there, safe and sound – it was Mom that needed a nap! Hugs, Fran A little Christmas card – showing off the new ornament punch. This is a great set and it comes as bundle! (133282 wood or 133283 clear) I used the Season of Style Designer Series paper and some Baker’s Twine to make this card. Supplies I’m teaching my Season of Style Journal class today! I used Witches’ Brew DSP to make them and some silver foil add accents. The tall one has a Halloween Bash tag to let the recipient know to be ware! (This coordinates with the Label Framelits) The short jar is decorated with a label that comes with the file. I added lots of rhinestones and a vintage button. Supplies There is now not one scrap of Basic Black cardstock in my craft room Pop N Cuts! My favorite On the inside I used Christmas Collectibles and a single stamp – Prince of Peace. This set goes with the Deco Label Framelits so it works perfectly with the Label insert. To get the different colors on the stamp, I inked it up in Pool Party and then went over the selected words with an Island Indigo Stampin Write Marker. The ornaments were stamped twice – once in Versamark and embossed in silver and once in Bermuda Bay to punch for the centers. The ornament lines and accents on the card were cut from the new Silver Foil card stock – so pretty! The sentiment on the Whisper White piece is half of the sentiment from Calm Christmas – embossed in silver. Supplies I’ll have some more Halloween for you soon. Hugs, Fran Spooky, spooky! These little treat bags are made from the Mini Muslin bags in the Holiday Mini (132180) I used the Banner Simply Created Kit (132699) dotted stencil, Classic ink and a sponge dauber to make the polka dots. On this one I applied a very retired rub on – and that worked great! Fun way to use up some these left over pieces For this one I used the retired bat punch and punched it out 8 times. I glued a tiny piece of ribbon between the pieces so it can hand from the tie. The bag on the left uses Basic Black and Tangerine Tango. For the one on the right I switched to Pumpkin Pie and Basic Black. Here’s a hint for working with the stencils – spray the backs with spray adhesive. Then I store them on window sheets. This really helps keep them down while working. I have tried spritzers, daubers and sponges to apply the color – and my preference is daubers. Can you tell I’m cleaning out my craft room? We’re having a stamping garage sale September 13 and 14 and I’m trying to clear things out – and find myself ending up creating with the stuff I’m uncovering!! Then I layered an embossed circle on a penny and made a spinner. It slides between his two hands Supplies These spinners are very addicting!
