Delightful Dozen Mothers Day

This card came together from a group of pieces that were in my stamping “pile!”  I had a dress form that I had already stamped and then changed my mind, a butterfly that was a left over from a project and several doilies that had been used to spritz another card.  Put them together and you get this!

This is the card that I used the doilies to spritz the front.  It’s a case of one that Donna Griffith did at a stamping demo.  So the Doilies were already very saturated with Shimmer Mist before I even started!  I just turned the center one over so it was solid.

The dress form had some of the Lace tape in the Spring Mini on the front – then sponged over and removed.  En Francais was stamped over the entire piece.

Fabulous Flourishes was stamped on the background using Stampin Write Markers.  Then I used Crystal Effects on the Not Quite Navy flowers to make them pop.

Supplies

Stamp Sets – Delightful Dozen, Papaya Collage, En Francais, Netting, Fabulous Flourishes
Cardstock – Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Not Quite Navy
Ink – Crumb Cake, Early Espresso
Stampin Write Markers – Early Espresso, Not Quite Navy
Etc – Dress Form Framelits, Doilies dies, Artisan kit (button) Lace tape, Crystal Effects, black twine, Platinum shimmer spray

All typos are my cat’s fault.  He has decided that he must sit on my arms while I type!  Hugs, Fran

Floating Framelits

This is a case of a project that the amazing Karen Burniston did for UStamp with Dawn and Friends Big Shot Roundup.  A Floating Framelits card – with a Dress Form embellishment, of course!  I used the Window Framelit – which didn’t work quite as well as the Label Framelit she used – but is still fun.  You can find the instructions over at UStamp.

Supplies
Stamp Set – Wonderful Mother
cardstock – Whisper White, Tea for Two Designer Series paper
Ink – Calypso Coral, Crumb Cake
Etc – Pop N Cuts Base die, Windows Framelits, Dress Up Framelit, Flower Trim, 1 1/4 and 1 3/4 circle punches

I’m going to start cooking today for Easter I’m having my 3 children and several friends for the weekend so I think I’d best get a few things finished.  And of course, we’re scrappin’ tonight!  I can’t wait!  Hugs, Fran

Wonderful Mother

Comfort Cafe – such pretty Designer Series paper!  Are you starting to think about the patterns that will retire – and stocking up on those you HAVE to have?  This is one of mine!  I used a Sizzix Accordion Flip die to make this album and the yummy Comfort Cafe DSP!  This is how it looks closed.  I cut through the first two layers with the Heart framelits – another love!  The Cajun Craze heart is floating – on fishing line, of course

I used a line of Basic Pearls to outline the heart.

A window sheet stamped in Whisper White Craft ink – Netting – for one of the see through panels!

Fabulous Phrases in the tiniest heart – and some Cajun Craze ink.

And the beautiful sentiment from Wonderful Mother – it’s just perfect!  Plus a Cute Clip – hearts all over the place!

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Fabulous Phrases, Wonderful Mother
card stock – Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Comfort Cafe Designer Series paper
Ink – Soft Suede, Cajun Craze, Whisper White craft
Etc – Hearts Framelits, Cute Clips, 1 3/4 circle punch, pearls, window sheet, Soft Suede taffeta ribbon, fishing line, Sizzix Accordion Flip die

Start making a list of the Designer Series papers you want now – and you’ll beat the rush in May.  (And put this one on your list!)  Hugs, Fran

Holiday Mix Up

I was so excited thinking I was getting ahead on Mother’s Day – until I remembered that Mother’s Day was a few weeks ago and I already made (and gave) several cards to my mom!  Sheesh!  So I guess I’m ahead of the game for next year!

I used this sketch –

and created this card –

(I meant to only color some of the flowers – in case you were wondering if I’ve completely lost it!)

Supplies
Stamp sets – Elements of Style, All Holidays
card stock – Pink Pirouette, Pink Pirouette DSP, Whisper White
Ink – Crumb Cake, Early Espresso
Stampin Write Marker – Pink Pirouette
Etc – Early Espresso Satin ribbon, pearls

The brain freezes may be caused by being asked to demo at Stampin’ UP’s convention this year!  I’m thrilled to be asked – but it does cause some major panic!  Hopefully I’ll calm down soon so I can get some samples done.
Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran
