Tie One On

Snow Much Fun is one of the first sets I purchased from the current Idea Book and Catalog.  I just love these little guys!  This is a 3 x 6 card that I’m using as a tag to spruce up a present.  The larger size makes it show off nicely on the gift.

Supplies
stamp set – Snow Much Fun
card stock – Real Red, Pacific Point, watercolor paper
Ink – Jet Black Stazon, Bashful Blue, Real Red, Pacific Point, Basic Gray, Crumb Cake, Pumpkin Pie
Etc – Modern Label punch, Pacific Point brads (Brights), aqua painter

Note – I usually use Basic Gray instead of Black when I’m watercoloring.

Christmas is a week away!  I still have 2 birthdays to celebrate before then (my mom and my brother) so I’m scurrying around trying to make lists and checking them 9 or 10 times an hour.  I’m so thankful when I can shut myself up in my craft room and stamp some sanity!  Enjoy – Hugs, Fran

MDS Packaging

I love My Digital Studio!  I had a little brown bag from a store that was easily re-made into a gift bag just by printing out some elements from Very Merry.  Snip, snip – a bit of Designer Series paper and ribbon – and it’s converted into this –

This is my idea of going green!  I printed it out 2 times and decorated the front and back.  Now to fill it   Not only are we celebrating Christmas – we have 4 birthdays this month.  I need lots of packaging!

Schools out so I got up early to have some stamp time before the chaos and comotion.  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Some More Little Boxes

While I was making the little boxes for my team meeting, I kept coming up with different designs.  (Actually, I still am!)  So I put a few of them together.  These boxes are made by cutting 1 1/2 inches off the top of the Fancy Favor box and adding a 4′ circle (scored at 3 1/8) to the front.  Here’s a few other ideas.  A fancy ornament in Shimmery White and Brushed Gold –

A cupcake –

A snowman –

Is your mind whirling now with all the things this little box could be?

On a side note – we’ve figured out the internet problem and it’s going to involved moving a few things around to enable a better signal.  Guess what I get to do today?

Today is the last day of school here!  I can’t believe how quickly the time is going.  Hopefully we’ll get to go see Southern Lights tonight – it’s a huge light display at the horse park.  I’m ready for something to get us in the holiday spirit!  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Merry Winter Case

One of my favorite samples in the Idea Book is the sample for Merry Winter on page 41.  I gathered up the supplies I have on hand and recreated it.

The biggest difference is that I pleated some Real Red Designer Series paper down the side instead of using ribbon.

Supplies
Stamp Set – Merry Winter
card stock – Real Red, Lucky Limeade, Whisper White
Stampin Write Markers – Real Red, Lucky Limeade, Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip
Etc – Full Heart punch, Owl Punch, buttons, 1/8 Real Red ribbon, Stamp a Ma Jig

Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

More Projects

Here’s another project from our team party on Sunday.  Martha made this- it looks like a candle, smells like a candle, feels like a candle and runs on a battery!  I had not seen one yet – so I was so intrigued!

I made little gift boxes for everyone using the Fancy Favor box die and the 4″ circle die.  It held a container of Mica flakes perfectly!

The top of the ornament is the Postage Stamp punch and the snowflake is the Northern Frost die.  The Designer Series paper is Holly Berry Bouquet – and the yummy Red Glitter paper!  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Team Projects

We had our team party yesterday – fun, fun, fun!  We always do a gift exchange and the ideas were so cute and creative that I have to share some of them with you.  Shelley Hopps (Mocha Memories) made a Christmas card holder –

Isn’t that clever?  Do you recognize the topper?  It’s fashioned after the Christmas Keepsake box!

Carla made a darling set of cards  showcasing the Bakers Twine-

Katherine made a set of cards using the Stitched Felt and a box fashioned after the Christmas Keepsake box!

I’ll have to share the rest later today – my internet is being wonky again.  (I’ve got to get my son to fix this while he’s on break!)  Make sure you get your Christmas gift from me – Santa Hat Card Tote – Hugs, Fran

Merry Christmas to You

Merry Christmas a bit early!  As a great big “Thank You” for following my blog, here’s a tutorial to create my

I truly appreciate everyone who stops by my little space on the web!  Your comments and feedback always delight me – and even just knowing you’re out there makes it all worthwhile!

I’m giving it to you early so you can make your own to give.  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Christmas Pines

This card is similar to one I did last year – simple and sweet.  It uses Pines and Poinsettias and Four the Holidays.

On this card I used Dazzling Details – but found that Crystal Effects and Dazzling Diamonds works better on the small images.  This also used the Designer Frames to highlight the pine cone.

Supplies

Stamp sets – Pines and Poinsettias, Four the Holidays

card stock – Shimmery White, Real Red

Ink – Chocolate Chip

Stampin Write Markers – Real Red, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive

Etc – Designer frames, Old Olive 1/8 ribbon, Dazzling Details

I’m working on a special gift for all my blog friends!  Hope to have the directions ready to go tomorrow – but here’s a peek at what I have for you

Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Tags and Sneak Peek

I tend to give lots of gift cards to my teenage nieces and nephew.  It’s just easier for that age group- LOTS easier!  You can use the Big Shot Petite Pocket die to wrap up gift cards in a snap!

This is so easy – die cut the Petite Pocket (I used the glitter dots from Holly Berry Bouquet) and adhere a very thin strip down of Real Red down the middle.  Add a Real Red satin bow and a Crumb Cake tag stamped with Dear Santa – and you’ve got a cute gift card holder.  Almost makes me feel guilty – it’s so easy!  Here’s a note – I do not adhere the sides of the pocket together when using it for gift tags.  A brad on the back holds the holder together just fine.  You can adhere it if you want – it’s just a bit snug that way and if that’s what you’re going for – it works!

And a sneak peek – Bordering on Romance from the upcoming Occasions Mini.  (I just had to stop and play with new stuff!)

Supplies
Stamp sets – Bordering on Romance, Petite Pairs
card stock- Pink Pirouette, Pink Pirouette DSP Whisper White
ink – Basic Black, Pretty in Pink
Stampin Write Markers – Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink, Wild Wasabi
Etc – pearls, Scallop #2 die, 2 1/2 Circle punch, Edgelit die and Textured Impressions embossing folder

I’m having some really strange computer problems this morning.  It’s only raining outside so I’m not sure what the problem could be.  I have a definite love/hate relationship with my computer.  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran
